What guests think

Premier Sofia Airport Hotel suits short airport stopovers with its near-terminal location and free shuttle, offering modern, spacious rooms and generally clean spaces, while reviews note inconsistent service and recurring temperature control frustrations; the surrounding area lacks walkable attractions.

Breakfast is widely praised, including very early grab-and-go options, though opinions on restaurant food, value, and late-night room service are mixed. Shuttle logistics and pickup points can be confusing, and the short access road may be rough; some guests report occasional in-room maintenance or amenity issues. Expect a convenient, functional stay focused on airport access rather than neighborhood exploring.

Comfortable modern hotel, good breakfast. The temperature of the room was very warm and the thermostat in the room was disabled! The shuttle no longer waits in the bus station at T2 - now it only picks up guests in the main drop off zone. You must watch for the shuttle bus and request it to stop - the name of the hotel is on the bus, but it is difficult to see in the dark.

Fantastic hotel with pleasant staff. Check in was easy although we struggled to park even in the underground. Seemed a lot of cars with long stay papers in the windscreen. Room was really big but carpet has what looked like a cigarette burn in it. Either way suited us. The best thing about the hotel is we had an early flight and they put on an early breakfast from 3am! Fantastic! Sandwiches and fruit with drinks. Excellent touch. I will definitely be booking again on my next visit to Sofia and would highly recommend

I couldnt fault the property, great hotel. Warm and contemporary style, very quiet as well. Warning to travellers, make use of the free shuttle bus kindly provided by the hotel as the local taxi drivers are scammers. One guy tried charging us €20 for a 2km trip, dodgy guy very eager to agree an off-meter price.we got out and a ki dly local explained the m.o. of tbe taxis. Wethen called the hotel around 2am and the bus arrived 15 mins later.

We came at 13:00 and were told to wait an hour for the room to be ready. When we arrived at the room, there was an unpleasant smell of urine coming from the bathroom. The coffee machine didn’t work and leaked, the bathroom was dirty and with traces of previous guests (hair, bottle seal etc). The faucet of the sink was poorly attached. There was no hand soap at all. Can’t fault the desk, as we returned late from the trip to Sofia, and noticed it mostly in the morning. The breakfast was good.

Air conditioning not working , not enough ventilation in the room. Carpet was dirty. Office chair was dirty. We called the reception couple of times for air conditioning and they said it is central- they turned the air conditioning for little bit; however, we were not able to sleep all night. Mattress not comfortable at all.

I would not recommend staying here, IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Considering you have to get a shuttle bus from the airport, you may as well travel slightly further and have a nicer hotel. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. The air conditioning didn’t work so the room was boiling (when we complained we were told that the whole building was set to HEAT so we couldn’t have COLD). 24 hour room service stopped at 10pm. Whole place is dated and needs a re-vamp. Service and people were great, and breakfast was fine.

We stayed in this hotel in early April when Sofia was already experiencing a few weeks of unseasonably hot weather. Our room was facing west, getting a lot of afternoon heat from the sun. The thermostat in the room did not seem to be working - we were unable to cool the room. When we inquired, we were advised that the temperature was controlled for the entire building and was set to heat and would not be changed over for a few more weeks. We were told to open the window, which was facing the highway. Not only did it not cool the room down but it was very loud and dusty. The road from the hotel to the airport is a dirt road. There was no fan in the room or the bathroom. No soap or shampoo was provided. No hair-dryer. There is a parking garage below the hotel that was very dark and felt unsafe. This was the worst hotel experience in a long time. This is meant to be a 4-star hotel but I would say 2-star is a more likely rating. We chose it with the goal to get a solid sleep before an all day flight the next day. We were unable to sleep at all due to the excessive heat.

Do not recommend!

Hotel/room was clean and typical of chain hotels. Airport shuttle was ontime and very convenient. The simple breakfast for people catching flights is a nice touch. The only but major issue was that the supplemental lock on the room door didn't work, and when brought to the attention of the front desk, she said "they're not supposed to work"....?? If true, that's a security concern, and if not true, it shows a lack of concern and accommodation for guest's safety/concerns.

Convenient airport hotel. This hotel is a 2 star compared to developed Western equivalent. The reception staff here are terrible, especially Daniel. He left me standing in reception for over twenty minutes waiting to check in. I was the only customer in line. He did serve a Bulgarian speaking local who arrived later and pushed in line. Other reception staff were just as inattentive and useless during my stay. But such is the general service in Bulgaria, ride and unfriendly.

The hotel is located near the airport. We stayed there because we had an early morning flight. The hotel is spotless and comfortable. The staff is excellent and accommodating. Our room on the 10th floor was attractive, comfortable, and quiet. The bathroom was spotless and had plenty of towels and toiletries. We did not give a 5-star rating because of the restaurant. In an area with NO restaurants available, the hotel misses the boat. The limited menu was over-priced. The service was prolonged and inattentive. The wine list was also highly over-priced. We would have had lunch and dinner there but weren't willing to be held captive by high prices and a lackluster menu. We walked to a small food shop and found sandwiches and a bottle of wine. We would stay here again but not go to the restaurant.
