What guests think

At Best Western Corpus Christi Airport Hotel, travelers frequently praise the friendly staff, decent value, and convenient airport location, while feedback is mixed on cleanliness and maintenance, with some reporting spotless stays and others citing dirty floors, odors, or pests.

Rooms are described as comfortable by many, though several mention small bathrooms, dark lighting, loud or weak A/C, and occasional plumbing issues. Facilities get mixed reviews: the pool can be inviting yet sometimes murky, elevators have been down or sketchy, and the gated lot with visible security feels safe to most. Breakfast is widely appreciated and kept stocked by attentive staff, but a number of guests found items undercooked, repetitive, or depleted late in service. Expect a convenient, budget-friendly stay with variable upkeep.

Great breakfast. Staff was friendly. Bbq pit was a great plus. Pool looked clean and nice. Bed was hard as a rock. Elevators were broken. Floors in room made my feet black. My shower wouldn’t let me take a bath. Dog poop all over the grass. Over all, I would come back again.

Property was nice and pretty quiet. Staff was friendly. The lady who ran breakfast was a rockstar. She tried her hardest to keep everything stocked and clean. Breakfast was good and interesting at the same time. Beans and eggs one morning. The room had a dehumidifier in it, which i only had to empty once in 3 days. It did its job. Only complaint was the pool was in need of a good cleaning.

A couple of the power outlets in my room were not working. Great modern upgrades, but unfortunately not everything was thought through. The shower bar in the bathroom is in the worst position possible. The shower head only swivels side to side, and cannot be moved back. So where the water aims is right where the bar is. While trying to shave my legs, I kept hitting the bar with my elbow. Also, furniture in the room looks nice but in the short time it took me to return emails at the desk, my legs fell asleep due to lack of cushion in the chair. Wish cable channels offered NBC options instead of just Fox News. But, this IS Texas, so... Not too many dining options, but the Mexican food restaurant next door was bomb, so I was happy. My room was directly above the kitchen, which made it smell like eggs at 6am. Great value for proximity to airport and complimentary shuttle, so I would recommend. Lobby is quiet and comfortable, and I was able to get work done there easily. The lobby aromatherapy is a little strong and not to my taste, but everything looks and feels tidy.

Beautiful lobby. Very quiet. Great breakfast but ran out of food both days. That is to be expected on holiday weekend. Pool was murky, full of kids and out of towels. Only a few minor imperfections in room. Parking was full. Property felt safe with overnight security. Water pressure and water temperature in shower not great. Elevator was sketchy. We still very much enjoyed this beautiful hotel.

The hotel was great .. but .. the 4 in the morning staff either is crooked or needs training. First they "forgot" to tell the shuttle that we needed a ride to the airport. Then after bring charged $37 for a small box of Pepto I was told I couldn't have a receipt, and then she "accidentally" refunded my card and requested cash instead. Again she could not present me with a receipt but I was in distress and had to leave to catch a flight. As nice as the hotel was and the shuttle driver was great, the counter worker had made it so I will probably never stay at this hotel again. It's a shame because the hotel was very nice.

We were anxious to check in after a hot day at the beach. Our room wasn’t ready yet even though we didn’t arrive until 4:30pm. No biggie. I have stayed at this property before and on the prior occasions, the room was clean and well maintained. This time the room, particularly the restroom shower/tub had mold and sink had mold Around the overflow. The condensation in the room after a shower and through the night was terrible. My towels did not dry. This was a holiday weekend and staff said the hotel was full, therefore I didn’t ask to change rooms. I also asked for dry towels and they said they did not have any. It is unlikely that I would choose this hotel again for my next trip to Corpus Christi. I am a rewards member and will try another BW in the area. My prior stays were in a room with a king, this time we stayed in a room with 2 queens.

Not happy with the room. It is the smallest room with a king size bed that I’ve ever stayed at. The bathroom sink was in the bedroom, separate from the toilet and the tub. The toilet and the tub were in a 5‘ foot by 5 foot room. It was difficult getting dressed in there or getting out of the shower. There was no room. Well, the breakfast was pretty bad. I had read such good things about this hotel and was looking forward to staying there. But I was highly disappointed. As I’m eating breakfast, on the windowsill beside me , is a dying cockroach. I had to bring it to the attendee at the desk attention. She just got a little piece of toilet paper, smaller than the roach itself, and went to take care of it. Never seen a room like this. And I don’t think I’ll ever book a room here again. Breakfast is served at seven and I was there at 7:15. The eggs were actually cold to the touch. The sausage link was cold. And the potatoes taste like little rubber squares. Never again!

Our Stay was great. The beds were super comfy and the room was nice. The bathroom doorway was very narrow but the bathroom was nice. We loved having the dispensers for the bath products that was very convenient. The pool and outside areas were amazing. We were a little disappointed in the breakfast. The first day they had a pancake maker which you just waved your hand and it made 2 pancakes. The waffle makers weren't working and what they had for other dishes wasn't impressive but was ok. They had eggs which was not real eggs it was probably the ones that you just add water to and then I don't even know what the other stuff was there was something that i think was supposed to be refried beans and then what i think was supposed to be ground beef but they had tortilla shells for it. The second day was the same with the waffle makers and the same eggs but they had gravy which was ok but the biscuits were hard and the sausage looked like little pellets which should have been ground sausage put in the gravy. It was still edible though and didn't taste bad. all in all it was a great stay and we will stay there again just wish they had a better breakfast.

Overall very pleasant stay. The room was very clean and cool. Breakfast had several options (eggs, sausage, waffles, etc.) Wifi worked well in the rooms. The staff were excellent and communicative. It looks like the space has been remodeled somewhat recently. The only reason I'm going down to 4 stars was the noise level in the rooms. If someone was speaking normally in the hallway, it was very easy to understand what they were saying through our door. Doors slamming after people left a room were loud and woke me up a few times. The sound through the adjoining walls was not an issue, though. The other reason I'm giving a 4 star is when we arrived at 6pm, our room was still not ready. The receptionist said that almost all of their guests had checked out that morning, and housekeeping was trying to make all the rooms ready again for a full house again that day. I really didn't mind waiting in the lobby for another 30 minutes while they got our room ready, but I can imagine if we were more worn out by travel I would have been less happy about it. Don't get me wrong, I understand when things happen, and it wasn't the receptionist's fault (they were very communicative and tried their best) but I think they might have needed a few more hands on deck. That aside, I would definitely stay here again-- location is great, breakfast and wifi included, and reasonable rates. Given the option I would have probably ranked this closer to 4.5/5 stars.
