What guests think

At Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Sheridan Hotel & Convention Center, travelers consistently praise the friendly staff, substantial free breakfast, and impressive atrium with waterfall, alongside reasonable prices and convenient access to I‑90 and nearby dining and shopping.

Many note the property is dated, with worn furnishings, noisy or unreliable HVAC, and occasional housekeeping lapses ranging from stained linens to lingering odors. Facilities earn mixed feedback: the pool, hot tub, large gym, and on‑site bar/restaurant are convenient, though the pool or hot tub are sometimes cool or closed and service can be slow. Overall, expect solid value and a comfortable but older stay.

Our air conditioner leaked all over the carpet and our things and staff said they would send up someone to fix it. Came back after the day out and room stunk so bad like stale water. Granola bar under bed. And just all around dirty and rundown. One positive was the breakfast.

Two things about this stay dropped my rating from a perfect score. I have limited mobility and indicated that, all the way down to reserving an accessible room, for which preparations were correct. The problem was that the directions given to me to park closest to my room had me parking 2 entrances away from the closest entrance to my room. I hope that understanding the hotel layout is something better understood by all check-in staff. The other is in regards to all the sting-crazy insects congregating near the hotel entrances, most likely to get near contents in the garbage cans nearby or for whatever other reason. I'm not one of them, but unfortunately, many people are allergic to insect stings up to risking serious hospitalization. I think maintenance or cleanup outside may need to take priority in order for guests not to need to dodge these insects when packing out to leave. Otherwise, everything about staying here was delightful!

Everything was fine except the noise, it was really difficult to sleep because the ac was so loud. It was loud when it kicked on and had 2 or three different sounds while it ran and a loud knock each time it stopped. I basically slept 2 or three broken hours while the boys had no problem.

We were upgraded to a larger, renovated room, which was comfortable. The A/C worked well in one room, but wasn’t as effective in the other. While there was hot water, it took a while to warm up and wasn’t as hot as expected. The building is older and could use some maintenance, but they do a good job keeping it clean. The breakfast buffet was good, and parking was convenient—staff kindly let us park our motorcycles under the entrance awning, which was great. There are plenty of gas stations, shopping, and dining options nearby.

I did not like my initial room as there was a humming behind the wall (maybe laundry or a generator of some kind behind the room). In any case, once I realized I would not be able to sleep there, I called the front desk. They came up right away (5 mins) to move me to another room. They upgraded me to a King bed (unnecessary) but acceptable. Everything was totally fine after that!!! I slept really well. A nice hotel stay!!!

We visited Sheridan and stayed in this hotel during an unseasonably warm weekend and unfortunately the air conditioner in our room did not work, which we later learned was a problem for many of the rooms where guests were staying. In addition the staff was totally overwhelmed and at multiple points were rude when fielding questions from guests telling them they did not have time for their requests and on several occasions either stopped answering the phone altogether or simply responded to guests that they were too busy to deal with the issue,

Check in was quick, staff was excellent. The first room we had, the heater didn’t work. Maintenance came and confirmed it was not working and the front desk got us a new room promptly. The new room was handicap accessible. Not an issue except for the padded toilet seat being torn, gross and not comfortable if you have to sit. The shower head would not stay upright, there was water everywhere after my shower and the shower was not clean. The bed and pillows were comfy. The continental breakfast was the best we have ever had with pork sausage, bacon and what appeared to be eggs scrambled not liquid eggs like most places have. We did venture to the bar and received ice cold beer and good service. The couple next door to us had a small child and it cried most of the night. (Not the hotels fault and we get babies cry, we are parents and grandparents) We would definitely stay here again. I would ask for a regular room and one that wasn’t adjoining to another.

Absolutely beautiful lobby. The breakfast was great, room was nice, clean, good bed and pillows. Had a fridge for me so that’s always helpful. I always bring my own coffee pot because most hotels have those crummy little one cup. Is that use a pod, not a K-cup, so you can’t use your own coffee (and there’s always terrible). The coffee at the breakfast was pretty decent. Stayed there last year on our way to a ranch and I looked for it again this year. I’ll stay again next year likely.
