What guests think

Across the reviews, TownePlace Suites by Marriott Raleigh - University Area is praised for very clean, modern, spacious suites with well-equipped kitchens, friendly and accommodating staff, and a satisfying complimentary breakfast, plus a convenient location near NCSU and I-40.

Travelers also appreciate the pet-friendly setup, including on-site areas for dogs. Isolated drawbacks include thin floors causing noise for one guest, a 10 pm lobby closure restricting group gatherings, and a single in-room shower issue. This hotel was absolutely amazing. Stayed jan 31st-feb 2nd and it was PERFECT stay from start to finish. Welcoming and accommodating staff, excellent options for the complimentary breakfast, able to park ( for free) right by the door leading to my room and the room was spacious and comfy for 4 women. Even their coffee was excellent. Will definitely stay again if in the area!!!!

This was a fantastic place to stay, and I slept like a log, but I think they could dramatically reduce their energy use by not keeping the fan on high and cold. I actually turned off the AC and it stayed cool all night.

We switched to Townplace Suites a few days from arriving in Raleigh and I’m so pleased that we did! First off … the place is gorgeous and clean. The rooms are very comfy, the kitchens well stocked and very updated, the bathrooms are very clean and spacious. My first experience was with Carter at the front reception via phone before our arrival as we had some delays. She put our minds at ease immediately. From there on all staff was amazing but Carter stood out as she was so helpful and friendly and made our stay a home away from home. The breakfast is hot with many varieties offered. I cant say enough about how wonderful our stay was abs we travel a lot. The workout facility was my favorite. All the bells and whistles I needed for training. Very clean and great equipment!

Great staff, very clean, close to NCSU. The only con to staying at this property is the thin floors. We could hear the folks above us walking in their rooms. I don't think they were stomping, just thin floors. A nice property but unsure if we would stay again because a good night's sleep goes a long way and there is not much you can do about noise if the floors are thin. Kudos to the staff all the way around

Excellent experience. We visited during a popular time so the general manager reached out via email to notify that they would be charging one night’s rate to the card on file. Check-in was smooth, I called prior to notify that we would be arriving around 1am. Everything in the suite was clean and the furniture was in good condition. Mattress was very comfortable.
