Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Monroe

Says online indoor pool .. no I door pool.. bed sheets dirty .. carpet pulled .. smells like dirty carpet

Bathtub jets stops sometimes more of a motel

I booked a jacuzzi room to spend a nice evening with my husband. The tub didnt come with a plug and when i called to get one they didnt have any and told me to shove a wash cloth in the drain. For a non smoking room the room smelled of pld cigarettes. There were kids stickers in random places. The room wasnt clean and the floor was so uneven it was scary. Went to take a shower and the hot water wouldn't turn on. I guess for the price it wasnt bad but wasnt able to enjoy it the way i wanted.

Dirty tub, jacuzzi and comfort already used sad

heater didn't work

Booked a room online with Expedia: Apon arrival our room had no toilet paper and our tv remote did not work, went to the office and second and then third remote didnt work. Never did have a working remote. Said they didn't have new batteries..Advertised as having a jetted tub but was told at check in the jets were broke. Advertised as having a pool but was told the pool was at the motel next door. Advertised as have breakfast but was told later that there was no breakfast only coffee. Room was stinky, dirty, unkept and out dated. The bed had only a paper thin spred on it and no blanket was provided! The window looked like it hadn't been cleaned in forever! The floor in and around the old jetted tub felt like it was sinking and had bad flooring. Most of the motel looked like people were living there and hanging out by their doorways and in the parking lot. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Room was confortable . Need to clear snow in parking llot and needs trashcan in room

Staff was really helpful, was able to go back for something we forgot. Room was easy to access in what seemed like a safe area. We got a hot tub in our room, there was no drain cover but a washcloth worked. The AC was pretty weak, thankfully it wasn’t too hot. Sheets didn’t really fit, which was annoying, bed was comfy. We didn’t expect much, got what we paid for and it wasn’t terrible.

I had the last King room available which included a Jacuzzi tub which the front desk staff said didn’t work. We get to the room which was 105 and it was a roach crawling on the tub. I instantly went to the front desk and they put us in room 330 I believe which was better. I later went to the front desk requesting a blanket because our bed only had a sheet and we never received one. I’m very disappointed in this motel and will never stay there again.

No WIFI... No AC in one room...Felt like people were living in the rooms around me...Lawn chairs grills ... one guy was working on and engine in an old car right in front of my room til 10pm My last stay in this place I made a mistake

Staff was nice but the room hotel was dingy, the room wasnt great. I killed a cockroach on the wall in the first time 10 minutes I was there. Checked for bed bugs and didnt find any but there were plastic liners over the beds. Sheets seemed to be clean.

Room, sheets and bathroom all dirty. Brought my own sheets. Tub was broke. Not worth the money. Might as well of slept in my truck.

Very nice staff but the place stunk like mold and was dirty

The room smelled of cigarette smoke.

Room smelled, shower was disgusting, bed had stains on it. Definitely will not come back.

My room was infested with fleas. I was moved to a different room which was also infested with fleas. They would not refund my money. They charged me an extra $15.00 per day for a pet fee. I spent over $100 alone on flea medication and supplies. Room spray, shampoo, flea combs etc. I would not stay there again if it were free.

Room condition was terrible, no locks in washroom, dirty floor, weird smell, no proper blanket, bedsheet were dirty and uncleaned, towels were unwashed. Never recommend to this motel

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! When I pulled up too my room. There were obviously ppl living there. There were about 5 men setting @ a pinic table outside my room. Little scarey being a women by herself with my service dog. There was bug poop along the counter by the bathroom sink. The doors were so dirty you didn't want to touch them, even to close them. If i hadn't already unloaded my car I would have drove back too the office & asked for another room. I was woke up @ 1:30 pm from bed bugs biting me. I got out of bed & turned on the light looked @ the bed & there was one crawling on my pillow, so i pulled back the sheets on the bed only too find on the mattress cover corner bed bug blood spots from nesting there & more bugs in the bed. I threw my clothes i had on in a plastic bag & tied it shut & put it in the trunk & 🙏 none had got in my luggage, hair or i carried any on me out the door. Drove too the office & told the man @ the desk my room had bed bugs & I was leaving, here is my room key. Well it's been a few week's since & no bed bug's. Thank God! Can't believe Expedia would have anything to do with this place!

This was the worst hotel/motel experience EVER. The staff were friendly enough. Found it strange they only took cash deposit instead of storing a card on file. Our room was horrendous. First the door barely shut. The cracks in it made it little more bearable than a tent. The ceiling was falling down. There were translucent/white smears of a questionable nature on the headboard of the bed. There were brown smears on the desk chair that resembled peanut butter. Holey curtains dirty walls. The worst part was there was literal feces smeared down the side of the outside of the toilet. I literal had to have my husband clean it before using it. The shower curtain was filthy with God only knows what ALL over it. I was scared I was going to bring something back home with me whether that be bugs or disease. I WANT MY MONEY BACK! I hated everything about it and if it wasn't so late I would have gone elsewhere.

Upon walking into our room, we found blood in the bathroom, a used marijuana container, a large stain on the comforter and the lights on, as though someone had just stayed in the room but it hadn’t been cleaned. Upon receiving our replacement room, we again found it dirty, a comforter with cigarette holes (4) and a door latch that seemed insecure. State police were attending to guests having an altercation. We felt unsafe, it was dirty and do not recommend. Not suitable for families whatsoever.

Stayed from Tuesday night through Saturday night and never saw maid service or new towels. Room was old and in disrepair. Door frame/seal was so off that I could see light from outside. Microwave was old and broken. No rack ,closet or wardrobe of any kind to hang any clothes. No drain plug for bathroom sink. TV, shower and deadbolt did work which was only reason I stayed.

The main door had a gap on it.not sealing But bed was awesome.

Travelodge, what do you expect. No telephone in the room, no trash can, no smart tv, no working smoke alarms, really comfortable bed, and sketchy neighbors. You get what you pay for.

The price was perfect. My room was clean but you could tell it was well worn. Bed was very soft--you could sink right in and comfortable. Only thing is wished it had a coffee maker in the room. I will make reservations again. Thank You.

Very old and worn out/stained carpets, trashy neighbors, but otherwise clean and ok for the cheapest price. It's 4 min away from Sterling State Park

We got to the hotel and had doubts immediately. It seems as though people are using it to live in. The room smelled like mildew. The windows on a first floor room do not lock as they were installed wrong. Bathtub fixture not connected and tub still wet inside. Felt as though we were not safe and our belongings/vehicle may not be either. This hotel does not look as ot was represented on Expedia at all. It is no where near as nice as the picture shows. The best part of the whole place was the nice lady at the front desk that replied with, i know the room/hotel isnt what people are expecting, once i came right back with the room keys to address the issues. Unfortunately, i was told that management doesn't give refunds, after she tried dealing with whoever her manager is on the phone. Apparently i was not the only one either. Another lady was in there after looking at their 3rd room. Finding windows busted out and broken amenities in their prior rooms. Just about as ghetto as it gets. We decided to just leave and find somewhere else to stay. If it were possible to leave negative stars, it would be as negative as possible. Needs demolished.

If your wanting just a place to lay your head for a night or 2 but not break the bank this is the place wifi never seems to work not sure why they even list it as an amenity and calling the front desk doesnt get ya anywhere they either say there is nothing they can do about it or they give you a number to call and they never can seem to fix it either other than that staff is nice and helpful with anything else

Noisy long term tenants. I know kids will be kids, but running on side walk in front of guests rooms at late hours is uncalled for. Musty/moldy smelling linens.

It’s cheap. Bed and toilet were clean. No bugs at all. All I heard was rain. Heat air worked. THE MATTRESS WAS THE HARDEST THING IVE TRIED TO SLEEP ON IN MY LIFE. Like no give, absolutely hard as a rock. So bad I couldn’t fall asleep and body parts kept going numb. I’m no princess, my van seat is way more comfy and I should’ve just slept in it.

No WIFI... No AC in one room...Felt like people were living in the rooms around me...Lawn chairs grills ... one guy was working on and engine in an old car right in front of my room til 10pm My last stay in this place I made a mistake

Made reservations for room with jetted tub apon check in the man was rude told us he gave our room away refused to refund us charged us same price for a cheaper room. Poor customer service bathroom was totally cringe had it not been so late we wouldnt have even stayed and id be fighting for thag refund today do not recommend staying her. Also phone number listed for property its disconnected.

Great customer service

I booked a Jacuzzi room there were two available, but when I got there to check in they had overbooked the Jacuzzi rooms and I didn't get my room as they had given my room to someone else. I did not receive a discounted rate for my different room. When we got to the room it was filthy, there were no blankets/ comforter on the beds, the cable/ satellite TV was not working, the lamps did not work, and there was hair from the last few people that stayed in the room littered all over the bathroom and bathtub. The staff made some inappropriate comments towards me while I was waiting for 10 minutes to be checked in. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I will never stay here again.

I wish I would’ve taken pictures. The staff at the front desk was exemplary. I have stayed at other hotels in Monroe and she would be a great asset to their team, but this hotel is very old. I picked it because I was on a strict budget, but I regret it. Nothing has been updated. we stayed in room 103 and I learned a valuable lesson about the value of my money.

The lady who worked the desk the 2 different nights I stayed she was very pleasant and very helpful 😊

Rooms werent ready by 3 wasnt ready by 430 a guy was talk to the maid and was smoking at the door and i did get a partial refund because i cancel at 4:03 and not 3:59 this plus is a dump.

Gave my room away, lied repeatedly, left me without a place to stay at 1am after a long trip.

Great stay for great price. Staff was wonderful

Clean and very nice front desk people

The front desk personnel made everything worth it. Thanks

The location was great for us, BUT the propetty is old and overpriced. Rates ahould be closer to $35-$40 per night.

Was right off the highway and easy to find. Allowed me to have my dog but the room has a musty smell. Wasn't very clean as there was hair in the shower. Lots of people seem to be living there. Felt decently safe but I also have a big pitbull.

This place was nasty windows filthy, smells of smoke carpet gross and mattress had no mattress pad and had bugs on the edges I left and asked for money back and drug deals were happening like it was ok to do

I want to be fair. This property is 1/2 the cost of the neighbouring ones so keep that in mind. The check in was pleasant staff was nice etc. There seems to be a number of full time residents? While I didn't feel unsafe, it wasn't quite what I was expecting. The room and beds smelled of smoke. I think what's going on is that the residents smoke, not in the rooms, but in the doorway. It wasn't overwhelming, but it was noticeable. These are small concrete wall rooms Shower was old and while it worked, it didn't drain well. I'm not too fussy, and I chalk this up to "you get what you pay for" there's plenty of other options in the area at 2x the price.

There was an issue that occurred with the police where 7 cars , a canine and 2 investigation vans were in front of our room because both rooms on the side of us were getting raided this started around 7:30pm Friday evening and lasted until around 11:30pm. The noise from the police tearing the rooms apart searching and bumping on both sides of us was unreal. We had prepaid for 3 nights but ended up leaving the next morning but did not receive a refund because the manager wasn’t there but once Monday arrived and I spoke with the manager Amanda she was very apologetic and very genuine she made everything right and I appreciate her because she didn’t have to and that just goes to show you that there are still good people in this world even though it may not seem like it. To Corporate at Travel Lodge Amanda Parker is 1 Employee you Need more of oh I also spoke with a young lady at the front desk named April that was very nice as well and the other lady that checked us in I can’t remember her name but she was very nice as well except for that incident that occurred the staff was very helpful and inviting. Thank You Again Amanda

The beds were horrible! They sagged at least a foot. Asked the front desk for a different room and she said they didn't have any. There were long-term tenants that sat outside with loud music, spoke loud, and used inappropriate language. We didn't feel safe.

I liked the cleanliness, the convenience, and location. I did not like that I had to wait on my room past check-in time and was still not given a disabled room. I needed help each time to get into bed. I was given a room with a jacuzzi that gurgled all night. The shower had nice pressure but no hand rails or bars, so, I had to get help. There was no coffee maker, no iron and no ironing board. There was no breakfast just weak coffee at the office. No more Wyndham properties. I'm disappointed.
