Residence Inn Tucson Airport

What guests think

At Residence Inn Tucson Airport, reviewers consistently praise clean rooms and friendly, accommodating staff, highlighting spacious suites with kitchens and a generally satisfying complimentary breakfast, while noting that parts of the property feel dated and some facilities can be unreliable.

Several reviews cite pool or hot tub closures, lukewarm water, or cleaning needs, though others enjoyed the pool and patio. However, furnishings show wear, with reports of thin walls, door slams, slow drains, and occasional slow Wi‑Fi. The location is convenient to the airport and highways, with fewer walkable options noted by some. Overall, expect a comfortable, practical stay with aging facilities in places.

Overall a very nice hotel. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast was delicious. The first night we were there the pool was broken. And the last night there was a fire alarm at night, luckily no fire. Which is why there are 4 stars instead of 5.

Overall appearance looks fine; the exterior, the lobby, breakfast area, outdoor seating etc. Cons; the interior rooms are dated, especially the bathroom needs a major facelift needs new toilet, flooring is old and tub shower is old. The bathroom door was broken didn’t shut. Called maintenance and while we were out they left an huge dangerous mess all over the carpet and bathroom floor; nails, bolts, splinters, wood dust and paint all over the bathroom floor. Didn’t even call housekeeping to clean up just left stuff there. Carpet is old. Sofa bed needs a deep upholstery cleaning. The pillows were old and lumpy uneven. The a/c doesn’t work properly. Also, didn’t know this upon booking but the Pool is Closed from November 13th-December 5th. Patrons can use the Hilton Garden Inn’s pool temporarily. They do have pool towels. Local area is dead. There’s nothing around close by to eat. You need a car, it’s a must, nothing is in walking distance in this area. Bring food. Buy food ahead of time. Pros: liked the spaciousness of the room. Liked the full kitchen. Breakfast was good. Parking was fine. The WiFi works but you have to log in again every morning for your stay. Would Not stay here again. No way. It ruined our Thanksgiving stay. I’ll go next door next time to Holiday Inn Express or other.

My check-in was smooth. I explained my trailer situation with the front desk and he gave me several options to park it safely. John on the night shift was awesome. I can’t say enough about this young man. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Breakfast was pleasant and hot. The Coffee was great and much needed. The property was very well maintained and beautiful. If I ever get out that way again I will definitely stay there.

Our experience at the residence in was good. Everything was clean, the staff were kind and welcoming, and the breakfast was good. Our only complaint was that there was a big party at the pool that was very loud. It did end right at 10, but we had an early morning, so we were trying to sleep early. We also went to the pool and were excited to use the hot tub, but the hot tub was not hot at all. Overall the experience was really good, the room was nice, and we would stay again.
