The Landing at Estes Park

What guests think

At The Landing at Estes Park, reviewers highlight high cleanliness standards, welcoming staff, and comfortable accommodations, while noting some trade-offs and occasional minor issues; overall feedback skews very positive, with many guests eager to return after relaxing, memorable stays.

Guests love the quiet, scenic riverfront setting a few minutes from the Beaver Meadow entrance and a short drive to downtown Estes Park. Rooms are generally spacious and tastefully decorated, many with balconies or patios, fireplaces, and river or mountain views. Noted drawbacks include lack of A/C (leading to warm rooms at times), plus occasional firm mattresses or small pillows, sporadically weak Wi-Fi, isolated noise near equipment, and some housekeeping or check-in timing confusion. A good fit for travelers prioritizing nature, peace, and comfort over full-service frills.

Peaceful, clean and great value for the price. While this stay was a vacation, I do travel a lot for work and the rooms at The Landing definitely measure up to what you might expect from a reliable and clean hotel. There are several restaurants within 1 mile (I recommend the Rock Inn 1 block away ... with live music and excellent food). The entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park is about 5 minutes away (max). We met several nice guests out by the gas fire pit. Some deer walked by one evening. There are nice views of the creek (some rooms/villas back up to the creek). What a hidden gem! No A/C but we didn't need it in late August. The room includes a mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine (k-cups) and wet bar (sink) ... perfect for the snacks that we brought with us. Would stay there again!

The room was spacious, clean & cute. Loved the grounds. Ate pizza on the edge of the water & enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. Check-in was informative & friendly. The only downside was no A/C, nights were to cool outside, but too warm in the room. Also could use new/upgraded mattress, that doesn't crackle when you roll over. A little overpriced with the needed upgrades. Overall really nice place & enjoyed the stay.

We had a large, comfortable room (Spruce) that was, unfortunately, next to a noisy ice machine. Internet reception was weak. There was some confusion about whether we wanted the room cleaned (we did) so we were disappointed to arrive back after a full day in the nearby national park and discover that nothing had been done. When we mentioned it to a staff member he said they lacked sufficient personnel to clean the rooms and had sent a text informing us. We found the text later. Curiously there was no information given at check-in and no notice in the room. The grounds are quite nice and while we were waiting to check in we saw wild turkey on the footbridge. The hotel is a short drive from the national park.

My wife and I recently celebrated my birthday and needed a night away for some self-spoiling. From the beginning we were assisted by Taylor (front desk) who arranged for a beautiful room. The room was quite roomy, clean and private. My wife inadvertently left a coat behind and Taylor was most helpful in retrieving the coat when we returned. I’ve had worse experiences when leaving things behind and this was a refreshing experience. Thank you, Taylor. We will be back.
