Stayed 1 night

This is a hotel across from a shopping complex that we assumed would reflect on the Hotel itself. Sewell or Sewell Ford appears to own most of the area by the new cars showcased at the front of the hotel. The hotel itself is yet another victim of many an oil worker in coveralls that has abused the property and an example of hoteliers that have accepted it and have resigned themselves to the damage and have given up. The place is disgustingly dirty and you will smell like a petrochemical plant or oil rig when you leave. It lacks proper cleaning. Of any kind. Did I say “nasty” yet. We slept in our clothes and went to the work location we had to be at and got out of there the fastest that we could. My wife enjoyed killing a roach as I was loading the car. We were afraid to sit on the sofa (smelled like it had been abused in some way and crying out for relief). Will never stay here again and after years of Residence Inn’s have started to rethink my brand loyalty. I doubt the Sewell brand own this hotel chain flag site because this is not their standard. Stay away and sleep in your car and recycle your coffee cup. You’ll thank me. As someone in the oil industry that employs a staff I was more horrified that this is how hoteliers are treating our hard working oil related workers in the field - who deserve better. BTW - we had the largest suite they offer.

Stayed 4 nights

Phone's + elevator broke, kinda dirty, big room, nice location, friendly staff. Couldn't call ahead to coordinate a work delivery, phone system was down during the entirety of my stay including internal room to front desk calls, no wake up call service or ability to call housekeeping when they didn't refill the toilet paper. I was notified by the hotel there would be a 3rd party cleaning of the hotel during my stay & that they'd enter my room & move my belongings as needed while cleaning, they stepped on the couch & desk to climb higher to clean, leaving dirty boot prints on the couch & desk. Room was very dusty + floors had debris despite the claim that the a 3rd party company had cleaned. I looked up the company they stated would clean the room, company didn't exist in the Midland/Odessa area... weird! 1 of 2 elevators stopped working on day 2 of my stay & was out of service the remainder of the stay. Room lights were dim making it difficult to work after dark, & hard to see when getting ready. Hotel has a small store for snacks + drinks, it was ~70% depleted with only a few items available. Breakfast was good on day 1, but lacking on day 2 & 3, I guess they ran out of food idk? Room size above average, quiet w/blackout curtains, kitchen's nice w/sink, fridge, cups, plates, dining counter area, couch was hard & uncomfortable, but good for packing a suitcase, comfy bed, hotel staff's friendly & helpful if prompted, good location, parking mostly full.
