The front desk staff is always friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and I truly appreciate their excellent customer service. However, I feel the cleanliness and overall condition of the guest rooms could use improvement. To my understanding, the hotel is under new ownership, so I hope some updates are being considered. One recommendation would be to remove the carpeting from the rooms. The combination of carpet, humidity, and insufficient deep cleaning is beginning to cause an unpleasant odor in some rooms. Housekeeping practices could also be improved. Linens that are heavily stained or soiled should be removed from circulation rather than placed in rooms for new guests. Management may also want to conduct occasional surprise inspections of rooms after they have been cleaned to ensure housekeeping standards are consistently being met. On more than one occasion, I have found used items left behind by previous guests, which raises concerns about how thoroughly the rooms are being cleaned between stays. The friendly and helpful staff is definitely a positive part of the experience. With greater attention to room cleanliness, linens, and overall upkeep, I believe the hotel could provide a much more comfortable and pleasant experience for its guests.
