The Inn was clean and decent. They did have a fire alarm go off twice in the night. They dealt with it as quickly as possible. A little frustrating, but not really the fault of the hotel. Beds were good. The pillows were a bit odd.

This is the best for the stay required for a surgery for my spouse. We were able to utilize the shuttle service to and from the McKennan main Hospital. When I needed to leave for my spouse’s discharge, the housekeeper staff assisted me with loading the suitcases into my vehicle. Having taken the shuttle to & from the Main Hospital, I knew exactly where to drive to be able to use valet parking to pick him up. I’m sure we will once again stay here when the testing for my cancer occurs in a couple of months

The hotel is old. Don't let that turn you away. It's quiet, good bed, and has hot water and good pressure. I don't have anything to complain about. 3 night stay and solo travel. I guess parking is kind of a pain, but still.....I'm not too picky

Center Inn is an older motel but very well kept and clean and above all is pet friendly for us that have furry companions. Also so convenient with across the street access to Avera McKennan hospital and surgical center. Great friendly staff!

The hotel was okay for a lower-price/quality establishment, but was positioned on Expedia as a much higher offering. The room was older, not especially clean and reeked of cigarette smoke despite being a non-smoking room. If not for the very pleasant and helpful person ar the front desk, we would rate the place even lower.

The whole property had an odd smell like a musty basement. Room smelled very bad and floor was so dirty could not be barefoot. The carpet felt sticky and my white socks were black on the bottom after only a few trips to the bathroom. Its convenient being next to the hospital that was the only upside to my stay. If you're planning on staying longer than a few day I would highly recommend staying somewhere else.

The room had a large crack in the wall in a corner which allowed us to hear everything in the next room like it was our room. Also, the TV did not work and the fan in the bathroom needs to be replace. Super loud.

Overall hotel was decent. location away from the downtown but easy to it all. Rooms are much better than the hall and lobby suggests. Bed was way too soft. I don't mind a soft bed but this was difficult to get onto. Door to bathroom didn't fully latch. Staff was warm and welcoming. Didn't try the breakfast.

A little beat up around the edges, but the bedding was clean and the staff were all very nice. Parking was close by. Breakfast wasn’t fancy but there was a small variety, and the coffee tasted fine. The AC was a little wonky, but worked ok. All in all a reasonable value.

The front desk staff was refreshingly pleasant! After driving for 11+ hours (just me & my dog), it was so nice to be greeted by the friendly front desk clerk & checked in with ease. For the building being so old, it’s well maintained & everything worked. My only suggestion for comfort-related improvement is to change how they prepare the pillows; which were condensed in the pillow cases to half their size. I had to release each pillow to soften them & the stuffing was very lumpy. However, I still slept great; as the mattress was perfect! The room was very spacious, and included a comfortable armchair & ottoman, which is different from most hotel room seating.

I have used this location several times. As it serves its purpose, there is one negative note... They charge $100 deposit that is supposed to be refunded if there's no damage to property. This may take days, but not as long to come out of your account.

Overall, the staff was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping did an excellent job cleaning the room. But the first morning I reported a broken toilet seat that almost pitched my 97-year-old mother to the floor, and it was never repaired. I contacted the front desk a second time after returning at 4 PM and the seat was still broken, and they said the maintenance guy had already left for the day and the best they could do was change our room. The AC was loud. The vent fan in the bathroom was extremely loud and rattled, and was controlled by the light switch, so you couldn't turn on the bathroom light without it.

Greeted with friendly helpful staff. Room was clean and had everything I needed. The shower had great pressure and I loved the shampoo, rinse and body soap. The full hot breakfast was amazing. The waffles were super ss was everything. Place was close to downtown amnd river. A straight shot down to the area. A+ all the way.

The desk clerk at check in was great. She helped my wife, who is going through cancer treatments, with all of our luggage up to our room while I was parking the car. I have never had a desk clerk do that before. It was so nice.

The room was clean. Beds were super comfortable! Elevator was spacious if you needed wheelchair or walkers etc. Hotel was quiet. Shower was nice. Front desk staff upon arrival was rather rude. She said they charge your card $100 for incidentals. I've had places hold my card but never say they're charging it. They don't charge it, they put a $100 hold on it which doesn't go thru if you don't steal or trash anything-normal procedure. When I told her I didn't want them charging my card she just said we'll you don't have to stay here and grabbed the key back instead of being able to explain that it is just a hold. Hotel is next to the Surgical Institute so it is super convenient. I read some awful reviews about the rooms but ours was on the 2nd floor and very good. Morning staff was very helpful in how to get to the hospital thru the hallways. Coffee was good. We didn't eat the breakfast so don't know about that.

I enjoyed my stay at The Center Inn. It's a quirky place in that it is bang in the middle of a giant hospital complex. I have not doubt that many guests stay there because they have relatives who are getting treatment at one of the many facilities within a block or two. The staff was great, the bed was very comfortable. It's an older facility so they are limited in what they can offer. The vending machines were quite well stocked. That was nice. The breakfast needs work compared to other properties, but I just didn't see the infrastructure needed to do more than what is already offered each morning. I would return for a future visit without hesitation.

The hotel is right across the street from Avera Hospital. Easy parking. Extremely clean older property totally updated. You cannot find a drip of paint dirt anything in any corner of the bathroom or anything very impressed. We were checked in by. I think her name was Samantha And then we needed a couple of things or ask a couple questions and at the front desk was extremely helpful also. Breakfast is a cold, breakfast yogurt, dry cereal, bagel, delicious donuts from the bakery, fresh, juice, coffee, banana, apple and oranges. Our room was large we room 205 and I recommend this because you can look out

The place was dated but clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. For the price, it was great for an overnight stay. The down sides were there was no hot breakfast (just cereal and bagels and cheap fruit) and the pillows were almost too thick. If you are the type of person who is very picky about your pillows then you'll probably want to bring your own pillow to this hotel. But again, for the cheap price, this was a great hotel for an overnight stay.
