What guests think

Travellers describe Baymont by Wyndham Midland Airport as very convenient for the Midland airport, but an older property with recurring maintenance problems—especially a long-out-of-service elevator and general wear—that affect ease of access and overall impression.

Room feedback is mixed: some find beds comfortable and stays quiet, while others note dated decor, noisy or weak HVAC, tiny pillows, and poor light blocking. Cleanliness varies from very clean rooms to musty odors, dirty carpets, and occasional bathroom grime. Service draws many compliments for friendly staff, though some report inconsistent shuttle availability and uneven responsiveness. Overall, it suits short, no-frills airport overnights.

I would never stay in this hotel again. The room seemed clean but needed repairs. There looked to be a leak in the ceiling that was never repaired. The elevators were out of order and appeared to have been for some time. The carpeting is dirty and worn.

The hotel is outdated. Elevator has not been in service for over a year (that’s what the staff told us). The plumbing was old. We only stayed a night before departing from the airport but I’m not sure I’d stay here again.

Concierge worked hard to convince me to “park and fly”, then refused to pick up my handicapped mother and myself from the airport when we arrived late at night despite my having twice confirmed our arrival time with the desk that day. When I called upon our arrival, He repeatedly told me “We’re closed.”

Convenient location. Helpful and friendly staff. Easy parking and very close to the airport. I recommend this hotel for easy access to the Midland airport. This is an older hotel but the sheets were clean, room was clean and everything worked as expected. Good coffee and enough choices at the breakfast. Plus....breakfast started at 5:30am which was very helpful in our situation.

The hotel is in need of an overall. Bathroom fixtures ate loose in the wall, finishes are worn and in need of repair, overall in much need of a face-lift. I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last 18 months and the elevator has been inoperable all that time and when asked when it will be repaired the desk host has no idea. Time to shop for another hotel near the Midland TX airport. One good thing is that the beds are excellent.

Registered at the hotel late, about 9:00 pm just for an overnight stay. First thing elevator was not working. Went back to check with receptionist and she was less than friendly replying that elevator was not working and we had to take the stairs to the 3rd floor. We asked her to reassign us to a room on the first floor and with an attitude she replied, that's what you paid for. During the night the ac and heating unit was making a loud noise as if I was riding a motorcycle. Needless to say, we did not get a good night sleep. Would not come back to this hotel, and would not recommend it to anyone else.

There isn't much in the area if you want to eat. The staff has poor customer service. The clerk watched me come in and stand at the counter before coming to check me in. Then, my room window faced the pool and when i closed the shade, there is no privacy shade, just the sun shade that allowed the property lights to light my room up like the daytime.

It’s near the airport so the area around it is rather industrial. It was perfect for us because we wanted the airport access. Breakfast was wonderful and the room was nice. The pillows were small which looked cute on the bed but were uncomfortable. The shower had a hole in the side where a grip once was. One side was plugged but the other was open. I worried about mold in the wall and water damage. Also, the elevator was out of order and there were no similar rooms available on the ground floor. It was difficult for me to climb the stairs with my arthritis. Will stay here again.

Stayed here for one night in April 2024 after coming in from a late flight (8pm). I called the shuttle and they came to the airport within a few minutes. I had no issues checking in.
