This is a good option for families on a budget going to Cedar Point for sure. It was extremely close to the park, you make one left turn and just drive 5 min down the road straight to the gates. Also the early access was awesome. Some things that I believe would have made our stay better would have been the cleanliness. The halls, though I know they were doing their best, smelled like a dirty diaper, and our room wasn't even made up the second day we stayed there. When we arrived there was some trash scattered around the bottom floor hallways. It seems they are most likely understaffed, so I don't blame the employees at all. They were are very nice and professional. It was nice that there was laundry facilities there and the pool was also nice. Breakfast would've been ideal but I realize this is a more cost effective hotel and it wasnt a deal breaker. Overall, we had a great time at the park and it felt like a safe and convenient place to sleep. I think its a great option for families.

The staff at the property is friendly and ALWAYS cleaning something. The hotel is very clean. we stay here every Fourth of July and have always been very pleased. However…this trip was disappointing as the pool was closed for the majority of our trip due to chemical imbalances in the pool. While we appreciated the attention to detail regarding the pool, we were extremely disappointed that it was closed for a lot of the trip. This trip earns just an okay this time but based on our past experiences with this particular property…we will probably still return as This was our first unsatisfactory experience here.

Best place to stay when going to Cedar Point! Very, very close driving distance (about 5 minutes from parking lot) We love that by staying at Cedar Point express we can get into the park one hour early. The hotel is very well decorated seasonally, and impressively clean! The only thing that could make it any better would be if they offered a grab and go breakfast. They do have a small store/gift shop in the lobby with snacks and some fun souvenirs.

I CHOSE THIS HOTEL CONDUCIVE TO IT'S LOCATION-CLOSE TO CEDAR POINT. IT WAS NICE.FOR THERE BEING A LOT OF KIDS YOU WOULDN'T HAVE KNOWN GIVEN THE QUALITY OF THE HOTELS STRUCTURE. I WAS NEVER AOKEN BY HALLWAY NOISE LIKE OTHER HOTELS. BONUS IS THAT THE OUTDOOR POOL IS OPEN UNTIL 11PM!!!

Nice stay. I was surprised to find an in room coffee maker (hotel pod, nothing fancy, but I was unaware they were provided). Brought our own in room breakfast and iced coffee. Another surprise was the pool was still open in September. We didn’t have time to enjoy it, but it was a nice option.

although we came back again because we really liked it last year, but didn't meet our expectations this time. Beds were comfortable and cozy , however I had to ask for changing the sheets because apparently there was black marks( looked like eye liner)on one of the beds which I'm assuming it was never changed. Over all cleaningness of the room was poor. Chairs were not wiped, bathroom floor had pieces of tissue, and dust around. Plus, I put my kids in the shower after a long day and there was Zero Shampoo !, so i had to leave my little ones in there with the water running ( complaining about being cold) to go and call house keeping, luckily the front desk lady didn't take too long.

I stayed for one night the day before the park based upon reviews of the location to the park and price. I wouldn't say it was very ideal. From afar it looks like a nice place but as an experienced traveler I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you are desperate to find something. The room was not clean and I read this in other reviews but I was skeptical. The mirrors and the door especially had fingerprints all over them from the previous guests. There were Pepperidge Farm Goldfish at the perimeter of the bed which were not vacuumed up. The sheets on the bed were thin as tissue paper. The room was damp which is understandable because of its location but everything was damp the next day including the sheets, our clothes etc. The pool is nice but upon entering it didn't look like it was cleaned for a few days. So, with that said, we went in for 5 minutes and left. There is no breakfast served which makes it inconvenient to have to run out when you can stay across the way for $30 more and get a full breakfast at the Holiday Inn Express.

This was a traumatic experience for my family. On the first night in the hotel my daughter woke me up crying in the middle of the night saying there were bugs in her bed. I checked and found 3or 4 ants. I assured her it was ok I got them all and she should go back to sleep. She ended up sleeping with me. The second night same thing. Middle of the night ants on the floor in the bathroom dad. Again 4-5. Killed them and went back to bed. The 3rd night was the bad one. Woke up and there were ants everywhere!!!!!!!!! My bed her bed our clothes our bags the bathroom. I’m not talking 4-5 ants either I’m talking thousands and thousands of ants. I work in a lumber mill and this was worse then anything I’ve ever seen. I could not for the life of me figure out what was attracting them because we didn’t bring food into the hotel. So after I wake up to my daughter literally covered in ants I look around and find the remnants of someone’s grapes. Which means after 3 days of “cleaning” our room there was still the guest before us’s food garbage on the floor. I changed hotels for the remainder of my stay in Sandusky. I called the hotel and someone was supposed to have called me back. Been 2 days and haven’t heard nothing. I feel like a terrible dad for putting my children through this. Please Learn a lesson from me. The early access just isn’t worth the trauma this has caused my child.

Hotel is very convenient for Cedar Point, which is why we stayed. However, there was toothpaste splatter on the inside of the shower curtain, no body wash in the bottle in the shower, and hair in the tub. The shop in the lobby sells coffee, but at 9 AM on Sunday morning it was already out. Overall, I wouldn’t stay again.

I checked in and found a bbq platter in my dresser that had been there for quite some time. Molded and bugs. Only open when cedar point is after Labor Day, so for many days. Did not have a remote either, which is only way to use the TV.

Location was excellent, very close to Cedar Point. Check in was easy and staff was pleasant and helpful. Room was average. Housekeeping was inconsistent- one day the service was excellent, the next day they didn’t make one of the beds and didn’t take the dirty towels from the room. Overall the room was very humid and damp to the point where the carpet and beds felt damp. We asked about it at the front desk and they said it was a common issue, likely because of the time of year we were visiting. The visit was fine but I would spend a bit more for something nicer like the Holiday Inn Express next door if I was to return.

This was a pretty nice place to stay. It was easy to find, park, and leave. I gave 4/5 on cleanliness only because the undermount bathroom sink needed scrubbed under the rim. Otherwise, the room was clean. I even did the barefoot test on the carpet and hard floor for stickiness - none! All good! The room was VERY quiet which was a pleasant surprise after seeing the herd of children in the lobby during check in. Check in process was painless and the employee was friendly and helpful. Used the free passes to access Cedar Point amusement park an hour early as a perk of staying at a park affiliated property. That perk was a great experience! I would not only stay here again, but would also recommend the property to friends of all ages, with or without children/grandchildren, when spending a day or more at Cedar Point.

Booked early and got an amazing rate for a getaway with the family to visit the park. Every thing was reasonably good, especially for the price, but our room smelled so bad. We had to go buy a room defuser from Target to make it tolerable. We had joining rooms so we didn't want to move rooms. Nothing in the room dried, swim suits, towels... so maybe that was the reason for the smell in the room. It was a damp room with no windows.

The proximity to cedar point is our overall decision making choice. Our room clearly had newer coatings, but they could use some repairs where they chose to paint over problems. It's definitely a big step down from breakers.

Staff at the front desk are horrible. They know nothing. Never have an answer to your question. They look at you like your a ghost. We left two things on our room. They called to tell us this, we were at Cedar Point. We left CP to retrieve them right away. We arrived at Breakers Express. Guess what after 2 hours looking for them no one could find the items that BE called us about. Room was dirty. There is no way that it had been cleaned.

We stayed here while in town to visit Cedar Point Amusement Park. After a full day at the park we get back to the hotel and our electronic keys don’t work. We go to the front desk and get them reset. We go back to our room and the keys still don’t work. They say the battery is probably dead they need to call maintenance. About 40 minutes later they find maintenance but they can’t find the laptop to get into our room. They have to call the maintenance guy from another hotel to bring their laptop. The maintenance guy arrived in about 30 minutes which is the time they quoted. He was very nice and let us right in and fixed our door. It took over 2 hours and it was around midnight before we were able to get into our room. That is when I noticed house keeping had not been in our room. They must have found a problem with the door and never notified anyone. That was really disappointing. The next day they left towels and emptied our trash but never made our beds during our stay. We never received any follow up from the front desk or management.

I paid for this through Expedia booking. Then the hotel charged me again at checkout on the credit card they required to be placed on file. I called, they immediately reversed it saying “that happens sometimes.” Well 1 month later- they charged my card again!!!! What a scammmmm!!!!

The property is like a Holiday Inn with more kiddie options during the warm months. The hotel does not have food or a bar and it is not within walking distance of a restaurant other than McDonalds and Dairy Queen. It's about a 5-mile drive to the nearest sit-down restaurants. There is no lobby with seating, coffee or water. You can buy over-priced coffee and water at a hotel gift shop that only takes cards, no cash. The staff was friendly at the front desk, and the maid service was outstanding.

Stayed at Cedar Point Express for a Family Halloweekend getaway. The Area is beautiful, a 6 minute drive to Cedar Point Amusement Park. Room was spotless, bed was amazingly comfortable and quiet. We will definitely stay here in the future.

I feel they should provide a designated smoking area near the courtyard. I did not like the fact they are cashless and you have to use a debit card to buy a $3.00 coffee. I also think coffee should be offered for free to guest. This hotel does not offer a compliantly breakfast. Only stayed because of location and did not want to drive all over Sandusky.
