Great location by Grove street PATH station and Jersey city pedestrian mall. Hotel was clean, well-maintained and always had lots going on in the extensive lobby/ common area. This hotel is our new favorite Jersey City hotel.

Excellent location. Parking across the street. One block from the PATH (subway). 20 minute trip put us into downtown. No train changes. Looking forward to staying here again. Oh fantastic happy hour.

Canopy by Hilton is a great place to stay close to NJ Exchange Place if you plan to visit NYC using the public transport system. Although they don't have parking space, you can park your car right across the street at the Morgan at Provost Square. The price is about $30 per night. Also, you need to walk about 12 mins to reach the Path station. The room price was reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. The rooms were great coupled with modern amenities. The service was also great. We had an issue with the heating system, they sent a space heater right away. Although they do not have any studio style room where you may have your kitchen with a microwave. In fact, they don't provide any microwave at all. So, if you just plan to eat outside, this is the place you are looking for.

Hotel was excellent inside, yet parking was across the street, though the hotel did not work the parking deck and while I prepaid the parking deck they still charged me a second time to exit the deck, attendant straight up ignored me through the glass as I tried to show my receipt, 5 cars stacked up behind me honking waiting to get out.

I paid a lot for 3 nights of public parking it was good that was right beside hotel. It was not clear in the advertisement if the hotel has parking or not. Other than that the hotel was amazing!

When I think of the word, “Hilton” I think of cleanliness. For the most part you pay for what you get with a hotel brand in my opinion. However this stay was not what I expected. The property itself is well kept. The room/staff is a different story. We could not get a cleaning crew to remove trash, bring toilet paper or towels. On one occasion a staff member raised his tone at my wife, when we matched his tone he realized we were being pleasant at the beginning of our conversation and toned himself down. The cleaning crew did show up on Wednesday, except they did not refill the toilet paper or Kleenex. My favorite part is that I went out and bought small garbage bags to empty our drink bottles/dinner containers and placed the trash outside of our room… the bathroom counter, nightstand and light fixtures are all covered in dust. So this leads me to believe that others have stayed in this room and the common areas were not wiped down. Went out and bought my own bedsheet to sleep on, as seeing the room is not clean.. the sheets are not clean as well. Top worst hotel stay with my family. Too bad I cannot attach photos to this review.

The Canopy is a nice hotel with plenty of food and shopping nearby. The room me and my partner stayed in had a very nice modern touch, but was lacking in certain areas. Some strands of hair in our bed sheets and in the shower, also a questionable red stain on the shower floor. I always do a clean of a room regardless, but seeing the state of how the room was in, made it seem like there wasn’t a thorough cleaning before we arrived. Still a nice property and very excellent for the price.

We chose this location due to its accessibility to PATH. Grove street station is steps away, and only 2 stops from World Trade Center, making access to anywhere you are going very easy. The rooms were very comfortable, making coming in from the weather even nicer. Our room was cleaned well everyday, making the stay more pleasant. Some other hotels in the area are only cleaning rooms every 3 days. The only things that were inconvenient was the lack of microwave, the tv streaming was limited. We brought our chromcast to be safe, and could never get it to allow us to switch inputs to watch anything off of it. So in room entertainment was very, very limited. This was not a huge inconvenience though, and we just dealt with it. When visiting friends we will be staying here again.

The staff was courteous and welcoming. Even though I arrived late after check-in, I had no issues. They even offered to help me find a meal late at night, which I really appreciated. The accommodations were not only aesthetically pleasing but also very comfortable—the bed especially made for a restful night. I only wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the amenities. I’m already looking forward to a future stay!

The Good -Beautifully designed and decorated spaces. -Friendly and youthful front of house staff -Comfortable large rooms, good beds The Not So Good -The shower was difficult to control the temperature, either boiling hot or freezing cold. -The television must be strictly streaming, the live stations were constantly lagging, freezing and out of sync. -The breakfast is terribly overpriced and lacked quality.

Initially, I was going to give them no stars because of a miscommunication with the booking third party and the hotel, which resulted in a cancellation of our booking of which we did not become aware until we arrived at the property. But, once the Night Manager Isis became aware of the issue, she immediately intervened and went above and beyond to ensure that we were taken care of! We were so delighted with everyone’s customer service from that point on. The amenities of the hotel were immaculate, the food at the cafe was delicious, and the room itself was perfect for our little family. Amazing location, very walkable and the Grove St. PATH was right outside of our door, which made life so much easier for our commute into NYC each day. We have already decided the next time we do a NJ/NYC trip (which we do often since I am a NJ native) we will happily stay here again!

We stayed here during the global IT outage and room keys weren’t working. Not their fault and their staff was great in his high stress time of having to escort every guest to their room every time. Kudos to the staff.

I cannot say enough about the amazing staff here! The hotel is great, but the staff is really what made the difference! The 3 night front desk people were incredibly kind and friendly when I had rough travel day when I was very late checking in! I wish I remembered their names, but it was 2 gentlemen and a lady they made my night! The day staff was also super helpful! BOOK HERE!!

We had a great stay at the hotel. Very contemporary, clean, great location with lots of good restaurants nearby and great connectivity to New York with just 3-4 minutes walk to PATH station that connects to MTA. Will definitely consider staying again.
