Stayed 2 nights

This would be my fourth time I’ve stayed here. I do have to say they have made some improvements: laminate floors versus the carpeting is a big improvement. I noticed there were black spots on the floor. At first I thought it was because a pet was previously in the room and brought poop in on its paws. Yuk! I was later told that it was tar. This should have been cleaned up. Cleaning staff could’ve done a better job, the bed was made up poorly. This is not a 5 star hotel, but the beds could have been made up a little neater. The caulking around the tub and the toilet was very messy, not a very neat job. I realize it is an older building, but a little paint over worned areas and a little tender, loving care could make this a very economical place to stay. It’s the little things like this that makes a room look like at least say a 4 star, even if it will never make a 5 star hotel. The elevator really needs to be renovated: dirty, nasty, worn wood floor, lighting bad, dark, creepy!!! I’d hate to get trapped in that elevator without any lights on😳. Breakfast was OK. There were a few pieces of paper on the floor as I got off the elevator first day and they were still there when I checked out 2 days later. I’m sure the cleaning people this if I saw it. Overall, I guess the most important thing is the room and the room was much better than my prior three stays. Mountain View was nice. I would have liked a deeper sunk in under the counter face bowl.

Stayed 5 nights

The power had gone out immediately upon checking in, but that was due to the massive storm we had, so while it was out for almost 24hrs, I can't fault the Inn for that. Housekeeping could've been more consistent, as we only had service once during our entire stay, and that was because we flagged down someone from housekeeping while they were servicing another room. The rooms could use some TLC with chips on the wall and sheets having stains, but it was still comfortable enough considering it was a holiday weekend.

Nice room, but no access to local sports on TV, ie Pirate games. Breakfast not so good, no fruit options, cold eggs, potato and see through bacon. Skipped breakfast after day 1. Otherwise was an ok stay.
