Best Western Alexandria Inn

Staff was very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was good also.

This is actually the first bad review I’ve ever written, but I felt like I needed to share my experience. I specifically chose this hotel because of the high ratings, so I was very surprised and disappointed by what we experienced.From the moment we arrived, things were already off. The entrance doors that were supposed to be automatic weren’t working, and when we walked in, there was no one at the front desk. After waiting, I ended up walking toward the laundry area to find an employee and ask if someone could help us. To my surprise, the same employee doing the hotel laundry was also responsible for working the front desk. I honestly felt bad for her because it seemed like she was expected to handle multiple jobs at once.I do want to make it clear that the front desk employee was extremely nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the condition of the hotel was a completely different story.When we got to our room, it smelled old and musty, almost like mold. There were also several spots on the walls that looked like holes had been punched in them and patched over but never repainted. The overall condition of the room made us uncomfortable enough that we decided not to stay.Thankfully, the front desk employee was very understanding and gave us a full refund without any issues. We ended up going to the Fairfield next door instead.I’m disappointed because I chose this hotel based on the positive reviews and expected a completely different experience

A stop over hotel on a longer trip. We had two rooms and wished there was a suite in this hotel. No such offer was available. Room size was ok and seemed adequate.

Room was clean and comfortable but could use a little updating. Breakfast had a variety of options. Pool and hot tub were down for repairs which was a disappointment.

Everything was in good shape except the tub/shower It was super slippery and ceiling could have used a little repair as the paint was peeling All the rest seemed to be very well taken care of !
