The only negatives were we had to pay $40 to park for a day at the hotel next door and the pool was green. But hotel staff was great!

Bad clearing service. Broken elevator. Bad breakfasts. Very old interior and gym.

There is no parking at all.

They provide beach chairs and umbrellas at 930am. Pool was unavailable for half of my 2 weeks stay. Some workers speak only Spanish. The hotel price is half the market rate, because they have no hotel parking. If you are bring your car, hotel policy is you are on your own!

There is easy access to the beautiful Beach. The building is still beautiful. The AC is probably not working in all areas due to the high heat. Complimentary breakfast including 🍞, cheese, cereals, milk, apple, banana, and coffee.

Overall it's good stay for the price. Breakfast should have more options, you don't have much to choose from. There were a few sharpspots in the pool where both me and my girlfriend cut our toes a little bit. The 2 of the housekeepers laughed at my girlfriend because she got sunburned. Our towels weren't swapped out while we were gone despite us leaving the "room cleaning" card on the handle.

The hotel has a great location, with many restaurants, a grocery store, a pharmacy, bank and a laundromat all nearby. Transportation is convenient thanks to the free Miami Beach city shuttle services (not operated by the hotel). For shopping, the Collins Ave Express Shuttle right outside is the best option. Avoid the Miami Double Decker bus, even though it offers free pick-up and drop-off at the hotel, as it runs infrequently. The BIG Bus is a better choice because it operates much more frequently. Unfortunately, the hotel’s laundry facility does not work. Guests must rely on the laundromat at 73rd Street along Collins Ave. It requires a $5 card to use, but the service is fine overall. The hotel provides a complimentary breakfast, though it’s very basic. On the positive side, there are family-friendly amenities such as a well-maintained pool with clean towels, ping pong, chess board and even a piano — perfect activities when the weather isn’t good. Food options at the hotel are decent, and the hotel also provides beach chairs and umbrellas, which is a nice perk for guests heading to the beach. The biggest issue is poor service response. The front desk often tells guests to “wait 5 or 10 minutes” for maintenance, but in reality, no one shows up — or the request is completely forgotten. This creates the impression that the hotel is understaffed and struggles to keep up with guest needs. I asked atleast three times for different services, but none of them were fulfilled.

There was no mention that the pool was out of service and literally closed off because it is falling apart. Which is one of the MAJOR reasons I booked this hotel. #2 the bath tub had what seemed to be paint peeling off the bottom of the tub was NOT AT ALL as pictured in any of the photos. It was a small shallow tub with two wide side panels that you had to take a step over to get to the tub. I wanted to take a nice bubble bath and relax. That could not have happened with the way tub is. AND there was pervious guest hair in the tub. 3. I had a do not disturb sign on my door as well as the top lock latch on the door. She (the room service maid) proceeded to knock several times as I said no thank you no service needed. She then proceeded to use a key card to enter and attempted to open the door. I was layin in bed naked and jumped back up to yell no thank you.

I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. My recent experience was appalling. The pool area was hazardous, with loose tiles and exposed wiring near the pool's edge. My child sustained deep cuts on her feet due to uneaten surface and broken tile at the bottom of the pool. Furthermore, other guests were openly engaging in sexual activity in and around the pool area, creating an extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate environment for families. Within hours of using the pool, I experienced severe abdominal pain and need to seek medical attention. While I cannot definitively link this to the pool, the timing is concerning. The hotel's "free breakfast" was misleading, consisting only of toast, cheese, oat milk, cereal, coffee/tea/orange juice, bananas, and oranges. All other food items required purchase. To make matters worse, the hotel added unauthorized charges to my card after they attempted to rectify a room assignment error. They claimed these charges were justified despite their initial mistake. This hotel is unsafe, misrepresents its amenities, and engages in questionable billing practices. I will not be returning.

Very old hotel in need of updating. The pool was closed which was not disclosed on Hotels.com or the hotel's website. No parking onsite which added another $40+ for the nearest parking lot almost 2 blocks away.

The beach is beautiful, and there's a nice walking street with places like Ramen and the Cuba restaurant — both are really good. We stayed at this hotel for seven days. The breakfast was exactly the same every day, the pool was closed for at least five of those days, and housekeeping didn’t clean the room even when we asked.

When i got there they didn’t have the room i payed for. The room was hot there was no AC. They switched us to another room and the patio door was broken.There was a cockroach in the fridge.The toilet paper was on the floor because the holder was broken. The front desk worker gave me a lot of attitude.

No Ac. Room temperature was 82. Ceiling ac vent leaking. Two fans running due to the fact the ac was not working and yet then went ahead and proceeded to try and rent it out. Don’t be fooled by the tik toks or the pics.

I was given a room were most the rooms on that floor were treated from mold unfortunately I want it to stay more I try to calll management couldn't reach it I was told that she was in huge meeting and can't talk to her that day I was gonna give it a chance if they changed the room for me but had to go to different hotel

The staff was friendly, but overall the stay was disappointing. The room was not very clean, and the overall feel of the hotel was outdated. The TV wasn’t even a smart TV, which made relaxing in the room a bit frustrating. It definitely needs some upgrades and better upkeep. Wouldn’t stay again unless improvements are made.

Didn’t clean my room and I was there for 5 days. No clean towels, I was asking for days for new towels. Food was nasty

Only thing unique about our stay was the fact that the ocean was so close,the property seemed old and in need of restoration badly the breakfast was totally unfair and not worth the time the room smelled of mildew and had dust particles on the furniture along with old an old dirty chair the tv did not work the 1st two nights I’m extremely disappointed in my stay

I found hair on the bed and towel. The tv did have remote ( I asked for one remote, however they didn’t bring me one, I asked that twice, first time they took too long to come to bring the remote and I couldn’t wait until they finished to do what they needed to do. The Wi Fi didn’t work in my room, I asked also twice to fix it but nothing was fixed.

When you walk in, it's obvious the building is in need of an update. The furniture is older and needs to be replaced. The kitchen and dining area needs to be shut down for a few weeks and completely refurbed. However, the room we had was pretty nice with a king sized bed and a large balcony facing the ocean. What a great way to start the day watching the sunrise over the ocean! Nice walk in shower with plenty of hot water. The thermostat didnt work so I wasn't sure if the A/C was working. Also a large screen TV with plenty to choose from. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall I would recommend but get an ocean view if you can. It looks like the management team is working hard to improve the property.

We had a rest with my teenage daughter. We liked everything very much. Clean, everything in the room is new, a great huge swimming pool, sun loungers with umbrellas and towels on the beach. The staff is very polite. On a rainy day, my daughter and I had a great time in the lobby, where there is billiards, mini ping-pong, huge chess and table football. I booked this hotel at the last minute before leaving, so I didn't read any reviews. But honestly speaking, for this money, the hotel exceeded all my expectations. The only downside, but this is for me personally, is the breakfast. Everything else is just great. Despite the fact that the hotel is old, we had a great time! We will most likely visit it again.

On 6/29 we arrived at 2:06 a.m. we were assigned room 638 which was 2 queen beds with a balcony. 2 adults and 2 children. When we got to the room there was a fan already in the room on the floor. It was warm in the room at 77 degrees the thermostat was set on 50 degrees, at this time we were tired from traveling and went to bed. Woke up on 6/29 with the room being 80 degrees, I went and request maintenance which didn't come to the room until 5 hours later where we were then told that the AC didn't work but was also not given a solution. The following day I went to the lobby requesting a new room which I was then told there was not a room with a balcony to accommodate me and my family. I paid for a balcony room for the luxury of the vacation that is what I expected. At this time, I then asked for another fan to be brought up to the room with no fan brought up until a second request (4 hours later).I spoke to 2 employees who cleaned during our stay, and they also knew and acknowledged our room was hot with no AC. I went down day 4 of our stay requested another room where it was still unable to be accommodated with a balcony. The night before the end of our stay was 83 degrees in the room, I told the lady when we checked out that the room was so hot and still no AC, she said to contact Expedia we did they offer 200 dollars in KeyCash, absolutely wild one week for family vacation out of the year and hard earned money for this result!

Could’ve said what breakfast you get in specific. Not many options. Walls are super thin. The people next to us got to their room around midnight. Argued the whole entire night. They were loud af. The girl banged on the wall and the door. There was a door that connected to the next room. She kept opening it and tried to get into our room. I wasn’t ok with that while vacationing with family. She was also yelling about bed bugs. Our flight was the next morning. That was not a good way to end vacation.

The room was good except for the bathroom. The door into the bathroom would not open all the way, you would hit the toilet. The bathroom itself was very small but the shower was big. The Continental breakfast was very basic and we were not able to access the pool for 2 out of the 4 days that we were there. The beach was nice with chairs and umbrellas but the seaweed was high at this time. Also, if you want room service daily request it daily and sometimes you might get it done. The front desk staff were all great.

Would not recommend to stay here. AC was not working in my room for 2 nights. After 2 nights of complaining we got switched. Bathrooms are extremely small.

Although I enjoyed my stay here I do have a complaint. My room was not ready when I arrived. They have a 4pm check-in policy yet I didn't get my room til after 6:30 pm. They claim the room was being cleaned. I traveled from Georgia and my flight was delayed so I really needed my room to be ready. I was told it would be a few minutes which was not accurate. I waited for more than 2.5 hours. I was offered no consideration for my inconvenience. A meal or drink voucher would have been nice and I may have overlooked the inconvenience if it was at least offered. Rooms not being ready seemed to happened to alot of people. This was very frustrating. The front desk is under staffed. The check in process should be smooth and seamless. Jay (a front desk worker) was really nice and helpful and super apologetic unlike the other staff member who seemed annoyed that I kept asking if room was ready. When you travel somewhere and your room is not ready, its the most upsetting thing especially after a flight delay. This establishment needs to do better in that area. At the very least offer complimentary drinks or water while people pile up in the lobby waiting for their rooms. The lobby and elevator was very hot by the way. So not sure what was going on there. The air in my room was fine although i did over hear some people complain about the A/C in their room. Overall, I had a good short stay of 4 days. Get the Oceanfront view with balcony. This place is right on the beach.

A/c didn’t work on our last night, called 3 times no one came, checking in was a nightmare, staff was not professional with each other

Madeline at the front desk is phenomenal, she made check in so easy and went above and beyond for us! The housekeeping team is also amazing and always had the room nice for us when we returned. We wished there were a few more options at breakfast or that the breakfast options changed on a rotation. The beds were very comfy and the sheets were clean.

It's a old property but very clean and the staffs vey friendly . I loved that they let you use the pool and the beach even though it was not check in timw. However, I did not like staying 55mn lined up to check-in specially with kids.

The younger girl that was working the desk pretty much 24/7 since we got there on the 7th of August was great! She had the middle part with the black hair slicked back-I didn’t catch her name! She switched us rooms although she was very busy constantly at the desk all days we were there. She checked to make sure we were good after too and always gave us a smile and help if we needed. She is great for your customers and your hotel!! Everything was great, our first time in Miami and we’ll definitely be back!!

Only 1 person at the counter to check in and took over 1/2 hour to check in.

The hotel is beautiful and clean…staff was lovely!! The pool was clean we also had access to the beach! The only thing there’s no parking lot so you do have to mindful of where you park. We got our rental towed and paid $420 to get it out! But besides that, the hotel and staff was great!

Good location. Beach is a doorway away. Shopping and food is walking distance. Very safe area at anytime.

My family and I enjoyed our stay very much! I did not have high expectations going into it, but overall it was a beautiful location and a comfortable stay.

It was my first experience staying at Sherry Frontenac Hotel. It's an older hotel located on 65th Street or North Beach. The hotel has regular rooms, ocean view rooms & balcony rooms with ocean view, which overlooks a nice large pool with lounge chairs & umbrellas around the pool. The backside of the pool is next to the boardwalk, which is 5 yards from the beac. The pool is lit up at night with a bright blue color. They have 2 pool tables, a ping pong table & jumbo chess set in the lobby. It has an on-site bar with nice & friendly staff. There's a dining room for complimentary breakfast, coffee, or tea that also has a microwave oven. There's a grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants & bars within very close walking distance. The rooms are basic with nice cable on a 35-inch tv, internet, refrigerator, small sink above the refrigerator, iron with ironing board, bathroom & shower. There are newer hotels, but I found this hotel & location very appealing. I would definitely stay at the Sherry Frontenac Hotel again.

Staff was very helpful. I enjoyed that this property was directly on the beach. Walkable area with bars and restaurants. Quality of the room is what you pay for. Low priced rooms so it’s not the fanciest of hotels, but the room was very clean and spacious and I liked the bathroom. Bed & pillows were comfy.

I paid 150$ for 3 day parking nearby because this hotel doesn't have parking spaces.

Location was great. Building is old, but clean. Beach area was very nice.

Everything was good except for the breakfast. You need to pay extra for eggs & bacon.

Breakfast was included but food options are terrible! Bedding is so cheap! Even Motel 6 has better blankets and towels now.

The pool was closed to two days of our stay without warning and still was nasty. I chose this hotel mainly because of the pool. Checkin was horrible. Restaurants was never open when supposed to be. Would not recommend.

The breakfast option that is included was not good. First off it was bread, orange cheese, and hard salami slices. Orange juice was offered and water as well as cereal and milk in a carton. Hot breakfast was only offered for a fee.

Overall for a quick and cheap getaway it was good. I spent a weekend and it was fun having the pool and the beach right outside. The building is in deperate need of an upgrade it felt old. The breakfast is not included the only thing is included is bread and milk. If you want protein, eggs, bacon, pancake or anything else you have to pay. The restaurant inside the hotel was great the food was made on the spot and the burgers were huge. Be mindful there is no parking on the property and the cheapest and closest parking cost around 40 for the day. There is a Walgreens on the corner which was very convenient. If you are looking for something cheap and friendly this is for you. The staff was amazing.

Overall experience was a 7/10. Front desk staff and cleaning was extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was probably the worst I’ve ever witnessed at a hotel.

The hotel, other than the rooms has no A/C, it is impossible having breakfast or dinner and not to sweat . The building is old and dated really bad. The beach towels are so old faded and thin. Breakfast is a joke, there's not even enough tables for everybody to sit. The building has no parking, so you have to park on the street and pay. The hallways smell really bad like dirty rug and smells like weed often. The only positive thing about this place is that is on the beach, period. Also the swimming pool was murky the whole week I was there, nobody bother to clean it.

The rooms are nice and the hotel provides beach loungers, umbrellas and beach towels but they give you a towel card you have to leave at the front desk and they will only give you one at a time. Housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired, we had to ask the front desk several times to get someone to clean our room and in the two weeks we were there we only got sheets changed once after asking about 5 times in a day. The restaurant was only open when they felt like it even though they had hours posted and the bar was even more inconsistent
