Residence Inn Mt. Laurel at Bishop's Gate

The Good: - The staff was great. Friendly, always greeted me. I appreciated that. - The breakfast was plentiful and good!! - The room was comfortable and spacious. - The location and convenience to I-295 and Rt 38 was great. The Not so Good - The refrigerator ice-maker didn't work and there isn't an ice machine on the premises that I could find. I had to go ask for some. The front desk attendant went and got me some. But, they said the ice-maker should be working. Nobody ever came to check it out. - There were no cups for water in the exercise room - The elliptical in the exercise room was broken the first night. It disappeared sometime on the second day of my stay after I asked about it. I used the treadmill the 4 nights I was in the gym2 - The TV channel selection was pretty limited. I would have liked to have more sports channel selections. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The issues were minor. I'd stay there again.

I enjoyed relaxing in the courtyard with the firepit burning. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortably and enjoyable.

Nice pool, family friendly

I have to say the staff at this facility is top notch. My grandchildren were swimming and their floaties needed to be inflated and while we couldn’t get it done the staff went above and beyond to try and help me. I WILL BE staying here again no doubt

Worst hotel I've been to in 50+ yrs. -3 registered guests but provided only 2 towels. Requested extra towels and didn't receive them for 2 days when I asked a 2nd & 3rd time -No pillow for sofabed -Bed linens so worn that when you roll over, your face is in the raw mattress. Complained, bed remade, same issue with the worn out sheets -Not cleaned. Found socks that didn't belong to us under bedspread -Cheap closet doors always off track -Multiple missing hardware from dresser -Cracked shower tiles, hot water takes 5 minutes to come in and only lasts 5 minutes -Shower gel container on shower wall empty the entire 7 nights -ihome clock next to bed showing incorrect time, Controls to adjust time under lockdown so alarm useless -No TP on day 2. Had to request -Logged into bonvoy account for wifi. Unknowingly they charged $100 over stay for data charges. Had they told me there was a cost, I would have continued on my cell service, which most times was better than there crappy internet! -No trash emptied after 5 days until I called -Bedroom TV did not work -Bags of trash lined the hallways for hours. The smell was awful. -Pool out of order-wouldn't use anyway with filth there The hotel staff is understaffed and do the best they can with what corporate gives them. This is BY FAR the worst hotel. We come up often to visit grandkids but I obviously will never stay here again. I can't believe I had to pay $1500 for this shabby place. DO NOT stay here! I wish it let me upload photos

Pros: rooms are very spacious with great amenities. Kitchenette was well stocked and clean. I traveled with 3 children under 10 and the staff and atmosphere was very welcoming. Cons: Breakfast options limited and not adequately stocked. Tub was broken making it difficult to bathe children. Fire-pit was broken And towels weren’t replenished- no housekeeping.

This stay was by far my worst hotel stay. The male front desk staff was rude and cold. The female staff was friendlier. The closing of the pool with no notice (the entire reason we chose this hotel) and no compensation provided or offered was unacceptable. When making the reservation I noted I was traveling with a special needs child and service dog and I was placed on the 3rd floor. When my child had an episode in the room I got a complaint call and when I explained the situation I was informed my the same male at the front desk to “handle it”. We subsequently left the room and as we had no pool to redirect him to it was difficult to manage. The room was satisfactory and the grounds were fine (even though they were littered with trash and broken glass) which made it difficult to walk the service dog. It was the lack of communication, rudeness of the staff and poor amenities that have turned me off from ever recommending this hotel to stay.

I was disappointed that my room was not cleaned during my stay. Also, I know that this is a pet-friendly hotel, which is great, but guests need to be reminded to pick up after their dogs. Just a suggestion - add more benches to sit on around the front area of the property.

Overall, I had a good experience. I’ve stayed at a Residence Inn before but this was my first time at the Bishop’s Gate location. The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. The breakfast was good with great options. My room was clean. The pool seemed like it needed to be cleaned and/or treated but other than that, no complaints about this hotel.

Hotel having a lot of work done.

The overall experience was good, breakfast ok...but went to the office every day to confirm for a room clean and everyday they said yes but no came to clean or straighten up the bed...very disappointed in the night shift, she said give her a few to figure out how to get us sheets for the bed and a week later and now have checked out, still no help ..one of the day shift office personnel gave me everything I needed in a garage bag, I told her I can make my own bed...it was the principal of the matter....not sure I will be bringing my family back to this hotel and I pray and hope you all treat the next guest better than we received..

Carpet and couch was a bit dirty. The bed was very comfortable. It took a long time for the water to get hot. The internet went out for a few hours my last night there. Everything else was really beautiful. The staff was very nice, even the overwhelmed late night lady who didnt see me standing there and couldn't help me anyway. The first young man & the the young lady who checked me out were super helpful and kind. The food was ok. Basic and dry, lots of options though. The location is perfect! Id choose it every time

-Called ahead to ask feather pillows be removed, was told they made a note. Double-checked at front desk, was reassured there was a note on the room. The note was ignored. -Wifi reception was 0-2 bars at any given time. Complained several times, received various answers--go to this URL, enter your room number, we'll reset the router, would you like the wifi repairman's number?--eventually a housekeeper informed us there was simply something wrong with the antenna for the router on our side of the hotel. -Housekeeping came day after we arrived, next day we hung DND sign (for one day). Housekeeping did not come any day after that. Front desk said it had to be requested, in spite of presence of DND signs. Last day before we left, one housekeeper informed us that she just sees to all the rooms when she's working, and would make sure we were served that day at least. We were not. -They had to take down my credit card info on paper due to crowdstrike issue--and then they didn't use it, charged my debit card on file instead, leading to overage charges (bank reversed them). -Television wouldn't turn on.

Clean room.

Our room was not cleaned properly before we checked in. The sheets were dirty, there was a penny in the middle of the bed, black specs all over and dog hair visible when we pulled the covers back. The front desk associate acted as if we were bothering him and did the very minimum. He wouldn’t come verify what we were seeing and he sent another person up with sheets and told us we needed to change our own sheets. The second day I asked for his assistance starting the grill and he again acted very bothered, while talking down to me. I’ve never dealt with a customer service rep that seem like he could care less about the customer. The morning shift and the assistant general manager was excellent.

The room smelled like curry and the hallways smelled like “smoke”. A truly stinky facility js hard for any hotel to overcome — in this case sub par beds and sub par overall conditions added insult to stinkury.

Staff was fantastic and very accommodating. I was a little surprised about the pet friendly hotel. I do suggest giving owners and pets their own floors to use. The barking was horrible but it wake my kids up a few times. I tried to change rooms but the other room had a terrible smell. I decided it was best to stick with the maybe barking night. Rooms were little rundown and needs some upgrades especially at $200+ per night. Overall was a pleasant experience-the staff definitely made the experience better.

The staff was very friendly and breakfast was good. The bed was old and we were sinking in the middle. The faucet in the bathroom was not working properly and was difficult to move. The air conditioning was operating, but it was blowing on the bed and uncomfortable. I would stay here again, but only as a last resort.

I stayed at the property years ago and loved the homey feel but it has become very inconvenient to stay here. There was no hot water to take a shower so my guest and I had to boil water to take showers. We had scheduled a late check out but because someone did not update it in the system, my guest and I were interrupted many time while we tried to sleep in. There was no blow dryer. We were placed in a room across from many little kids and the “sound proof walls” did nothing. The wifi did not work so we used our personal hot spots to get internet service. The staff was kind but amenities were very disappointing. Clean room though

The room was large the bed was comfortable but there was some type of banging over head every night. I was situated nest the elevator. Otherwise a very good place to stay and would stay there again

Beautiful all around. The staff was not friendly at all. Most of the staff seemed annoyed whenever approached about anything.

I liked the quiet peaceful atmosphere and friendly staff

The front desk staff was nice however, there was random knocking on my door, several times over the course of my stay and it seems security was lacking. I was disturbed out of my sleep several times by this. Only reason I stayed was due to a close family member being sick and this was near her house. Other than that, location was overbooked with children and no parents watching them. I hope if I have to return to this location the security and front desk staff will have better control of the location.

Property is very secluded yet close to main roads. The seclusion makes the property a quiet and pleasant stay.

Property is clean and well maintained. We loved that we were able to bring our dogs with us! The continental breakfast was pretty disappointing as most of it was not edible. Staff was friendly. Overall great stay

The room was excellent, we had no problems there. The breakfast was a disaster. There was almost no food, they looked like they ran out of food and couldn't find any in the back. I rated it 3 stars because the room was great overall, but reduced it because we specifically picked a hotel with breakfast and there was almost none to be had.

The breakfast options were ridiculously limited but they do have a make your own waffle station. Very clean and kitchen does have basic essentials like utensils and dishes.
