At Comfort Suites Gulfport Central, travelers often praise the friendly staff, spacious clean rooms, and a satisfying hot breakfast, while recurring drawbacks include strong cleaning odors, inconsistent indoor pool upkeep, occasional AC or maintenance issues, and surprise deposits.

Location is convenient to I-10, the airport, and shopping, though several reviews note road construction challenges and occasional concerns about loitering or vehicle break-ins. We enjoyed the hospitality of the employees. Breakfast was very busy but the workers kept the food coming with a good attitude. Our room was nice and comfortable. Our only disappointment was that the pool was very cold...too cold to use. We had booked this particular hotel for the indoor, heated pool, as this was a making memories trip for our 8 year old grandson.

Check in was easy and our room clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was the pool. It was indoors but very small. The water had a green tinge and was cloudy. The lady at the front desk said it was because it was a salt water pool. That made no sense and we did not venture into the pool. Overall a comfortable place to stay.

The staff was amazing, friendly and very nice. The pool was disappointing. The water was greenish and had a loud odor and no one was at the pool the entire 2 days of our stay. I would say it was overall good and clean at a fair price. If you're not looking to dip in the pool then this is the place for you. The breakfast was definitely a plus.

This location has bed bugs.. I have photos to prove it. I wasn’t going to post the review but no one from this location hasn’t even attempted to call and apologize to my family and I. We were placed in another room but we were still uncomfortable. Due to it being spring break and everything was booked or too expensive to move my family at that exact moment, plus it was 3am when we noticed the bed bugs, we stayed the last booked day but we immediately checked into an airbnb 30 miles away from our previously planned attractions. My spring break was extremely itchy. Never again.

The property was clean and safe. The lobby was spotless. When we opened the door to our room the smell of bleach almost knocked us down. It was very strong. Thankfully we brought a box fan with us and kept our room door open and shard the bleach smell with anyone who walked in the hall. The carpet in the room was damp and if we walked around in socks they were damp. The air conditioner was top notch. The damp carpet was brought to the attention of the front desk during checkout.

Front desk assistant was pleasant, breakfast was nice, good water pressure in shower (and very hot - excellent), and room was spacious and clean. Hotel is located near restaurants and stores. Not sure if collection of store shopping carts in rear parking lot was on this property; or the adjacent hotel property — but it made this property initially look shady to me.

I liked the stay a lot, but had a very noisy and inconsiderate occupant above us ugh! I dont know if it was kids or adults, but they should choose the 1st floor wherever they go. I liked the stay a lot, but due to the noise level I heard above me I wouldn't book there again. Great staff and treatment, but I've never heard noise that loud above me in all my years of booking rooms.

I was suprised by how roomy our room was. It was wonderful to give everyone their own space and designated bed! I loved how clean the bathroom was, I’ve have some experiences where you could tell the shower curtains were not maintained, but these were spotless. The front desk staff was amazing at every entering and exiting. They made check in and out seamless. The breakfast was a reason I’d return even if I have no other reason to come back to Gulfport. Those ladies were amazing at making sure there was plenty of food for everyone.

The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, the breakfast was great, and the beds were comfortable, except for the sofa sleeper. Please replace the mattress on that. I have never slept so uncomfortably and I’m an avid camper who is used to sleeping on the ground. This mattress was hurting our backs so bad. We have a return stay and I’m feeling like we may have to get an air mattress to make it work because no one in our party is willing to sleep on the sofa sleeper. Other than that mattress, the rest of the stay was great and I would recommend, but I do not recommend a room that requires sleeping on a sofa sleeper.

Cordial and witty. The front desk clerk gave me a smile after an 11 hour wait for a flight that was then cancelled. The rooms are spotless, all "suites" with couch and comfortable bed with huge tv. Bathrooms are larger than normal and the width of the "hall" in the room as well as the bright lighting reinforced the sense of space , security and cleanliness The water with lemon was still cold at 2am. Breakfast was ample and selection/variety to please all. Close to airport, slightly hidden but well worth the price

I arrived at the hotel at 2:58 pm to begin the check-in. The front desk personnel Ty informed me that my room was not ready and there were no king rooms available. I informed her that my room was booked the day before. She replied that the hotel's policy is that check-in a three does not mean you can check in at three. She also proceeded to tell me that i was on a waiting list with other guest. She did not know when my room would be ready. I was told to use the hotel lobby restroom to get ready for my event. The lobby restroom was dirty no paper towels, soap, or tissue. After getting dressed. I went to the desk to ask was the room ready she told me no. I told her when i would be back she told me the room might be ready. I will never return here i had to book another room at another property.

I want to start by saying the hotel is family friendly and overall is a good place to stay for a family vacation. There inside pool and free breakfast is a plus. I want to give them there glows before the grows. Now on to the issues we had. We Waited almost 2 hours for clean towels and an ironing board . Called front desk 2 times, walked down to front desk and offered to bring dirty towel to him so he could exchange them for clean ones. He said he was coming and still took an additional 25 mins to bring towels. Clerk came to check room to make sure there wasn’t an iron board in room. Once he seen there wasn’t an ironing board it still took him 30 mins to bring one. These mistakes cause us to miss our dinner reservation. We were very disappointed. We spoke with the manager who didn’t give us a credit or compensation for our troubles but agreed that the clerk was wrong and would speak to him about the situation. She also said to call her directly for our next stay.

I chose Comfort Suites because I am a person who gravitates towards what I know and I was not disappointed. I had never stayed in Gulfport but Sharon and her staff made me feel like I was at home. The property was central to everything I had planned to do. The Outlet Mall was a block or two over. The smoke free casino Beach View was a straight shot down the road. The Gulfport beach was two turns and your there! Plus you had your neighborhood Walmart a couple of blocks down the road and a variety of restaurants to chose from in the area. The only issue I ran into was the construction at the Main entrance but I didn't hold that against the hotel. It would have been nice to know that somewhere on the website. That way if you are not familiar with the area you can plan accordingly and not panic concerning lane changes, lane closings and dodging orange barrels. Overall I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for "Home away from Home"! Sharon and her staff will provide you with a smooth check in/out, timely help with any issues with your room, knowledge about the area, all with a smile on their faces. I will definitely be back!
