What guests think

Across numerous stays at Best Western Seaway Inn, travellers praise clean, recently updated rooms, friendly staff, and an above‑average free hot breakfast, plus a large pool and hot tub, with a convenient location near I‑10, shopping, and the airport.

Common downsides include aircraft noise due to the nearby airport and small, tight bathrooms in some rooms. Several reviews note inconsistent housekeeping or maintenance (damp floors, lingering smells, hair, occasional pests), and some guests disliked exterior room entrances or late pool noise. A number of guests were surprised by deposits and fees for early check‑in or late check‑out. Overall, expect good value and amenities if you’re comfortable with a motel layout and occasional noise.

Stayed here with my husband and three young children. Friendly staff! Beautiful landscaping and cute decor. Black-out curtains worked perfectly. Loved the pool and jacuzzi. Airplanes flying overhead were a bit disruptive (military base). Rooms seem a bit smaller than pictured. I wish I had booked a suite. They require a $150 deposit (credit card or cash) at check-in, which was a surprise to me. TVs in the breakfast area were annoying, so we asked the staff to mute them which they did happily. Overall, very pleased with my stay. Next time, I will try to utilize the outdoor tables and chairs more.

Great Cooked Breakfast from 6am to 10am, 7 days a week. Great Value, pool area is cleaned everyday, has a large Hot Tub and a kiddies pool too, plenty of parking space, would recommend to everyone looking for a clean cheaper hotel to stay, not far from local attractions and has a Premium Shopping Mall a 10 minute walk away

We made it in town a few hours earlier than check in, which 4pm check in is ridiculously late, anyway I was charged a $25 plus tax fee to check in 2 hours early, only to find out that the pool was closed for cleaning, it never opened on that day, so my early check in to swim was a waste of money, so since the pool was down I requested a later time to check out so I could at least swim the next morning before leaving, they wanted to charge me an additional $25 to stay 1 hour past check out!! After I refused to pay Extra they texted me saying late check out wasn't allowed! The checkout girl with the rhinestone teeth and lashes was so short and rude

We stayed 5 days 4 nights. Loved our room we had the Standard King with a hottub in the room, which was amazing! Outdoor garden was pretty and the pool and hottub was nice too. We didn't like the bed or pillows but that was just our preference, harder type bed and extremely fluffy pillows. Close to the airport so a little noisy when the planes flew over but didn't bother us. Great staff! Would definitely stay again!

Let's start positive. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Security was visible at night. The lady at night was helpful. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The rest depends on what bothers you and what you can deal with. Upon entering the room it had a smell like smoke covered with cleaning, but it was a non-smoking room. The floor by the AC was wet and the units from above us would drip and hit you as you came in and out. The fridge froze the good and drink we put in it. Nothing we were overly bothered by and we would stay again.

I stayed for 4 nights while in town for work. The room was clean, AC worked, shower had a good water pressure, comfortable bed, friendly receptionist, great hot breakfast and friendly staff. However there was some minor wear and tear was noticeable in the room, and while everything was functional, a few small touch-ups would go a long way. I’ll stay here again.

Overall the property was good. The location was great. My room was spacious and that was a huge plus. I would visit again. A couple of things I didn't like. My room was right in front of the pool and the pool traffic was, heavy! Pool traffic lasted till11 pm. The shade that pulls down the window needs to be thicker. With the light on in the room, from the outside you can see in. That freaked me out pretty bad. People lounged at the table right in front of my window all night. It was really hard to sleep and I had to get up and travel the next morning.

When I checked into my room and got all of my luggage and valuables and the rest of my property in my room, I went back to my car to get something and when I came back, I could not get back in my room. The night staff tried to unlock my door, but nothing they did worked. I had to wait until the next morning when maintenance could come fix my door. They put me in another room for the night, but I had absolutely none of my belongings with me. It was horrible. My medicine, my phone charger my clothes, my laptop. Everything was locked up and I couldn’t get to it. I’m thankful that I had my phone in my pocket or that would’ve been locked up too.

Read the review, which seemed like a decent place to stay. After check in, came back to our room to find the guest in the room next to us sitting outside smoking, drinking and listening to music on a boom box. Middle of the night, they decided to open their door and let it creak/slam open and shut for over an hour. Breakfast- we were offered yogurt from a machine that hadn't been cleaned in quite some time and had all the dried up yogurt to show. Upon returning the second night to our NON-SMOKING room, our room and belongings were met with an overwhelming cigarette smell. Paper thin walls and noise made for another unpleasant night of sleep. Did not stay our 3rd night as a friend offered us a room at another hotel. Stayed for a few hours our final night, mostly to get our belongings before heading to the airport. Do not recommend this facility!!!
