The lodge was nice on the inside. Staff was friendly. Adequate towels, etc. Beds were clean and comfortable. However the outside was a disaster. Apparently work is being done on the building. There are connex boxes, equipment, and tools everywhere. You can only park on one side of the building. We were there on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and never saw workers or any work being done. If you can make it through the driveway to the entrance and find a place to park, you will find a nice hotel inside.

Was a clean hotel. Nice location. Parking wasnt so great wasnt alot of room for parking. Room was okay but fan didnt work in bathroom , and outlet had sparks when something was plugged in. Pull out sofa had no bedding and was very uncomfortable matress was awful. Other than that romm was great, pool was nice as well.. Breakfast was good but not alot of choices its like they ran out and didnt want to refill it, we went down to Breakfast around 830. Other than that nice hotel.

Unfortunately, ice machines were not working, The shower at the pool was not working- handle was broke. Snacks were a little pricey, but I guess that is out of convenience. Otherwise, It was a nice stay, staff was always pleasant and helpful with getting a little ice. Morning breakfast was a great start to the day. I would be staying here again when coming to visit my son, in Asheville!

Room was semi clean but there was trash and very dirty at the wall behind door could tell they just clean with door open and they can’t see it there. Pool was not heated and extremely cold.

It was a comfortable hotel room, close to everything we were wanting to see. Breakfast was good. The only complaint is that there is no guest laundry and they directed us to a nearby one where most of the machines weren’t functioning. Otherwise, a good value and pleasant stay.

The first room had a mildew smell so intense that we couldn't stay there. The second room was clean and didn't smell. The mattress should have been swapped out a year ago, as it was collapsing, but the room was clean. Hotel owners should be required to occasionally stay in their hotel rooms or have employees stay in the rooms. If they did this, rooms would never degrade like this.

Staff at front desk made us feel like she was stealing our debit/credit information- had to freeze it and reorder. Dirty sheets! Yuck. Bath tub wouldn’t drain. Floors were sticky. Overall not impressed.

I visited Asheville with my family of five and, unfortunately, we did not enjoy our stay at this hotel. The Jamaican woman at front desk was friendly and welcoming when we first checked in, but after that, we had no further interaction with any hotel staff—not a single greeting or check-in during our stay. The cleanliness of the room was also concerning. There were dried brown stains on the bathroom floor behind the toilet, which made us question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned. Parking was chaotic in the evenings, with no clearly communicated system in place once the lot filled up. The biggest letdown was the breakfast. Aside from the waffles, there was little that was edible, and the coffee was particularly bad. On a positive note, we did feel completely safe throughout our trip, which we appreciated. I would not stay here again.

Room was hot all night. Phone lines not working. There was a terrible smell in the room that wouldn’t go away. Right before we left we found a very dirty pair of women’s underwear in the closet. Just gross!!

This my second stay at the Brookstone lodge in Asheville NC. The good part first: Jamila, the morning front desk manager was extremely friendly and professional. Bad part: I checked in 6/14/2024 and when I got ready to get in the bed I noticed in one of my two queen beds several strands of hair. That concerned me so I checked the second bed and found hair some brown spots on the sheets. I took photos and went to the front desk to ask for housekeeping to change the sheets. They told me housekeeping left at 3pm, but I could take some clean sheets and remake the beds myself. Of course I wasn't sleeping in a dirty bed, so I took the sheets and remade my bed. The next day I told the front desk person about this, she said she would have the staff change out both the beds. Unfortunately, that afternoon when I returned, the bed sheets had still not been changed. It was after 3pm so I knew the cleaning staff was gone. The bed should have been clean in the first place, but it definitely should have been cleaned when I made the request. I should not have had to remake my bed. I was extremely disappointed with this stay, and likely will not stay there again.

The WiFi isn’t good at all and we tried to call and inquire about it and the man at the front desk said “it’s just like that”. The bed has deep indents and isn’t comfortable. Although it seems they have made upgrades, the hotel is definitely dated. The room itself was clean but the ac was definitely regulated by the staff. 70 was stuffy throughout the night, yet cooler at times during the late evening. It was not consistent. The water/shower was nice and hot.

Perfect for visiting Biltmore estate. The room is clean, breakfast is good, 5-10 minutes drive from restaurants, facility is good for the price. My only complaint is bathroom door. It is sliding door, which always stays open unless you lock from inside. As a result it covers the light switches on the wall. We had to search for ways to turn on lights when we entered. The sliding door doesn’t block sounds, so we can hear everything from bathroom.

Beautiful hotel. Everything looks clean and beautiful. The one thing I didn’t like was: I told the front staff that we need to leave very early in the morning and if we could get any bagged breakfast. The person told us “almost no”. He didn’t try or say anything assuring.

Great stay and no problems on-site. However, I chose the reserve now, pay later. I’ve never had to pay prior to getting to the hotel when I did this. However, they started trying to charge my card for the reservation at 2pm when check-in didn’t even start until 4pm. Then called to tell me I needed to pay because they were full and couldn’t guarantee my room. Never had this issue before at any other hotel. Tammy at the front desk was WONDERFUL and got it all squared away before we arrived and didn’t charge a dime until we were checking in!

We had to wait over 20 minutes for someone to come to the desk to check in. Although at a glance the room was tidy, the floors were very tacky. I definitely needed to always have my slippers on. It could be from the cleaning products used, as the room had a strong chemical smell for several hours after checking in. Shower was a nice walk in design, but water pressure was low. Coffee pot in the room did not work & the bed frame was not properly attached to the metal base, so the mattress basically slid around any time we tried to get into bed. My husband did the best he could to stabilize. Front desk mentioned that they were having issues with the king beds doing that & were waiting on parts for repair.

I loved the amenities! I didn’t use the pool, because there wasn’t time. I do love that there’s constantly hot coffee, tea, and cold drinking water if you’d like it. The continental breakfast was pretty good. Waffles, eggs, sausages, or a variety of bagels and such.
