Room was big as it was a suite, and was very clean. Breakfast was one of the best I have had in Virginia Beach, employees really keep it going. Hotel was full due to airshow at Oceana. Only one elevator was working and waits could be very extensive. Other than that, a good stay.

The elevator was broken the whole time. The hotel needs to be remodeled completely. For the price i paid is not worth it.

This is a very old building and just needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Rooms have been updated somewhat, but cleanliness was questionable. One of the elevators was out of service, so we had to take the stairs or you would be waiting all day. The stairwells are filthy and the plaster was crumbling off the walls. Would never stay here again in a million years!

Room was fine. Clean, spacious with a great ocean view. Shower door leaks. Common areas are a bit run down. Could use some upkeep. One of two elevators not working and it's been that way for a bit. Pool access limited to two ladders for entry, exit. Not convenient for many. Breakfast offerings are wonderful, however due to limited kitchen capacity, not all items are available at the same time, plenty of eggs though. All in all, hotel is OK but needs improvements to qualify as a "hidden gem".

Wonderful staff. Great Breakfast. Upon arrival, the elevator was broke. We had to carry our luggage up nine floors to our room. Since we are senior citizens, this was not an easy task. It was fixed later that evening.

The prople that work there are nice as they can be. The only reason i gave a 4 is because the pool ladders are terrible. They have 3 steps then right into the pool. It's terrible for elderly, children n heavy people. Otherwise, it was great Good breakfast too

12 floors and ice machines only on two floors. Two elevators, one broken. Coffee machine in lobby broken. Breakfast available until 10 am. Monday breakfast was totally stocked at 9:45 with a very friendly waitstaff in uniform. Tuesday at 9:45 no bagels, no muffins, no pastry, no fruit, no yogurt, waitstaff looked like a young guest, and just replied “all out”. No rest rooms available other than your room. Water flow from outdoor shower has no pressure, only drips out. Interior hallways and stairs need cleaning and painting. Would not recommend.

The only problem we encountered is elevator waiting for almost 20-30 minutes before going up because another elevator is broken. They have the best breakfast that we enjoyed for 2 days.

The building in general was old. There were only 2 elevators for the whole building. At one point one elevator was broken. Wait time for the elevator was very very long. Multiple ice machines and other items were broken through out the building. The room itself was nice clean and comfortable. The biggest issue is our balcony door wouldn’t close. We called maintenance. They came and slammed it shut but then even my husband couldn’t open it. They changed the knob and it kind of worked but multiple times it got stuck open or it was shut and I got stuck on the balcony. The breakfast crew was very nice and friendly but They couldn’t keep up with the food demand and multiple times they were out of multiple items ( bacon sausage biscuits pancakes). So we had to wait but when food was refilled the lines were LONG. The variation of meals every day wasnt great and I ended up eating the same thing almost every day. The food itself was okay. The pool was in good shape and clean. Parking was easy and accessible. Location was great.

This place is dated! Shocked it hasn’t been torn down. A bit shady as well. It’s hard to describe but it appears to have formerly been an external corridor property that they subsequently threw up an exterior wall around to disguise what this property really is. Very little air circulation within the room (bedroom portion especially) makes it very stuffy and uncomfortable sleeping at night. Requested maintenance from front desk who said engineer was on their way up to check it out. Never came. Her attitude made it clear this was an inconvenience for her as well. The place was maybe at 30% occupancy. There were no more than 8 cars in the parking garage the entire stay. Toilet seat was all chipped up. Breakfast was the sole bright spot. Good service there. Clean. And basic, but hot breakfast.

Loved the location and the staff was helpful. However, the condition of the property and especially the room left much to be desired. Black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. Grim in the bathroom. Though you can control the temperature for periods at a time it automatically cuts off after two hours and your room warms up again. Again, location and staff are great. Oh, the breakers good as well.

Not that great. Bathroom shower had black hairs all over the walls in shower. Shower door leaked soaking the bathroom floor. Ask housekeeping if I could have extra towel and wash clothe, told me no she was only doing checkouts. Lock to balcony was broke. Door was too heavy to open and close. Husband had to do this for me. DO NOT PLAN ON USING THIS HOTEL AGAIN. One positive was the breakfast and the Man helping out. Very friendly. Nice singing voice!

I liked having a balcony and oceanview, but my first day there i had no hot water and what came out was rusty. There was food from the last visitors still on the floor and the shower had mold and mildew and the soap dish was rusty.

There was dirty hall on floor 3 - it appeared like sewage had come through some bars and dirty walls - ice machine broken 1 elevator broken - did not have enough wash towels and had to keep asking for towels - the bathroom sink was clogged -

The view was amazing, but the hotel room was dated. The paint was peeling off the walls, windows were dirty, someone smoked in the room, there were burn holes in the furniture and stains from cigarettes on the counter. There was something stuck on the bedding and no staff to change it. The floor had gum stuck in the carpet and stains that let me know they never cleaned it.

This facility NEEDS a complete makeover!!! Paint chipping, mold, and rust noted in outer hallways. North stairway filthy and moldy smelling just like a dungeon. We did not have any hot water in the shower for 3 out of our 4 days. Staff were courteous, however we never received towels that were requested until the next day when we asked for them again. Facility did not meet or even reach our expectations! Expedia you must update your app, so other people are not as disappointed as we were! Overall we love Virginia Beach! We have vacationed there for more than 15 years!!!

Not clean, poor housekeeping (towels stayed in the hallway the entire stay). No kiddie pool. Tub faucet fell off in my hand. Bed linen soiled. We wanted a budget friendly hotel but loss money because we left early because how uncomfortable the hotel made us feel.

The room was very nice and clean. We did have an issue with the shower door and not sealing tight enough which made the floor soaked after a shower. We also could not close the door to the balcony all the way. It would stick really bad and we never got it shut all the way.

The suite was large, the staff helpful enough, breakfast was good and the gentleman in charge of it was fantastic! The view of the beach was great. The doors were rusty and hard to open, I had to ask for bedding for the couch and for coffee pods every day.

Loved the proximity to the beach, the ocean facing room, and the balcony. The couch was quite worn but still very comfy. Only negative was the water pressure for the shower. We had a great room, and had a great view. Perfect for a long weekend.

Staff was amazing. Room was very clean but as a whole the property was a little dated. Only complaint was that there were only 2 elevators and only one worked which as we all know things happen and it was out of staffs control and you just deal with. Took significant time getting from floor to floor during prime times but because staff was amazing it was worth the wait. Breakfast was good and staff there also was amazing! Definitely would recommend for the $. Location as well was great and convenient to local shops and eateries.

Check in process made me question the reviews I read. It was slow no one greeted us. However once we got started it was better. The room was spacious there were 2 balconies plenty of room to spread out. Breakfast was basic hotel fare. No gluten free options. The ocean view from the balcony made it all worth it

The breakfast crew was very nice and friendly but They couldn’t keep up with the food demand and multiple times they were out of multiple items ( bacon sausage biscuits pancakes). So we had to wait but when food was refilled the lines were LONG. The variation of meals every day wasnt great and I ended up eating the same thing almost every day. The food itself was okay. The pool was in good shape and clean. Parking was easy and accessible. Location was great.

Fantastic view however the facility needs attention. Only 1 of 2 elevators worked. Waited 20 minutes for an elevator when it was time to checkout. Staff not the friendliest…1st evening there, returned from dinner to find another guest holding our door wide open. Office assigned the couple our room. No apology given to me when I went to the office. I was told the staff member didn’t complete our check-in process. After that experience decided we won’t stay here again.

Will definitely return! Amazing balcony view, clean comfortable room. ALL staff was so friendly, made you feel at home. The free breakfast buffet was top quality as well as entertaining! The place was not fancy, it had some peeling paint and some chipped tiles, but it was clean and not overpriced. Nice pool. Close to everything. It was the perfect vacation, cant wait to book again!

The overall convenience of the location was good due to where we needed to be for the sand soccer tournament. Unfortunately the service was not good my children and i could not get clean linens and called from 8am till 9:30pm to get bedding and towels to sleep and shower, Unfortunately never got any. We slept on the mattress with only a sheet for the night and went down to the pool and got pool towels so that we could shower that night. The next day talked to the manager who said she would send me a free nights stay and have yet to receive anything a week later. I will be contacting the management team again.

Free-breakfast was the best incentive during my stay. Check-in staff were unfriendly and my room was not ready upon check-in at 4pm. Hotel was down an elevator for the duration of the entire stay, made lengthily wait-times for the elevator. VERY noisy, do not stay here if you’re expecting a peaceful quiet stay. We had a 1 year old in the room and between the nearby air force training facility and the concerts being played everyday all day it was unbearably loud. The entire hotel could use some TLC and repairs as it was run down. The parking garage was a tight nightmare. Would not stay here again.

This location is awesome but the customer service is even better! If the lady at the front desk and the man in charge of breakfast leave, I'd have to look for a new spot. It makes a big difference when the staff cares. Where else can you show up to continental breakfast 30 minutes before it closes and be brought HOT food? I've been staying here since 2018 and have never seen bugs...also VERY important to me.

Hate to complain but only one elevator was working took 20 minutes most of the time to get one. Was told that I had to find house keeping to get towels. There is 11 floors. Took two days to find towels. We had to buy some across the street. Rocky I believe he is maintenance who closed the pool at night etc.. was excellent. Great guy. I know people have bad days but the girls in the lobby where you check in was not very friendly most of the time. Breakfast guy on 4 was very friendly and nice. But breakfast was supposed to start at 7am It opened one morning at 720.. Food was good. Its alot of money to stay there for tje troubles we had. Just aggravating.

Although the area is well located, beachfront and very close to wallgreen, the hotel itself is very run down. there are only two elevators with safety hazards, one did not work when we were there on the 4th of July weekend. Breakfast was chaotic, too many people and not enough food.

The hotel is next to 24th St Park where there is live entertainment which is great, better than great if the band is singing music you like. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful with my questions. Things that could use improvement is it could use more parking and the wait for the elevator is too long. I was on the 4th floor so I would use the stairs sometimes when I got tired of waiting. I was thankful I wasn’t on the 5-7 floor. Overall we LOVED our stay!

Disappointing stay. Comfortable bed and nice ocean views, but the shower leaked all over the floor (not sealed correctly) and we had to use all of the towels to soak the water up. Reported the problem and tried to get more towels, but it wasn’t until the 3rd time that we finally got some towels. Rougher area of town, bands playing loud music into the night . . . Not a place we will stay again.

One of the guys that worked the breakfast most mornings was fabulous!! Very friendly and entertaining one of the happiest people I’ve ever met! Other staff was also very pleasant. Overall we had a decent stay. However the bench directly in front of the hotel on the boardwalk had a group of people that literally sat there ALL day and night and some of them slept on the bench, the sidewalk, or the beach over night. Too many homeless laying around on the boardwalk.

This hotel is in a great location. It's sitting on the beach with stores and restaurants on the other side. Everything thing is in walking distance. The staff was nice, and friendly. What really makes this hotel different from the others is the father, and daughter duo preparing the breakfast every morning. This guy is full of life, and does his job very well along with his daughter by his side. I've never experienced a breakfast like this at any other hotel. They also have an outdoor lighted pool on the fourth floor which is conveniently located across from the breakfast room. A covered garage to park your vehicle in. I will most definitely be staying here again if and when I travel back to Virginia Beach.

Saturday morning breakfast was great however Sunday morning breakfast was not so great. Limited staff. Staff was amazing. Room was very clean but as a whole the property was a little dated. Only complaint was that there were only 2 elevators and only one worked which as we all know things happen and it was out of staffs control and you just deal with. Took significant time getting from floor to floor during prime times but because staff was amazing it was worth the wait. Breakfast was good and staff there also was amazing! Definitely would recommend for the $. Location as well was great and convenient to local shops and eateries.
