We were in the 6 floor annex. It was horrible. Our room was small, over crowded and the bathroom was impossibly tiny. The staff did not replenish coffee, soap, shampoo or towels unless we asked--when we could catch them. The elevator in our building did not work on at least two nights. We had to walk up and down 3 flights to take the dog our. We have stayed here many times and enjoyed our visits. But this time may be the last.

I was disappointed that the patio of lounge chairs you see in pictures does not exist, nor does the gift shop. The dining facility was not as pictured either and the outdoor sitting option was very basic. The pool faces the parking lot and 2 large buses sat right outside the pool the entire time. We enjoyed the location away from the busy boardwalk area and the views from the room were amazing.

I had a horrible experience, though the staff at the front desk were great! My son and baby niece got stuck in the elevator for about 20 mins the emergency phone was not working and the power had went off inside the elevator my son refuse to take the elevator for the remaining of our trip which was an inconvenience because he needed to rest for his long weekend if tournament . My room did not get clean and when they finally got to clean it, it was 6pm and my son was wresting for a wrestling tournament he had the next day. Unfortunately we also had our power of go off in the room for about 30 mins. I can honestly say I would not be staying here again.

The family and I had a wonderful time there as it provided us what we wanted out of this vacation. I feel the property needs some renovations. I did notice a moldy smell in the room and seen signs of what looks to be water damage or black mold growing, so that was my only concern. I think that they clean as much as possible (the room and common areas show it), but it is difficult for them to keep up with due to the amount of weathering the building has.

From the minute we stepped into the room The moldy-smell, carpet was sticky the walls had black mold the drapes, torn the bed had pubic hair. I have never stayed in a dirtier hotel. I didn’t want to walk on the carpet in my room in my bare feet. The hallway carpet looked like it had been weeks once they were vacuumed. The facility overall looks run down —elevators, walls, carpeting.

This protery was extremely dirty and unkept. the light in the bathroom was rusted out. The tube had a dirt ring around it. Hair and dirt from the preveous guest stay. Sticky fingerprints all over the balcony door, trash behind the dresser. Big holes in the hallway floor and ceiling, pool was grungy looking. All the money people pay for the room it is clear that Wyndham is not puttig any of that into the maintainace and upkeep of the property. I called the frontdesk to ask for someone to clean the bathroom when we checked in he said he would send some one up they never came. When I told him no one came his attitude was like oh well, I told them and there was nothing he can do. I worked in the hotel industry for over 10 years and this was one of the worst run and kept hotels I have ever stayed in. I will NEVER make the mistake of staying there again. Expedia should be ashamed for rating this hotel even a 7.6. I rate it on the level of a low budget Motel. I hope this helps someone when making there decision to stay here. the only Con was that it was on the beach BUT miles from the board walk or restaurants.

The hotel needs to be badly remodeled. Balcony was falling apart, curtains were dirty, broken and dragging on the floor. Cabinets were broken. So were some lamps. Wall paper is peeling. Bed was comfy. We passed one hallway daily that had no ceiling and was dripping … no attempt at repairing it just a machine to dry it and I saw someone mopped the floor once I will never go back

I’ve stayed here a few times. This property is run down and needs renovation and updates. The beach is awesome. So are the views. But the rooms all have a slightly musty smell. The carpets in the rooms need to be replaced. The paint is chipping and marked up. The beds are soft and kind of lumpy. You can have a good stay here at a lower cost if these issues don’t bother you. Clean Room, very nice staff, thought I had an oceanfront but had ocean view. I was disappointed in the bathroom and the balcony. The bathroom had no counter space to put toiletries and the toilet was child size and too low. The balcony was big enough for 1 person comfortably and it was 2 of us. Overall it was okay.

The room was very small and and the bathroom was even smaller and cramped. The balcony sliding door was hard to open and the windows were very dirty. The wifi network was unsecured, was non-existent most of the time, was very unreliable, it consistently disconnected from the network. The property itself appeared aged & outdated, and the property configuration is not welcoming. There wasn't any morning buffet. The view of the beach was good. The property location was a bit further away from the VA Beach boardwalk than I expected. The customer parking was extremely tight and not a smooth nor convieniant.

Read the reviews prior to arrival, hoped and prayed that there would be no issues. After checking in, went to the room and the bed wasn't made and pillow had make up stains. Called the front desk and they offered to come make it right. It took almost an hour for housekeeping to come clean the room. Wasnt a good start to the vacation.

There are lots of good things about this hotel. The location is lovely - off the boardwalk but still convenient to everything. Parking was easy and also convenient. The ocean view was phenomenal. We had a little issue with our ac and maintenance came immediately up to fix it and were so nice and professional, quick and thorough. They went above and beyond! But the cleanliness and general condition of the hotel was pretty dismal. Overflowing trash in the halls, wet towels and wet sandy floors in the halls and elevators. No clean sheets even though we requested it and it was supposed to happen every 3 days. The carpet had fingernail clippings on it when we checked in and the beds in our room were clearly worn out and had caved in the center. There was only one very old slow elevator in our building and housekeeping actually got on and made us wait for the next one. We even had to ask for a trashcan for our bathroom. It seems like this place is worn out and no one cares. The outside of the property looks highly decent but there was overpowering smell of weed in most of the common areas even though I thought it was a non smoking property.

Hotel is dated but nice. Room service could be better. For what you pay everyday the room should be cleaned each day. In addition three towels were in the room the day we arrived and only two towels weee left going forward. Also the safe did not work in the room and I asked for that to be addressed and it was not.

Had to ask housekeeping several times to clean and clean towels. When they did come to empty the trash and put in towels they went thru the drawers and found some change that we had to wash clothes and took it. When i called the front desk they didn't do anything about it. Housekeeping left the dirty towels and trash at our door all night long. They didnt even leave ny toilet tissue and when I went to get some they couldn't find any.

The room when I arrived was nice and the view was awesome. However, the staff was not friendly or nice. They had attitudes including the manager Dawn. John, and Gabe was just not making me feel welcome. I had to take out garbage for two days that I was there. No room service. My floor was not vacuum just dirty and no towels but 3 big and two middle ones left on top of the toilet bowl. I had to call downstairs for wash cloths and I forgot her name but she claim that she will call housekeeping around 9:30pm that is when my husband and I return back to our room for being out since 7am. The hallways were filthy trash everywhere. Dawn the manager refused to offer me half my money back but instead she insulted me by given me back some 22.99 fee taxes. After all the hell they put me and my husband through. I forgot the afternoon before we were leaving our door would not open. They had to call a maintenance man to fix our door. It was broken and I had to go to the bathroom down in the laundry. I do not ever want yo return there again. They do not sanitize or disinfect the rooms. No sweeping or mopping the floors. Nasty place, nasty people. I demand at least half of my money back please

The room was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable with a beautiful view of the ocean. Very quiet besides the one night the restaurant at the hotel had a live bad but it was over at 8pm so nothing really to complain about there. Very pet friendly $25 per pet per day. It's not close to the boardwalk so it was like having your own private beach surrounded by residential property. I was very happy with my stay I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is located northside of Virginia Beach away from regularly crowded area. It's nice if you like a quieter area. Hotel is right on the beach with almost the feeling of a private beach. Though we couldn't take advantage of a restaurant on the main floor, it's convenient if you don't want to drive for food. However building seems very old though decently maintained. Overall, our experience was good.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was clean and staff were friendly. However, the elevators and parking garage were dirty, while a bit separate from the hotel lobby, the elevator still goes up to the rooms. Also, there were no sidewalks outside of the hotel to walk near the street. So it's not walkable. But we loved the room, view was beautiful, check-in was smooth and we enjoyed our night here.

The good thing of this property is close to the beach, 10 to 15 minutes from the boardwalk, and has a free parking. The bad thing that this hotel is old, an lots of thing that need to be fixed. During our stayed with our son and his family (4 small grandchildren); we had 2 bedrooms that can fix 8 people. I & my husband arrive to the hotel 2 days early than my son & his family. In the second day, in the master bedroom, the bedframe bar are sticking out of the frame, and the housekeeper has covered up by the bed skirts, my left leg were scratch by the metal frame and bleeding all over my slipper. My husband came to help me and he scratched himself by the same metal bar of bedframe as well. We went to the office to report, and they sent out someone to come to cut the metal bar from the bedframe before my grandchildren arrived. Yes, we had a good time with my grandchildren on the beach. If we want to come back and stay in this hotel again, no!

All of the staff from registration to restaurant and cleaning were all very friendly and courteous. The property was very clean and our room was outstanding. Access to the beach was easy and the hot tub after a day at the beach was very relaxing. It is however about a 10 minute drive away if you want to go to the main part of the beach where the restaurants and shops are and parking is expensive. The only thing I didn’t like was the restaurant because the food was overpriced and the breakfast buffet was absolutely terrible. The selection of food was minimal and I’ve never had a buffet where you had to pay extra for coffee and juice. Price of the buffet was expensive enough but then we had to add an additional $18 for 3 cups of coffee and 3 glasses of juice. In summary, I highly recommend staying here but go somewhere else to eat.

This hotel is reasonably priced (during the week anyway) and offers ocean front rooms and beach access…it was perfect for a simple getaway. But…They hosted a volleyball charity event that they cannot reasonably accommodate for in terms of parking. We left to grab dinner while the event was taking place and came back to a full lot…We circled around the lot and parking garage for a while but couldn’t find an open space. We spoke to the lobby staff and was told to park in front of the lobby and come back later (bedtime) to move our cars. Sorry, but paying guests with rooms should have priority parking. Event attendees can park elsewhere. Or just don’t host events that you can’t accommodate for. Many other hotel guests were driving around looking for spots and getting frustrated as well. Webpage- advertises that hot breakfast is available. Available is the keyword. At first, I thought breakfast was included in our stay. Then I re-read the wording later and realized that may not be the case. When we arrived, we asked and were advised that there is a restaurant that serves breakfast but it is not complementary. The “hot breakfast available” phrase should be removed as it is confusing and potentially misleading- especially when “restaurant” is already listed as amenity. The hotel also needs to add more sand showers and invest in more luggage carts. There are 18 floors and only ONE luggage cart and sand shower was available, at least from what I saw.

I thought not having a continental breakfast was a let down. But definitely not as bad as no discount to the restaurant in hotel. $22.00 for a breakfast buffet is ridiculous. Hotel was basic with no extra frill's. They no longer leave bags in room for dirty clothes. 3 elevators in hotel, but middle one only seemed to work, even when heavy traffic to your room.

Love the location. Convenient eatery with the best mac & cheese. Fun band playing just outside the adjoining outside eatery. Loved being able to bring my dog. No info in room concerning eatery hours, local businesses or pool hours. There was a roach in the bathroom. No bag in the trash bin. I general the room could use an update.

The property could use some updating especially the bathrooms by the pools. The pool are next to the parking lot. You are visible to any and everyone even the delivery drivers. It's just in a awkward place. The buffet breakfast was not worth $18. It didn't have enough choices. They were charging $3 for a cup of OJ in addition to the $18 buffet charge.
