Reviews of SpringHill Suites by Marriott McAllen Convention Center highlight consistently clean rooms, friendly staff, and a convenient location near dining, shopping, and the convention center, while noting recurring facility hiccups such as pool problems, elevator outages, and renovation disruption.

Room comfort is generally good, though some guests mention soft or uncomfortable mattresses, temperature control or AC issues, road noise in street-facing rooms, and spotty in-room Wi‑Fi. Breakfast is widely appreciated, but a few note weak coffee, limited fresh fruit, or brisk end-of-service clearing. All was great except for the pool, the water was cold all the time and the reason we picked this hotel was the pool! I’m not booking again.

The hotel is currently under renovation. They begin their work as early as 8 am and you can't sleep. They also cut the water for periods during the day due to the renovations. We were surprised when we came back to the hotel to get ready for a dinner reservation to find out that the room didn't have water and we couldn't take showers or use the bathroom. Therefore we had to reschedule pir reservation to wait fornthe water to come back.

The worst experience ever. I've arrived at 7 PM to check-in and the front desk lady literally told me... I'm so sorry but you cannot check in because we don't have electricity as a result of rain (altough other hotels were capable of having electricity since they have power generators that prevent this to happen). The front desk lady offered me a refund, but I declined it since I didn't have an option of staying at that time of the night and everything nearby the city was completely booked. After rude words from that lady (who literally said to me to sleep on the parking lot with my family while laughing), I requested to speak with her manager, who offered me a lower quality room, without A/C and a broken TV in a partner hotel. I didn't have any other option to take it, but asked for a refund of the corresponding amount that was already paid (which they never refunded me, as of today) I lost time, money and was offended while doing this small trip with my family. I will never stay in this hotel chain again.

We traveled with our friends and unfortunately the rooms were not ready at the time of the Check In... and we told Sr Hector (saturday July 20th) that we needed more time for checkout, he said was not problem.. and the day after, the front desk Miss did not have any customer service attitude. She said, we needed to pay, She apply the hotel policy, etc..etc... without any question or interest about our previuos day situation... Definitely, You lost a Customer. We will never go back.

Everything was great about the place, the facilities, the room, everything clean, the breakfast great. The only issue was at the check in with the lady at the front desk. We paid the reservation in advance through the expedia web, but when we arrived, she said we had to make a deposit, but I check on the web and I couldnt find this info, neither in the terms and condition or any other place said that we have to make that deposit. So she tried several times to do that but the sistem wasnt working, she tried at least 5 times with my credit card to do it, it said approved on the machine and the computer but she said that the system didnt register the paymant, meanwhie, i had my son very tired for the trip and he was running and crying in the place, she said we have to grab them and controle him because he was running in front of other customers, but that was because we stay there for more than 10 minutes because of her fault or her system i dont know, she put us in that situation.

I left my iphone charger and a gizmo hanging from the cable. I called right away and they told me the manager will hold it and i went to pick it up, she never came out, she left me waiting and said she didn’t have anything. She sent someone else to tell me. Didn’t even apologize at least. And one of the employees told me she keeps everything that people leave. That is why she never came out.

Title: Excellent Service and Comfortable Stay – Minor Hot Tub Hiccup I had a fantastic weekend at SpringHill Suites by Marriott McAllen this past weekend. From check-in to check-out, the staff was incredibly professional and welcoming – they truly made us feel right at home. The rooms were clean, modern, and spacious, with all the amenities you’d expect from Marriott. The complimentary breakfast was a standout: fresh, varied, and delicious. The cut of narrow selection? Wait, I think you mean the curated, not-too-overwhelming options – it was perfect for a quick, satisfying start to the day. Highlights included fluffy eggs, crispy bacon, fresh fruit, and strong coffee. The only minor drawback was the hot tub in the pool area, which was more lukewarm than steamy. It wasn’t a deal-breaker for our stay, but it did leave us hoping for a quick maintenance fix. Overall, this is a solid choice for a comfortable, hassle-free trip to McAllen – I’d return and recommend it to friends! Rating: 4.5/5

Very acceptable hotel and with good cleanliness. We liked the breakfast they offer, however we find it uncomfortable that they are so exact to remove things. The staff almost snatches everything and too quickly as if preventing anything from being eaten as soon as the clock strikes the end of breakfast. I think if you wait about 10 or 15 minutes after the hour, they would make a better impression on the guest
