Really nice, fresh, comfortable rooms and in a great location near many old town restaurants and a short commute to DC. Staff is outstanding. Fitness center is outdated and has many inoperable machines but I managed to get in a few workouts. We'd stay here again.

The hotel was very average. The room we had was ok, but had only 1 small window that opened to a deck that was accessed by another room so we had no privacy or the room was very dark. The AC was very loud every time it turned on and off, we asked them to fix it, but they said it was normal. The spa, restaurant and gym were under construction. The worst part of the stay was the fire alarm going off at 7 am in error the testing was supposed to and did go off at 9 am as well which both were shocking since we were on west coast time. I would not book agsin.

We found the staff welcoming and attentive. The room was quiet and comfortable. My only criticism is the $40/day parking. I guess that’s what one pays in Old Town.

Hotel and staff are great! Took one star off because hotel was very loud due to remodeling as well as a very loud neighboring room on the 6th floor. Would not hesitate to stay here again once the remodel is complete.

The room was clean and comfortable. We booked two rooms and at 10am there was only warm water to take a shower…in both rooms. Our refrigerator wasn’t working in one of the rooms. It was a crowded weekend… right before New Years. Only one elevator worked and the only floor with a workable ice maker was on the 5th floor. We were on the 2nd floor .

Loved the hotel itself and the location, King Street bar, and great breakfast spot attached are all bonuses! Staff was friendly, and for the most part the hotel is excellent. However..... There was an on/off smell during my stay like a sewer line broke somewhere...Phew! And then on my my last night there I saw lucky enough to ride the elevator up to my room with a large winged crawling insect which I will not name here. Understanding that these things are probably everywhere on King Street and that I saw no other evidence of them anywhere else in the hotel, I'm hoping that was a rarity. But overall I did like the hotel!

It was good but not as good as what reviewers say! It was okay. Beds were clean , maintenance was great, but shower water pressure was awful, leaking on the faucet of bathroom, bad smell in elevator and hallways,,, i give 7-8 out of 10 based on price

The room seemed dingy.. small window, which made it dim and seem like a basement room. Also hair left in shower. The dirtiest and crustiest TV remote I have ever seen. Now the staff on the other hand was amazing. Everyone was very friendly

Loved loved loved the deck off of our room, it was an unexpected social space we enjoyed thoroughly! We also loved how many electrical outlets and charging ports there were. And the quick service of staff was noticeable. However, all this could not offset the biggest negative which was the faint, constant smell of urine in our room. Either the carpeting or the furniture needs a good steam cleaning to get rid of previous stains/accidents....and this should be done after each use. Also there is only one nightstand in the bedroom, should be 2 as typically there would be 2 guests using the room. Thanks.

Our stay was short, but we were excited for a little getaway. I used reward points for our stay and paid around $150 out of pocket. Overall the property felt run down, little details in regards to cleaning felt somewhat missed. The caramels left in our room unfortunately had ants in them so we tossed them. We also woke up to a lot of ants in our bed as well. I unfortunately do regret using the points I had saved for what I thought would be a splurge night for us.

Very nice room and beautiful claw foot tub though I didn’t get a chance to enjoy it like I wanted. This hotel would’ve gotten 5 stars if it wasn’t for the following and would’ve gotten lower if it wasn’t for the following. Would’ve gotten 5 stars if the AC unit went below 70 degrees. The thermostat went below 70 but the temperature didn’t drop any. Wanted a chill room as I dozed off but instead I stayed up and down with a lukewarm room. Another issue was the water pressure in the bathroom sink was ridiculously low. The other issue was hearing the delivery driver make a delivery between 6 am and 615 am. Would’ve understood if it was during the week but this was a Saturday morning. Had no plans to get up that early but the noisy delivery truck and unloading woke me up. The hotel would’ve gotten a lower rating if it wasn’t for the young lady that checked me out and asked how was my stay. I shared my experience and she went into action by showing she cared by noting my concerns and offered to make it right. Her positive friendly make it right exceptional customer service attitude is the reason I’ll be goin back and again why the hotel didn’t get a lower rating. Overall I loved the boutique hotel and how it was hidden off the street. The inside of the hotel was nice and clean. The court yard with benches was lovely. Love the shower and tub set up in the room. I hope during my next stay that these issues are fixed.

The staff members were accommodating and on the ball. The room was clean and attractive, though a bit on the small side. The was a microwave oven & small fridge in the room. Skimpy on closet and drawer space but provided bath robes & slippers. Water pressure was fine but I would have preferred more oomph.

The hotel is walkable from the local Amtrak station and nestled on King Street with access to a free trolley (to local shops/eateries and the Potomac waterfront). The hotel's bar/grille and newly-opened HomeGrown breakfast and brunch were phenomenal. The room was large, clean, comfortable and quiet. And the staff was top notch - giving local tips and even helping me celebrate my birthday with a special treat. I will definitely return.

Everything about the Archer was wonderful except for the room layout. The room was a double queen bed but adjoining another locked hotel room. The room was cornered in such a way that we had no sunlight window. It was facing the balcony of the room next door with only a small corner window. I had to request a room change. Other than that all was good. I just think the first room they put us in was not ideal especially at the rates charged.

We had a wonderful stay. The front desk folks couldn’t have been more helpful. They were wonderful helping me get around by myself. The restaurant downstairs has wonderful breakfast and a great weight staff. I also had a massage at Joylife downstairs and Jennifer gave me one of the most amazing massages that I’ve ever had. Plus, such a beautiful little town with clean streets. I absolutely loved it there.

The day shift manager told me two days before I arrived, the room I PREPAID for, a suite, AND the room I always stay in, #515, was locked in and will be ours FOR SURE. When we arrived from Paris, exhausted, the night shift said the room was given away, no suite was available, and gave us a noisy room right on the street. Then they said I had to go through hotels.com (Expedia) to get the refund of the difference between a suite (that I paid for) and the room they put us in. To their credit, Mckenzie, the night shift manager, said she initiated the refund difference for us with Expedia. But needless to say, as much as we stay there and as often as we stay there, I expected better treatment and not to be lied to, and something better than "There’s nothing we can do." I wont be staying at this hotel again. In addition, I won't be using hotels.com (Expedia) again as it puts in an extreme hassle "middle man" when things go wrong.

This boutique hotel was a wonderful find! Beautiful hotel in a perfect location right in the heart of Old Town Alexandria and only blocks from the Metro. Definitely a 5-star hotel experience. The rooms were impeccable, the courtyard was beautiful and the hotel staff could not be more helpful. The only issue at this establishment is the restaurant on-site. We were given a credit to dine at the hotel. The service was incredibly slow (over an hour for eggs and toast) even though they were not busy. The toast was burned past the point of being edible.

Clean and large rooms. Good shower. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent location on King Street. Close to Amtrak, the Metro, and King Street trolley. Free coffee in the morning and free wine tasting in the evening. Many great restaurants nearby and the waterfront is a quick trolley ride or a 15 minute walk. Close to historic sites. Highly recommend.

The worst toilet paper and tissues ever. What a stupid place to cut corners. A Maryland rest stop en route had better toilet paper! Ordered a pizza from room service and it was never delivered. This used to be a Kimpton Hotel but they sold to Archer in 2024. Quality has slipped.

The hotel was a cozy retreat in the heart of Old Town. The romms were nice with great linens. Our only complaint is that the Valet service was sketchy but would not be a problem if you don't have a car. There were few dining options at the hotel but lots of great places to eat nereby. We would definitely stay there again.

I arrived expecting a high end stuffy kind of atmosphere but instead found a it to be a low key, homey kind of place. All the staff were friendly and helpful from the valet to reception desk staff. I was a bit disappointed at the size of our room. It felt kind of cramped and needs more electrical outlets. I would definitely ask for a suite and/or a room with a balcony next time. I LOVED the courtyard, the wine tasting and complimentary coffee/tea in the morning. Nice to have 2 available restaurants on site but other restaurants are close by and walkable too. Sunday brunch in Barbo restaurant was great. Didn’t get to use spa but plan to next visit.

Love the addition Nespresso coffee makers in the room and the reopening of the Tasting Room. Very convenient for a delicious quick bite without leaving the property.
