The front desk clerk never acknowledged us when we first walk in. She was extremely rude. When I asked her if there were any rooms available she said no we are full. I said im logged on my app and i show one. Brianna said no we dont have any rooms and went on to the next people. Once i returned to tell her I had a reservation she rolled her eyes and told me to wait. Once the resevation done she went on gave us a room that was dirty with a guest in it. Unbelievable so we went back told her and all she did was hand us another room. No apologies no nothing. Just hand us down another key and she went back to work. Holiday Inn is the worst place ever. Not to mention the elevators not working. Worse place ever.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was large, clean, with comfy beds. Breakfast was an extra charge but kids eat free. Has a lovely pool with a couple of large cabana like areas by pool that easily fit six of us. I will stay here again.

Room was fantastic and huge. Only issue was that the pool was not cleaned or maintained having a lot of floating debris. Also the guest laundry was out of order during our stay which was inconvenient as this, along with the pool, were main reasons we chose this hotel over others so this was disappointing.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. A bit disappointed the bar was not open as I selected it for this reason to meet clients. But fortunately they were right next door to several nice restuarants. Clean and nice beds

Staff was great at check-in. But went downhill from there. The room smelled like wet dog and boiled peanuts. I got some air freshener spray from house keeping. It didn't work. Morning breakfast was closed because the cook didn't show up. Bar is only open for 5hours. The beer taps have napkins shoved in the tap. Napkins breakdown when wet. That leave paper in the tap to mold and then be poured into someones glass. Lastly they only have one working elevator and it has missing screws from panels, needs repair.

Elevator dirty, bathtub was filthy, I actually wanted to buy bathroom cleaner to clean tub. Towels are not clean. Carpet is dirty, room had and sheets smelled musty. I felt dirty. Outdoor is dirty, lobby had odor, smelled like egg. I will never stay again at this hotel

After a vacation to South Padre Island, our flights out of Brownsville were canceled due to weather. We booked 2 rooms here. Of the first rooms they assigned us, one smelled of cigarette smoke, and the other smelled moldy. Front desk staff was friendly and apologetic, quickly assigning new rooms. There was no hot water until very late on our last night, due to an issue with the boiler, and every time we asked about it, we were only told, "They're working on it, and it should be fixed in the next hour." There was no offer of compensation other than a free breakfast, and we heard other guests complain about this, as well - including some work crews who had booked multiple rooms. Nate at the bar was great, but the other bartender was rude and condescending. We were happy to have a roof over our heads, given the circumstances, but that's about all it was.

First as soon as I walked in to check-in, it smelled like sewerage. The bar and dining table are at the entrance where the smell was at. The bathrooms look like they need new wallpaper and paint. Black mold around the restroom corners and shower. When taking a shower tub would get backed up. The air condition unit was broken and loud.

Front desk check in went well, quick easy and friendly. Building appeared to be nice and clean however we found 3 small roaches in our room during our stay. Two of which were on the beds(queen bed and sleeper sofa). When we found them it was late night and we were tired then we had to step out early morning. Do to our rushed schedule we decided to inform the front desk at the time of check out and provided photo proof. They immediately informed maintenance . But unfortunately they said they could not make any adjustments on payments because the room was booked through Expedia. This was disappointing because we expected better conditions from a IHG Hotel. I won't be returning to that Holiday Inn location and definitely reconsider booking with Expedia or IHG .

Room 407 Door would not close and latch. inside safety latch had been torn away and poorly reattached. Fbi entered hallway with dog as we were moving to different room with door that closes. I have pictures.

The property was ok but unfortunately I am very displeased with my checkout. I was charged $25 for a missing pillow. I called and spoke with the manager Mr. Valdez who stated that the children may have been walked out with it or it could have been taken for the road. I had no children with me and have no need to take anything from a hotel room. I asked if it would be possible they mixed up the rooms he said no because the housekeeper took pictures. He went on to say hr would do me a favor and credit me the $25 and jokingly said if i find the pillow i can send it back. The nerve of disrespect! But I will never again stay at this location.

The customer support was poor. My TV didn't work properly and when asking for support it felt like it was inconvenient to request help. When my toilet was plugged, I asked for a plunger which the front desk employee could not find and suggested I just come downstairs to use the restroom. With 75 rooms, how do you not have a single plunger. The next morning the manager could not find one either. I ended up finding it myself in the lobby restroom. Additionally, when I stayed months before, they charged me again when I left. Had I not checked my credit card balance, I would not have noticed that they double charged me. Will never stay again!

When we go to the hotel we had to wait 1 hour before someone can check us in. Then the day before I had called to make sure our reservation was confirmed and the person on the other side of the phone hanged up on me. Then I called back and she never answered again. But the manger Rene help us and the gentleman in the morning help us was great. The hotel room was not what we thought it would be. The doors in the restroom did not lock and the shower was very slippery. There was a lot more but I guess that the best we can get.
