Motel 6-Brownsville, TX North

Deteriorating building..foundation shifting..doors not closing properly..plumbing plugged in sinks and toilets..elevators barely operable..noisy neighborhood..

I think the 6/10 is accurate rating, the positives, I was able to check in early, also provided later check out. The cons: although I had a later checkout the hotel looked empty as far as number of cars in lot, also hot tub wasn't hot and Jets didn't work, swimming pool was slightly dirty , and I found a dead cricket in my bathroom

This hotel is in horrible condition. Needs a lot of maintenance and upkeep. The first room we got was in horrible condition. Door was damaged and i struggled to open the door at first. The mattress was good but the linen was damaged, pillows were practically non existent. The TV was so small that I couldn’t understand how they can even say there’s a TV in that room. Stepped out of the room at a moment and then was locked out bc the battery for the card reader wasn’t working. Front desk at first wouldn’t switch the room bc I had already went into the room but once they saw that I couldn’t open the door they moved me. Second room was in a little better condition but still not by much. The parking lot is so dark it’sa bit sketchy feel. I will not be staying here again..

Old, dirty,small pool, no jacuzzi

Rooms had no frig, no microwave, no iron, no place for your luggage, no closet, just a bed and a toilet that was plugged up when we arrived. Doors open to outside, no breakfast, generally hotel is in poor condition, very run down.

The property was dirty old had people standing around outside when we got into our room. The door did not go all the way to the floor you could see outside the AC did not work was just not a safe place to stay. I was there 15 minutes found another room on South Padre left and they charge me for the first night the entire amount would not recommend this place for anyone, and I will never stay there again

My rooms a/c did not work & when i was goven another room, that room didnt have a microwave or mini-fridge & the attendant by the name of Ashley was rude & wanted to charge me more money for a queen room. Completely Unacceptable.

How can I start.... First we went in to the room to drop off all our things. The room looked celan but as soon as you went in to the restroom it was very unkept. The toilet had paint and inside it had the water ring that was brown. And they were spider webs. Then we changed to go to the pool area. The water was foggy i thought it was just me. As soon as we went in you could see hair chunks, grass, bugs and more. I had never gone to a motel with such dirty pool water and floor. As soon as i stepped out and walked towards the sitting area my feet were filthy. Inside the pool on the walls they were some rusted sharp things that a child or adult can easily get cut. After I saw all this I had it and we got out and went to the room. We then left to eat and came back to sleep. To my surprise the bed sheet cover smelled like pee and had such a wired smell. My first thought was omg they did not was this. One thing is that i am never going back. I rented thos place for the pool and a quick stay to head to the beach the next say and it was such a bad experience at this place. I have pictures but I cant find how to upload here in this rating.

Steps were broken going up to the third floor , pool is very small , pillows were lumpy and very uncomfortable, people drinking in the parking lots till 1/2 am. Thank God I only stayed a day !

We went to check in and the front desk lady showed us 3 rooms that smelled like mold and were not clean. There was white stuff on the blankets, cigarette burns and trash on the floor. There was also blood on the creases of the mattress which led us to believe that there might be bedbugs. We ended up requesting a refund due to the conditions of the rooms. I would recommend not booking with this hotel.

I got ready for bed I noticed on the sheet was a write up spot of blood about the size of a basketball sheet should have been thrown away but the property was still trying to use it !!!!! Gross

The room smelled bad. The TV wasn't working, the bathroom smelled bad. We went to the lobby and they said that's how it was and nothing could've been done.

The room had mold on the walls and ceiling. It smelled like mildew and cigarette smoke. It had cigarette burns on the covers and curtains. The mattresses were so uncomfortable and the pillows were flat. It didn’t have a microwave or mini fridge and the tv sucked. Do not stay here! It’s terrible.

Th property needs alot of work! Theres lots of roaches and spiders . The bath tub was dilthy and sink had mold

It was ok but alotnofnoeople making noises outside untill 7am I got maybe 2 hours of sleep then I had to leave and get charged for a other day it was clean and no really service at all I got it to get some sleep when I went to visit family but no sleep had due to the office people not doing nothing they have cameras and could see but again there lack of maintaining order made it u comfortable and I got no sleep

Not noisy at all but, hot water not enough pressure, Tv outdated bathtub not clean. Toilet moved alot.

The WiFi didn't work, as well as the TV. Someone had pulled out the cable. I had to repair cable and program for channel access. Not what I was hoping to do. I need access to reliable internet and was disappointed. It didn't work!

Reserved a queen and got a full. No refrigerator in the room. Noisy guests all night long. Hard bed with flat pillows.

Check in was fine and the room was clean. However, in the morning, I couldn't get the shower to work. And with a plane to catch, calling and waiting for maintenance was not an option. Making matters worse, I told the woman at the front desk about it when I checked out and she said I just needed to pull on the handle real hard to get it to work. If the management is aware that the shower handle is stuck, it should be fixed. Taking a shower should NOT be a struggle.

The restroom light was flickering, and the shower tub water was not draining properly. The room was hot, but the AC kept it cool at night.

The room was bare bones to say the least. The water control was reversed in the tub and didn’t get real hot.

Room had a musky smell, like humidity from air conditioning causing a very strong, unfavorable odor. Beside that the price was good, room was clean and location was convenient.

Jessie was so friendly and accommodating! Our first room didn’t have a refrigerator so he switched us when we asked if he had a room with one right away. He was also great with dining suggestions and things to do close by. He has a great driver if you need a ride to the airport. I felt safe staying and parking there. It was quiet, comfortable, and an affordable stay.

Room smelled bad, moved and the second smelled as well. Front office was rude refused to acknowledge the problem until we asked to come smell, she then moved us but giving us horrible attitude. Will not recommend.

Never again will we go to this motel. Rude staff, a/c leaking all over the room for days no one wants to fix or answer , worms by the door that had a big crack under the door, broken microwave, broken remote, shower filled up before even using. Disgusting waste of money and still no response from manager regarding any of concerns sent emails and called multiple times.

The property looks like its falling apart in certain areas. The lone customer service representative at the front desk is quick to inform you of her annoyance when you ask for extra towels or a late checkout.

Convenient location.

Best kept secret in Brownsville. The best location, accommodations and PRICE in the entire city. Located across the freeway from Sunrise mall where you can shop till you drop. The best restaurants are walking distance from the hotel and we walked to all of them while staying at Motel 6 NORTH: Freddy’s, Cheddars, Olive Garden, Black Bear Diner, Longhorn Steakhouse. Saved over $1,000.00 over the hotels a few blocks from Motel 6. Don’t tell anyone about the best little secret in Brownsville.

Loud noises. Motorcycles noises at 3 in the morning.

The property was good, but the area was not safe. I would not recommend that anyone stay here alone!

The room was in disrepair. Molds in the bathroom ceiling with no fan. Poorly patched ceiling in room. Missing or torn baseboards on walls. No breakfast.
