What guests think

Reviews of Motel 6-Crawfordsville, IN describe a budget, older property with mixed experiences, where many guests report serious cleanliness and maintenance problems, smoke or mildew odors, and traffic noise, while others note acceptable basics for a quick, low-cost stop.

Staff are often described as friendly, but several reviews cite booking problems, overbooking, and slow or unhelpful service. The location is convenient to I-74 and the property accepts pets, though the immediate surroundings, including a neighboring strip club, feel rough to some guests. Amenities are basic, with coffee rather than breakfast and some comments about tight or sketchy parking. Expect a no-frills stop focused on low price over comfort.

Just what we expected for the price. Bed was Comfortable, room was quiet, hot water, refrigerator and microwave, good air conditioning, parking outside our room. Like most older properties needed Updating and a little extra cleaning.

During my entire 3 day stay, the room started off dirty, there was no cleaning done, there were no clean towels or washcloths put in the room I had to ask for those. Parking spaces are very tight.

Staff at check in very courteous. This place accepts pets. If we hadn't had colds and driven for 10 hours we would have left. Previous dogs had marked the walls and stains were left. (I put abelly band on my dog when staying in hotels, so the urge to mark is diminished.) Light fixtures above the bed were full of dead bugs. Cubby holding remote was very dirty. Didn't open the fridge but it was rusty on the outside. Didn't use the shower. Basically the room felt icky. I would much rather pay a pet fee if the room had been nice. Will avoid this establishment.

The refrigerator was dirty inside, and all iced up. The floor turned my feet black in a few minutes. The bathroom was nasty, the stairway was filthy, there was no coffee in the pot in the lobby. I do have photos, but I may just send them to your corporate headquarters. At least it didn't cost a lot.

They dont have shampoo/conditioner in room. You have to ask the desk if they have any. Light over one of two beds reported not working first of 3 nights. They never fixed it.

The room itself was set up nicely and the beds were made up well. The room was clean and had what was needed for a one night stay. The bathroom was a little dingy, and could use better floor cleaning in the corners and behind the door.

Rooms

Rooms are very dated and worn, with frequent issues such as broken fixtures, nonworking or weak showers or AC, and smoke smells in some nonsmoking rooms. Highway-facing rooms can be noisy, bed comfort varies, and some spaces feel small.

Room was clean. I had a room on the side of the motel that faced !-74. A lot of road noise made it hard to sleep. I have stayed here earlier this year, and stayed on the other side of the property, and road noise was not a factor. If you stay here, make sure you get a room facing away from I-74. I was by myself, just needed a bed to sleep for the night, the room was fine. Prices are real low.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable it was a king size bed and we only were given three pillows that were tiny and flat the room had a funny smell to it there was no hot water barely got lukewarm at all in the sink or the shower couldn't even take a shower the TV did not work properly the refrigerator barely kept the items cool and the freezer did not freeze at all . I was extremely disappointed in this property and had I not been so upset and had things I had to do that morning I would have complained and tried to get my money back
