What guests think

At Hampton Inn Atlanta/Douglasville, travelers frequently praise the friendly, efficient staff, a convenient location near I-20 with easy access to restaurants and shopping, and a generally well-liked complimentary breakfast, making it a practical choice for stopovers or quick stays.

Renovations are a recurring theme, with construction causing noise, clutter, and temporary closures or limits on facilities. Room quality varies: some are spacious or updated, while others feel dated and have issues such as weak shower pressure or occasional equipment problems, and a few rooms lacked a microwave or fridge. Cleanliness feedback is inconsistent, with reports of odors or stains and a few pest sightings alongside many clean-room comments. Expect friendly service and a convenient stopover, but check renovation status if amenities matter.

They are doing some construction on site, so there is a little bit of clutter. The hotel is sandwiched between I-20 and a fairly busy road, so traffic noise can be an issue.

We had a great stay. This is my second time staying and it has been awesome. The hotel is clean even though they are renovating. This visit we used the pool and it was just what the kids needed. The pool is outside and it was skimmed and clean. The hotel was a great find for a small family going to Atlanta to enjoy the baseball game and Six Flags. Do they have room to improve of course but rooms and lobby are very well maintained. Great places to eat close by also, Outback, Mcdonalds, Applebees, and Wendys.

Property was under renovation at the time of our stay. Lobby/breakfast area is fully renovated and is quite nice. 1st floor still being renovated and is still a mess. We stayed on 3rd floor. Fully renovated but with some oddities. New carpet and fresh paint in the hallways. Room doors were not replaced but were painted. Our room door stuck because they didnt let the paint dry enough before closing it. Everything in the room was replaced excelt the bathtub and vanity cabinet. Weird choices, definitely a way to cut corners.

We were first given a room at smelled like mold, had a wet office chair and air conditioning issues. My kids refused to stay there and it made us all nauseated feeing. It became unbearable so I went down and asked for another room. They were great about getting it switched. My only real issue was that when I asked to switch, the employee voiced their concerns on others complaining about the room. If they knew that, why did they give us such a space that clearly had some issues going on. Very disappointing and irritated that we had to be given that experience to start our evening.

We stayed overnight and we were unimpressed. This is not what we expect from a Hampton Inn. The hotel is dated and in need of an overhaul. The bed is uncomfortable, breakfast is ok but could be better. The check-in staff were nice, check-in was quick and uneventful. Parking is terrible, but safe. The hotel is pet friendly despite the signage stating otherwise. Overall we rate this as an average hotel.

Air conditioning did not work was hot and the bed not that comfortable. Our room did not have a microwave or mini fridge. Water was very hot. Our room was towards the back, we can hear the highway traffic. We did not get to try the breakfast. The ice machine on our floor 3rd was broken. Other than that quite, I did like the small convenient store like in the lobby. They have refreshments for sale, snacks, pain relief pills and cleaning supplies spray small bottles but convenient.

We are originally from the Douglasville area. We came into town to visit family for the holiday and ended up having car problems. The stay at Hampton Inn was a bright spot in a Christmas vacation that went anything but as planned. The welcoming staff made the check in quick and painless for us and our fur-babies. Our room was clean and just as welcoming. We were able to sleep comfortably through the night with no loud noises that woke us or our fur-babies up. They never barked once during our stay. Thank you and the staff for making our bad vacation end on a bright note.

Overall, we considered this property and stay average for hotels. Beds were not very comfortable and room appearance was “ok”. No vent fan in the bathroom, which we found surprising. We also found the “we lock this door” sign on the main entrance a bit concerning. Apparently after dark the hotel is not located in a very safe area, or it could be just the city overall.

The hotel was hands down, one of the better ones I've stayed at. I visit Atlanta and the surround area frequently and this stay was beyond pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable, I have back issues but the bed was comfortable and the rest of the room very nice. The breakfast in the morning was the best I've had from a hotel in years. There was various options for food and drink, as well as cereal options, which are typically limited. It was excellent and I mentioned to my friends that I wouldn't mind staying again for our next trip. 12/10 would highly recommend.
