Motel 6-Buellton, CA - Solvang Area

Worst hotel I stayed. I chose this because it was kinda last min choice to stop by Solvang and there are only few pet friendly hotel left. I understand this is a cheap one and didn't expect 5-star suites but the condition was beyond terrible. Room was old and dirty and the worst part was the bathroom. Absolutely worst I seen in any hotel I stayed: 1. There is NO shampoo!! This is no joke. There are no shampoo in the room and they don't tell you about it! 2. There is no light over the shower so you have to shower under darkness. Shower is separated with wall and the light from toilet does not reach. 3. There is no dish tray in the shower, meaning that you have to hold the soap in your hand or put it on the shower floor while taking a shower. Absolutely ridiculous. 4. Tiles are old and dirty. especially the grouts, which are blackened due to poor cleaning and maintenance. Gross. 5. Strong urine smells along the hallway near the office 6. Really really cheap mattress, which is very uncomfortable. We were so tired after whole day walks and yet we couldn't get enough sleep. If you want dirty hotel that is so cheap that they do not even provide shampoo, this is one for you. Otherwise, do not bother. Stay away.

I want to leave a review: the room was dirty-there was dust on the shelves and the chairs were covered in grime-and the bathroom faucet was leaking so badly it was impossible to turn it on. I travel a lot, but I've never seen anything like this.

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience. The room had a strong, unpleasant smell, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Overall, the room did not feel clean, which made it very difficult to relax or feel comfortable. We were unable to get a good night’s sleep because of the condition of the room and how uncomfortable we felt during our stay. I’m sorry to say that based on our experience, I would not recommend this property.

Check in was simple and efficient. The room was clean and neat. Parking was narrow but sufficient. Air conditioning kept the room at a very comfortable temperature.

Better than average motel six room. Property in general seems fairly well-maintained. Excellent customer service by front desk clerk. Hot shower, TV with a good variety of stations, ice machine and vending machines near lobby. Free coffee in the morning. Conveniently located to Solvang, wine, country, Vandenberg, and the 101. My only complaint is the bed was unbelievably uncomfortable.
