Reviews of Motel 6-Grove City, OH describe a budget property with mixed experiences: some guests praise clean, simple rooms and friendly front-desk service, while others report cleanliness problems, smoke odors, pests, and a generally worn, run-down feel.

Room quality varies, with recurring maintenance problems, hard or lumpy beds, and occasional heating or AC troubles, but some find beds comfortable and value the in-room fridge and microwave. Cleanliness feedback is mixed, ranging from neat, mopped floors to reports of roaches or bedbugs and lingering smoke smells, sometimes even in nonsmoking rooms. Customer serving was good and friendly, the outside area heading to the room was just dirty dingy the stairs had a hornet's nest underneath it. The inside of the room was kind of decent bed was made they were stains on the sheets the flooring you had to stay with shoes on cuz it was not cleaned the toilet will have to be cleaned the bathtub needs to be redone it's extremely dingy and there you knew they didn't clean the room well because there were open soap packages on the towel bins by the sink. Out side there was a corner with soda cans being piled up. On top of that other motel Patriots just throwing their hands out their car in the parking lot.

Pros: Good location, clean room, convenient parking, refrigerator and microwave in the room. Cons: Too expensive, reception staff are very unfriendly, noisy from people hanging out in the parking lot. Rooms need updating.

Motel was VERY dirty. Tub has rings from previous guests shampoo bottles on the side of the tub. Bottom of the tub was black. You could tell that they had someone come in to "fix things up" but it was a very sloppy job. Towels were either not washed properly or were left in the room after another guest. They were white but has "smudge marks" and reeked of smoke. Someone was powerwashing the steps and peeling paint was all over the place and got all over our shoes and clothes when leaving the facility.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were neat, windows were dirty and Floors in multiple rooms on different days have been the same, dirty and neglected. Possible extended stay guests residing at hotel are messy, noisy, inconsiderate, and not very friendly, adding a negative experience to most stays.

Room was as stated. Clean, bed comfortable, nice over all. Advised they need to spray again as a baby roach was on the sink when i came out the shower but that can happen at the cleanest of places.

The facility shows some signs of aging with slight buildup in corners. However, the floors are not carpeted, which is a huge plus for anyone with allergies or who hates walking on old carpeting. The floors are apparently mopped daily and were spotless. The shower was one of the better ones we have found on our travels with better than average water pressure. The mattress on the bed slid around a bit with moving around ( getting up and down, changing positions) but was otherwise comfortable. To the rooms is fromthe outside. During our stay, a storm developed with dark skies. The lights in the stairwell did not come on which presented a bit of a problem for my husband who has extremely poor vision and some mobility issues. Entry

The place is infested with roaches. We had to sleep with the lights on because when you turned the lights out the roaches covered and I do mean covered the bathroom sink. We had a tote on the floor and lifted it up, about 20-30 roaches ran out from underneath of it as well. There are people with young kids living there and they were out in the parking lot playing until 9:30pm. SCREAMING at the top of their lungs.

The front desk service was friendly and amazing, the room appeared clean and comfy. When we went to bed though, we became very itchy immediately, and found little black bugs throughout the bed. We were there with a full sports team, and didn’t want to move, so we just blew up an air mattress and stayed away from the bed

Everything in the room worked. We had no issues with anything. Except the squeaky door next to us that was opened and closed several times during the night. It wasn't an exceptional place to stay and they could have used professional painters on the interior, but it was clean and neat. No bugs or other critters were in the room, and the room was fairly large. A pleasant stay.

To a degree, you get what you pay for it was cheap but there were issues right away. My King bed I booked was unavailable even after I called morning of. I believe they double booked it. Second day, my door lock malfunctioned and I could not access my things for a full day until night shift arrived to manually unlock it. I would not expect much from this establishment, but if you're looking for a cheap stay, it's good enough.

While the room was pretty clean, the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable, and we are used to shampoo samples, which were non-existent. The parking lot was well lit, and though we worried about break-ins, all went well. The young lady that checked us in was very pleasant and did her best to be accomodating. A wifi password card should be placed in the room, as the office was closed by the time we needed the password.

Terrible service! We needed to stay somewhere because storms had knocked out the electricity in our area and we needed somewhere safe for our baby. Check in was a nightmare. I made the reservation while I was at work so that my family could check in. The individual with whom my wife spoke was rude and dismissive. Ultimately, I had to leave work, drive to the motel and check in myself just to find the rooms claustrophobic, and in poor condition. Thank goodness our power was restored and we didn't have to spend an entire night in this pit. You work hard for your money. Spend it elsewhere.

The only really bad thing was the check in. We arrived right before 10 pm and they had already cancelled our reservation. Expedia has checkin listed as midnight, but they said that’s not their policy. They then offered to still rent us the room for about $30 more than the original cost through Expedia. When I complained they then lowered it back down to the original price. I had really liked this hotel and had planned to use it as my main hotel in the area since I travel as an artist to events but with so many other options I’m just going to try somewhere new.

Never even checked in. I understand having rules but if that\'s the case you have to follow them all the time. Only 2 weeks ago the front desk attendant let me check in a little earlier as opposed to sitting in the car waiting for 3pm. This time simple ass at the desk(different lady) was feeling herself & just wanted to say no. Even had never to ask "again" as if we\'d gone thru this nonsense previously when I\'d never seen this chick before in my life. Tired of waiting in the car so I went to the casino & found something else to do, somewhere else to spend my money. Sat so long I seen housekeeping clean multiple rooms that were available but simple ass just wanted to be in charge & say no so I left

When traveling with large dogs, hotel options are limited. Knowing that the Ritz Carlton isn't large pet friendly, we were just shooting for a clean room in a safe neighborhood. This hotel checked those boxes. No complaints based on reasonable expectations of a sub $100/night hotel. Great quiet area around the hotel to walk you dogs.

Law enforcement is always in the area patrolling, been here for 4 hours and ive seen them 3 times already, even in the parking lot.
