It advertised as restaurant and bar. I guess I thought it would be a normal situation of that. However, when we got there at 4 pm it wasn’t open and wasn’t going to open until 6. When I asked about it the front desk said they’ll just be happy they have someone that wants to eat. ?? Not exactly a great plug for their food. It also said pool and spa… no spa. When I asked they said they took it out years ago.

We were in room 400 and the bathroom fan and hairdryer were sooooo loud. The room was comfortable. The ice machine is not working on the 4th floor so you have to go to the first floor . The coffee in the lobby was cold. These are nit picking things. The hotel is next to a nice Walmart. Lots of shopping in the area and restaurants.

I did get an email after I booked that stated there was construction going on. However, it also should have stated there was no pool. And no spa which was advertised. It's actually written on the wall to the pool.

Staff was great. Breakfast was great but not free. Room was comfortable. Parts were under renovation, like the elevator and pool area. It would be nice to slightly lower pricing as a result, or even free breakfast instead of paid breakfast, but the room and dining areas were nice. This is the only hotel I've had to pay extra for Breakfast that Ive stayed at in the past 8 months, but I would still stay there again for the comfort of the room.

This is our 3rd trip to Mystic and we like to stay at this hotel for the location. We didn’t know it was under construction until I received the confirmation booking. I know Hilton did their best not to inconvenience guests but it was not a relaxing stay. The water pressure in our shower was poor. We did report it, the maintenance man was friendly but couldn’t resolve the problem. It’s obvious he is overwhelmed as he expressed frustration with so many problems. He was going to file a report but this didn’t do us any good. The pool was way too cold for an indoor pool. Several guests got in and out immediately, so did my husband. It was not relaxing or comfortable. Workmen were frequently in the pool area working.

There was no a/c in the lobby (and apparently it’s been broken for several days). It was not possible to have dinner in the restaurant because it was so uncomfortable. It’s 2024—how could there not be a couple of USB ports in the room? The freezer part of the refrigerator was so frozen over, I could not an ice pack in it. When we checked in, the manager at the desk was so unfamiliar with the area that he could not recommend a place for dinner and the printed list was unreadable.

I thought for the price and it being a Hilton it would be a lot nicer. You can tell the bathroom floor was not mopped. The room had a weird smell. The mattresses were not as comfortable as other Hiltons I’ve stayed at. It didn’t have as many soap's and toiletries( it’s the little things that make a Hilton nicer) A bit out dated especially the bathroom. We heard some loud banging like doors being slammed. Not as sound proofed as other Hiltons. The room looked like an average 2star- Best Western or Days Inn, which if we didn’t pay so much would be acceptable.

Staff were brilliant, especially the lady on reception when we checked in late afternoon on 8th August and Debbie at breakfast. The small pool was fun for the kids and Walmart next door was handy. The sofa bed wasn’t the greatest (and wasn’t made up when we arrived with our kids) and the carpet area around the kitchenette was stained. Also, we could have done with a couple of plates and some cutlery with the kitchenette. The laundry facilities didn’t feel that clean and was quite expensive. Overall, a good option as a one night stopover.

The only issue I had with the hotel was the bathroom. Mostly the shower and tub, but also the toilet. The shower head was difficult to adjust and had yellowing plastic. The tub rim was super high off the ground and difficult to step up into and I am 6 feet tall and it was very difficult to get into for my 5 foot tall wife. We each thought we were going to slip and fall every time we got in or out. The shower curtain let water go all over the floor even though I was trying not to let that happen. The toilet seat was misaligned with toilet rim and it slipped around when sitting on it. Also, the door to the room and all of the non automatic exterior doors of the property didn’t quite line up with the door latches and made opening and shutting all doors very difficult and very loud. Everything else about the room and stay were great. Every employee was super courteous and helpful. Just some issues with the property that need to be brought up since I paid almost 700 for a two night stay. I have no problem paying for quality. But paying that much and getting the physical quality of the property that we got doesn’t sit right with me. I am not the type to whine or leave negative reviews for places I go, but I was very dissatisfied with the bathroom and the exterior doors.

This is a beautiful hotel. Our bed was really nice (not too firm, not too soft). The glass shower doors both slide, but there’s a wide space between them and no matter which way we placed them, water would spray out on the bathroom floor. We can’t speak to the quality of the breakfast because we chose to take our Pop Tarts rather than purchase their breakfast. There was complimentary coffee, though.

We had to be moved two times. This a newly renovated property, has not been checked for problems. First room the door would not lock, second room the toilet toggle was off, so I could not flush the toilet. Third room, the walls are so thin I could hear the person in the next room snoring all night. This is worst experience I have ever had at Hilton property.

I was asked for my credit card at Check in. Later in the day I received a notification from my credit card that I was charged $382 for hotel. I had pre-paid this stay. The lady at front desk could reverse charges because she said she was a trainee. Ask me to what till 11:00 pm. for an experienced personnel. I returned to the front desk at 11:20 pm and was informed the employee hadn’t shown up yet for work. The employee was apologetic and told me to return in the morning. None in the shower either. There were no cups to use to take pills or rinse your mouth after brushing. The food in the restaurant was very good, and service excellent. Coffee was hot ad fresh. The bar was small but very nice, and the outside fire pit was really nice in the evening. Would recommend, great location too.
