Gold Star Inn & Suites

The hotel itself is clean enough, though definitely dated and in need of some attention. I will include pictures so you can see what I mean. I stayed for 2 nights. I wasn't going to get to the hotel til around 8 pm, and called to make the hotel aware of the later arrival time. The gentleman who answered the phone was only concerned with running my credit card while I was on the phone. When I arrived, the woman at the counter tried to charge me again. The next morning, I left my suitcase and computer on the bed. When I returned to the room, my belongings had been moved for the bed to be made. On the final morning of my stay, I had no hot water for a shower. I called the front desk and was told that she would look into it. I called again about 10 minutes later to find out what she had found. She rudely replied, "10 minutes, 10 minutes." I called about 30 minutes later because there was still no hot water, but the front desk did not answer. At that point, I reached out to the booking site for assistance. They were able to reach the hotel, who explained that they had run out of hot water because there were too many guests and refused to provide a partial refund for the inconvenience. Hotels.com did issue a small credit to my account to use on a future booking. That booking will not be with the Gold Star Inn & Suites.

My wife and I enjoy Gold Star Inn. Anytime we go to Connecticut, I try to get a room there.

Absolutely awful and dirty. Will not return

The hotel was very clean. The staff was nice. My only complaint, is there wasn’t a coffee maker in the room!

This is an outstanding place to stay there are very helpful at the front desk and anytime you needed help they were there the cleaner rooms everyday
