Hampton Inn & Suites Bakersfield North-Airport

They didnt honor their park and ride agreement with me. I was told they would drop me off AND bring me back to my car on my return a week later. Aged 68, i ended up walking for 30 minutes back to the hotel. When i made a complaint to the clerk on my 3AM arrival, he said they would only pick me up at the airport if i was staying on my return. Ive never seen a park and ride work that way. I'll choose a other nearby hotel for my next trip

Staff upon arrival said they pay for taxi to airport instead of shuttle which they no longer have. In the morning, different staff said i had to pay. I would not have stayed there if no translortation service!!! Man at desk was threatening.

Elevator didn’t go passed the 2nd floor

Advertised airport shuttle was main reason for reservations. The room is clean and comfortable. Check in was quick and easy with professional staff.

Hotel staff were lovely and helpful. Area was quiet and there was plenty of parking. Room was a bit smaller than average. Hot water was plentiful, water pressure excellent. Rooms not fully modernized...not yet updated but the beds were comfortable and I slept well. Breakfast was good...enough variety to get properly fueled for the day and coffee was brewed well...strong enough for a coffee addict like me. Would stay there again. Only real issue is that i chose a room that was listed on hotels.com as having two queens and a sofa bed only to find out there was no sofa bed and not much i could do other than adapt.

You need Lots More Security Pickup & Trailer were Stolen!!!

We appreciated the friendly service at check-in, prompt delivery of the rollaway bed and extra pillows, and during the breakfast. Our room and bathroom were very clean, as was the pool, and breakfast area. Thank you for the pleasant stay!!!

The staff are very good. I would say outstanding in delivering customer service, they are knowledgeable and confident. The hotel place is safe especially when i saw the sheriffs vehicle makes rounds in the area. This is the only hotel that service a from and to a shuttle airport. It was very convenient. Breakfast is served on time and well organized and clean.

Clean Property, included cab to and from the airport, and could keep car in covered parking area.

Check in was very easy. The staff was able to schedule my shuttle to take us to the airport.

The carpet was past dirty. I only had bare feet after arriving to our room and when I got into the shower I left dirty footprints. Also big spot by window and the area where folks walked was way darker than edges. The cleaning staff did as good a job as they possibly could given the condition of the room

The room had a dirty desk chair. The desk chair would not roll. The toilet would not flush consistently. The glass shower doors at the bottom was crusty, but the staff was very good and professional.

We had stayed there before and had a good stay. This time the first room they gave us 406 had bed bugs. We notified the front desk and they moved us to a room that did not have bed bugs but carpet was very dirty.

there was dried urine on the bathroom floor - I had to clean it! I showed pictures to the front desk and they said, ooo, thats not good. Did not offer any discount. obviously the housekeepers do not mop the bathroom floors. Yuck.

When we arrived at our first room, the beds were made, but the bathroom had dirty towels on the floor from the last guests. The receptionist upgraded us to a suite which was much better and more accessible. However, our room received no housekeeping during our 2 night stay. Breakfast was very good and the dining area was well stocked and very clean. The selection was very good.

It was quiet and they had plenty of parking. When I checked into my room the bathroom shower had quite a bit of hair left over from the last guest. Also you really need a car if you want to explore the city.

Bugs/ants in the room and on the toilet. Crumbs on the floor near the bed.

Stayed there two weeks previous on an upper floor and stay was excellent. This time we were on the first floor and the room was awful. There was a used Que tip next to the toilet, and a used bar of soup under the vanity. The drapes couldn’t close because half the drape was off the track. We couldn't set the air to 73° because anything over 72° caused the heat to turn on, it was August. Was so disappointed after the wonderful experience of two weeks earlier.

Air conditioning is very loud could not sleep have to change the room,the bed and bed frame are very poor conditions

This hotel feels decades older than it really is. Wifi was inoperative, etc. No major issues, just that feeling of a facility way past its prime.

ROOM was in terrible shape. Refrigerator did not work; shears at window were torn from top to bottom. Shower door was moldy; the bathroom in general was in bad shape. Looked like a leak from the floor above was badly plugged and not even plastered over. And finally the sheets and the comforter on the bed were for a queen bed and it was a king bed—so everything was too small on the bed.

Room is well worn.

Close to Bakersfield Airport… Very Dated Property… Owners have not kept up to Hampton Inn high standards. Room furniture worn and stained, Dirty Bathroom Floors upon check-in. Bed was too hard. Positives: Great breakfast and service at the front desk. Great shower and water pressure!

Clean but Roos are very worn and out of date. Staff was beyond nice and helpful.

The room was not very clean! Spots all over the ceiling. Bed was probably the hardest and most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in at a hotel!

Noise from upstairs room. Called front desk. Nothing happened. Never asked if I wanted to change rooms. Got woken up at 0430 by car alarm. Front desk said “yeah it’s been going off for 20 minutes.” I guess he never thought to call the room and tell them to silence their alarm. Told Megan at the front desk about my stay and she replied “So us there anything else that was in my control?” Sarcastic and rude. She shouldn’t be in the service industry. I wouldn’t stay here.

I loved the size of the room. The bed was comfortable.

Narciso the front desk “supervisor” ruined what could have otherwise been a great weekend. We booked 1 night thru Expedia but woke up feeling under the weather so called [front desk] at 10am to request a late check-out, we were told no, reason being that it was too late. We then requested to extend our stay, we could book thru Expedia again or thru the hotel. We decided directly with them out of convenience but he tells me I have to go down to the front desk to check-in. I say ok I’ll book with Expedia, he says you still have to come check-in. I say ok can you give me a couple hours I’m not feeling well but I’ll book and pay for the room right now. His response is you are already turning into a headache.I say ok then just charge me for the late check-out a full days rate if you must but please I just need 2 hours. He answers Are you refusing to leave.I say no I’m trying to pay for an extra night or for an extended later check-out or for a curtesy late check-out, I’m not asking you for anything free, you have my credit card on file, I’m not feeling well, tell me which option will allow me to come to the front desk later. He says I’m refusing service, you need to leave now. I have a right to refuse service and now you can’t stay. Clearly, he had no concern for his health or the health of other guests so my husband very concerned for mine went to the front desk and Narciso said I’m refusing service,[why?,] bc he didn’t like my tone he said. BTW this hotel offers Digital Key

Great smiles and customer service

I’m giving this place a high rating because of the friendliness of the staff especially the gentleman that checked us in whose name was Michael. He was so friendly and accommodating and even when I checked out the following day he was still just as friendly. Everybody should be Just as amazing as he is and Hilton should use him as an example.

Great location near Highway 99. Staff was outstanding. Very nice room. Just what we expect from Hampton.

The staff was friendly and made the check in easy. The wonderful staff (Sunday Morning and Evening) helped us out in a pinch. They graciously went up to our checked out room and retrieved our ear buds. After I set up a pick up with UPS, they made sure to get them ready and provide to UPS. Breakfast was great. Mattress a little tough.

Reception staff excellent Room preparation left something to be desired

I’ve been staying at this hotel for a few years now, when I come into Bakersfield. The staff is always very friendly at the front desk. I’ve only had one small issue in the staff was quick to rectify it. I come here often to see my grandchildren, and I will continue to come here. I would highly recommend this place.

The young man at the front desk was very friendly and super helpful and professional. He didn’t read my room number out loud which I appreciate being that there was people behind me waiting. Nice room, clean and comfortable sound seems to travel easy throughout the hotel but other than that great stay! Would stay here again.

Convenient and close to the airport. Plenty of options for restaurants nearby.

Quiet and safe, close to the downtown.

The surrounding area did not feel safe. The location was good.

Hampton Inn made my stay a wonderful experience. My fight was delayed several times, which made my arrival after dark. They provided assistance on transportation from the airport, the hotel clerk was very hospitable and informative. My room was clean, very roomy and comfortable. There are several establishments within walking distance to grab a meal, I felt safe at this location and would definitely stay here again.

Everything was great. The room was quiet and comfortable and the breakfast was very nice.

Place was not well maintained: all doors in the room were loudly squeaky, bathtub drained slowly, sink drained slowly. Breakfast was missing some expected items. Compared to the holiday inn express we stayed at the night before, the shortcomings (particularly breakfast), were pretty glaring. Hampton in general needs to step up its game.

The room was okay but coffee pot didn’t work they brought another but part was missing so no coffee Breakfast of eggs and sausage was terrible tasted like chemicals Toast and yogurt is all that was good Pool was nice

Service is excellent as is the breakfast buffet. The hotel itself is dated and in need of an upgrade.

The bed was so hard it hurt my back and hips. My man's back still hurts from it. The eggs on day 1 sat there su long they were lumpy and hard. The turkey sausage wasn't cooked. Day 2 had delicious omelets and potatoes.
