Great service but elevator was not working and it was dirty

They were under construction. Room was clean but smelled of cigarette smoke. No indoor pool. Breakfast was dismal. Pictures on website are misleading. Housekeeping staff was friendly. Front desk staff not really. Smoke alarms in lobby and common areas were covered the entire visit with plastic bowls and tape. Glad we didn't have a fire.

The photos of this property on Expedia are fake! This property has absolutely no hot tub and no indoor pool. This is one of the main reasons I booked at this property, as the hot tub and pool was supposed to be part of our weekend birthday party plans. In addtion, the breakfast offered was the worst presentation and quality I have ever experienced at a LaQinta or Wyndham. Though the price was a fair price it was not worth the subpar experience. When I return to San Antonio in the further I will not stay at this property nor will I take a chance at another Wyndham.

The pool was very dirty and didn't get cleaned till Sat noon or so. The exercise room was being used for storage and machines were not connected. Other than that stay was decent.

The Hotel is undergoing major renovations and should not be taking guests at this time. The lobby is gutted and a complete mess. The room we were given is not complete in the remodel. The walls were bare, no accent furniture, and the bed was more like a temporary cot. The room was not clean and looked unfinished. A major disappointment to say the least!

The hotel is in a nice location. The front desk was friendly. The room was nice and clean. However, The elevator kept malfunctioning during our stay. So it was challenging at time being that we were on the 2nd floor. Toting luggage and kids down the stairs was not good.

Lack of parking lot security. My vehicle has been broken into on two separate occasion while staying at this hotel within a timespan of a couple of months. Front desk says they have security yet staff does nothing to help, checks no cameras, offers zero help. Horrible experience.

The hotel was under construction. We arrived around 10 pm. There was a sign to go around the side door. When we got to the side door another sign read to use a key card to open the side door. Now, we obviously didn’t have one. We finally went back to the front door. We were able to get in. However there was no clerk. It took a while before the clerk came to the desk. Then, we were informed that breakfast was only “bread and juice”. We were upset because the conditions of the hotel and lack of a real breakfast was not advertised beforehand. The room was remodeled but the shade for the main window did not go all the way to the bottom of the window. It was not jammed nor broken. It was too short. We were on the first floor with a good 4 inch gap where the window shade did not cover the window. There was also a gap between the door frame and the door. It was big enough that someone could slide something in the doorframe to break in the room. There also was a loud banging and booming noise every hour or so throughout the night. We did not get much sleep. The workmanship- painting etc in the bathroom was bad. It is a shame the hotel is paying money to remodel and the work is bad. Overall, it was not a good stay, and we will not return. We placed the key card on the desk as we left because again, no one was around.

The pool didn't look like your want to let your family swim in. It was extremely cloudy to where the bottom couldn't hardly be seen.

We did not feel comfortable staying here at all! We actually didn’t stay the night. That’s how bad it was. The place smelled like urine and mold. There was a couch in the room but it was soooo dirty and stained. I mean it looked like it should have been in the junk yard. The shower had a hair in it. We didn’t stay there. We ended up leaving and booking somewhere else. No way we were staying. The smell alone was so bad!

The entire hotel had a horrible smell, and the sheets were dirty and have stains all over them

Couch was filthy - needed to cover it with a sheet to sit on it.. had to ask for additional towel, only one in the room. The AC Unit sounded like it was going to blow up

Staff was friendly but the place over all is very dirty. Pillowcases had stains on them and the room smelled like wet clothes. I would not be staying at La Quinta inn anymore.

Shower dirty, bathroom floor had hair, sheets were dirty and turned inside out. We itched during our stay.

Room definitely felt neglected. Poorly cleaned, needs repairs (door damage due to type of security lock, missing lock button on bathroom door, poorly painted walls, rusty equipment (luggage stool & clothes butler stand), poor water flow, dirty shower). We had a roach in the room and what looked like roach or bed bug poos on linens, breakfast was highly limited and just gross, door key was deactivated before 11 am and it was a noisy area at night due to dogs left alone in room barking, traffic and construction.am, locking me out of room. poo

There was hair stuck in the bath wall and the bathtub drain was clogged with a ball of hairs which was a horrible sight to see and clean ourselves. There were towels with love stains, I never use hotel towels for that reason but I never imagined I would experience this one day. When I moved the towels out of the way I noticed some were dirty and one of them literally had love stains on it, so gross. They need to really check that once in a while.

Yes room was very dirty and neglected. There were roaches in the room. The smell in the rooms were very bad. I had to change rooms but the other one they put me in was about the same smell wise. Very disappointed. Staff was alright, not very welcoming and just very below basic. I will never stay there again and would be happy if there could be a partial or complete refund. Breakfast was not good, waffle mix was watered down. Very very disappointing.

They had some renovations in the rooms, but what people most want in a hotel room is a clean place and a comfortable bed. The bathroom had mold, and was dirty all over. Also the sheets were stained, some of the stains even looked like blood. If I could give a tip to the managers it would be: invest in a better cleaning crew that will deep clean every little part and grooves, hire a real contractor for the next renovations(it is worst than DIY) and please replace the sheets, towels, mattresses and pillows to a much more quality and comfortable ones.

The staff is not helpful. The coffee in the main area was watered down. Areas need to be cleaned more often. Water pressure was extremely low and cold water was only available in the sink & shower. Carpet was wet in areas and not all of the outlets worked in the room. Lastly there was a roach found crawling on the tv stand.

Good location. The room was noisy, the AC was noisy, being close to the elevator was noisy. The bed was comfy. The shower had very low water pressure. Had to get my own coffee stuff it was not replenished by the cleaning staff.

Room was spacious but TV did not work and I did not get help from front desk.

Our only complaint, is the internet and tv options! The internet isn’t very reliable.

Honestly if not for the location, this review would be much worse. The bed was uncomfortable... hard, while also somehow soft enough to cave in to the middle. The window had a giant smudge of some type of body part. Check in was difficult. Paid for early check in, was given issues when i arrived. Even with w smart TVs in the room, neither of them would connect to the internet to allow streaming. Plug by the bed didnt work. Shower looked grimy. When trying to lay down, the noises from the slamming doors in the hallway and the stomping upstairs neighbors was almost too much to deal with. Luckily i was exhausted. Aside from all of the other things, just the lack of care shown in their renovations gives true meaning to "polishing a turd". I will find hotels in this same location, but i will not be staying here again. Ending on a good note, there was security in the parking lot at night... or just a random guy. Not really sure.

It was an okay stay. Other guests were loud/running around their rooms (stomping) and in the hallways. This caused us to not sleep the second night of our stay. Guests were also fighting a few rooms down and were yelling/screaming. They then started to fight in the parking lot area by screaming and attempting to drive off leaving one of their party behind. I wish we could have received some sort of discount or future credit for this inconvenience.

Everything was fine except the internet kept cutting out on the TV when trying to watch a movie. The breakfast could have been better too

I booked the king suit for a week stay in San Antonio North Stone Oak area, which had two tv's large mini fridge and microwave. T.V. in front of the bed and one in front of the sofa area above the desk. The room was spacious and recently/modernly updated however the tv in front of the bed only had sound coming from it, no picture. It's nice to be able to unwind at the end of the day and zone out to the tv sometimes. I asked 5 times with front desk staff to get a maintenance person out to fix it and was assured each time someone would come but they failed to send someone every time. I gave up asking. Bed was cozy at first but way too firm and by day 3 my lower back was killing me! The pillows however were lovely and plan to buy some for my bed at home. Staff otherwise was friendly and helpful besides fixing the issue with the broken tv. Probably wouldn't stay here again unless it was the last place available. But overall it served it's purpose.

To begin with, I had already paid for my stay. When I checked in I was charged $100 for deposit. I still don’t get it back. Then, the restroom door did not close, the water pressure on the shower was so low I took a while to shower. The AC made a horrible noise all night and a lot of humidity. Finally, I was told that breakfast started at 6:30am, I went at 7am EVERYTHING WAS GONE. I asked if they were going to bring out more food and the front desk guy said no. Horrible stay. Never again

The breakfast was just as described by others— it’s better than the basic complimentary breakfast but I noticed staff wasn’t quick to refill foods more so on weekdays. The reason I gave them only 3 stars is because I didn’t care for staff not being welcoming or smiling— and I was there for 5 nights. Only the guy who worked nights smiled and greeted us and the man housekeeper was nice too. Also it made me anxious when the elevator was not working 2-3x during our stay. But you get what you pay for and since I’m broke.. I’d probably stay at this place again for its price.

The receptionist in the morning and afternoon are very rude. The towels in room had blood and I called the from desk and the told me I had to go downstairs and the towels and I just had surgery on my right foot. Plus there was no toilet paper in the restroom. And I still haven’t received my $100.00 pet deposit

Everything was fine except the $100 fee charged. 8 only stayed one night and I still have not gotten my cash back. That’s the only downside.

We were checking in with our two kids and the owner upgraded us to a bigger room to accommodate us. This hotel is great!

Still not sure we got our 100 dollars back on our credit card as promised. He said it would take abt 4-5 days. The $100 was a deposit which was not advertised.

Location was great for my trip. Hotel looked good but there was a few cosmetic items that needed looking after, Breakfast was better than average. Only problem I had was when you turned on the bathroom light the very noisy ceiling fan also came on, there was not a separate switch for the fan and I did not enjoy the noise in the very early morning! Victor checked us in and he was very helpful, nice and pleasant.

Front desk was friendly and helpful room was clean, Smart TV but overall plain looking good for a late one night stay spent most of the day not in the room just needed a place to sleep.

The stay was great for the price. In the area for surgery and very convenient location for that. Close to food outlets and we were able to extend check out time to accommodate release from hospital.

The bed was amazing and the toiletries. Breakfast was too limited.

Room was ok. Clean except the shower floor was stained. Breakfast started at 6. Got there 630. Eggs and sausage were still frozen in the serving tin. The toaster and microwave were broken. Waffle maker worked. Sucks to complain about a free breakfast but don't advertise it if you can't come through.

Worst hotel breakfast I’ve ever had.

Very clean and comfortable. The only thing I would suggest working on is the continental breakfast. Yes it’s free, but it’s also not great. Eggs were soggy, sausage was cold and sitting in liquid. Gravy was watered down. Just wasn’t the best hotel breakfast I’ve had, even if it was included.

In fairness the hotel is undergoing a renovation. Our room was clean and comfortable. That was the good. Not so good was the shower. The water pressure was very weak. Also, there was no channel guide for the TV and you had to go channel to channel to find anything. Lastly, the breakfast offering of egg disks and sausage disks floating in water was a disappointment. I'd choose another hotel in this area for the time being.

New facility, very clean. Minimally appointed. Breakfast very limited, but McMuffins not too far away. No cable TV networks in rooms. Great place to stay if you need a satisfactory place to sleep. Easy to get to. No frills, no thrills. A step..maybe two…up from the 6.

The breakfast was horrible. Threw it away and went to Whataburger. Coffee was barely warm and super strong.9
