Birch Hill Suites Dayton-WP AFB

This property isnt really a motel for travelers but more for folks looking to live in a housing unit. There was no signage on the building to let someone know they found the right place.There were many dogs, with some leaving dog manure in the hallway. The tv didnt have a remote. The front desk personnel was non-existant except for check in. I should have had a clue when I was given the chance to inspect the room in advance. The door to ourside never locked. If this was my first booking with Expedia, I would never use the app again.

Room had the bare essentials and was clean but it did not have any paper towels or paper cups for water. There were dogs allowed in the rooms which we didnt know before we booked and they barked loudly as the owners yelled.Walls so thin we heard water drawn in next room. All floors were noisy and cold with no carpets.

We normally never leave reviews, but this was really weird. From the front appearance, the place looked fine. Once we checked in though, we immediately got that "cheap motel" vibe. It seemed like one of those hotels that is half full of full time residents. There were bikes outside chained to trees. A van on blocks in the lot. Totally had that halfway house feel. At 10:00pm you could hear people arguing and dogs barking down the hall. The bed was absolutely horrible. Just a mattress on a stand and two pillows. No headboard. The floors were sticky. The shower was disgusting. We generally make a bug search at every hotel and we saw no signs of that at all. We just had that "What did we get ourselves into" feeling until we left. I will say the staff were friendly though and it was priced very low. Our other options were all booked up for the night.

Didnt stay when i got tgere the office was closed and no way to check in

The smell in the elevators and hallway was a mixture of body odor, and poop. It was pretty bad. So much so that I took the stairs from the 3rd floor at the end of the hall down to a side exit just to escape having to go through it more than I had to.

Property is in dire need of maintenance and repairs, hall ways were filthy and smelled like pot, and lots of vagrants wondering around the parking lot.

Your responsible to remove own trash to dumpster and no trashcan in room was my only problem. room, refrigerator,stovetop and microwave clean no oven no dishes very pet friendly just needs more green space to walk dogs.. reason not 5 star rated is nothing is perfect but I rated everything fairly

I booked this hotel for a short stay between work shifts. I had a 5-hour gap and didn’t want to spend an hour driving home and back just to end up more tired. The goal was simple: get some decent rest, avoid exhaustion, and be safe on the road. While the location was convenient, the stay was far from restful. The room was very noisy. I could hear constant stomping from the guest above me, and it literally sounded like they were moving furniture after midnight. On top of that, there were barking dogs that made it hard to relax at all. Another major issue was the lack of proper blackout curtains and the bright parking lot lights poured in all night, making it hard to fall — or stay — asleep. The bedding was also cheap and flimsy, to the point where I felt the need to go out and buy my own just to feel remotely comfortable. In the end, I left and drove home anyway, only getting about **1 hour and 40 minutes of sleep total — completely defeating the purpose of booking the room in the first place. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this stay. If you're looking for rest and recovery, this isn’t the place to find it. ---

Dogs barking for hours, bathroom amenities next to nothing

Door lock hardly latch, i have to lift the door up to make it latch. Place smells bad. Next door has dig that barks loudly. Hallway floor is filthy.

Birch Hill Suites was the Motel 6 of extended stay hotels. The entry sign said "No Smoking" but the lobby smelled strong of cigarettes when we checked in, and we could smell them in the hallways. We could see particles of debris on the floor in our room. My socks were dirty after walking across it. The room comes with no kitchen amenities, I provided all my own utensils, even my own coffee pot. The best thing in the room was the small table with 2 chairs.

Bathroom was filthy. Toilet seat also broken and taped together.

The picture of the room looks like it is an efficiency with a stove,full size refrigerator ,kitchen sink and a microwave. They had no utensils or dishes . Not even a hair dryer! Dropped a little water on the floor and when I wiped it up the paper towel was black!

Property has roaches. Stayed a month and never had housekeeping come to our room for anything. (I bought cleaning materials, exchanged our towels and bedding) Very unfriendly staff. Dog poop all over in the grassy area. Garbage always piled up. Manager will only take time out for you if you voice your unhappiness. Their right hand doesn't know what their left is doing.

The staff was friendly. Outside and inside was kept up well. The room could have used a better cleaning especially the floor and dusting. The stove top was missing a knob and cigarette burns on the counter tops. The pillows definitely could be upgraded and there were no blanket on the bed. Overall, a decent place just bring pillows and a blanket.

There was a baby screaming all night long and then a maintence man did a random walk in in our room while my girlfriend was naked

Expedia charged my credit card and Suburban charged my credit card. I was double billed.

My room 138, had an intense fragrance. The fragrance was probably to mask old cigarette smoke odor; I was getting random wiffs of cigarette smoke throughout the night. The bed and bathroom were clean. The floor looked clean. The neighboring clients were sketchy acting and I wouldn't say I felt "safe"

My vehicle would have been more comfortable. Dogs constantly barking. The place was full of shady people. Was afraid to go out after dark
