Extended Stay America Suites - Columbia - Columbia Corporate Park

I should have read the reviews!!!!!! I needed a place to shower and nap between events I had planned in the area. Check in went okay because on the day of my reservation I was told that there were only 2 housekeepers on staff, and my room may not be available. Once checked in and getting into my room, I discovered that the laminate on bathroom wall was discolored, black/gray stains on the towels and a stain on the sheets. I didn’t complain to the staff as I had no plans of staying overnight. I am grateful that I had shower shoes & that I didn’t NEED to use the linens. The positives are that the parking is convenient, the location is close to shopping, restaurants and other activities, and the price is competitive.

There was not a means to indicate on the reservation that I was bringing pets, which likely is a deficiency on the Expedia side. Not having that function obscures the true cost of the stay. I understand that most facilities would have a pet fee, however I was surprised that the facility charged $26/pet/day - adding over $100 to the cost of my 2-night stay. The bed in the room did not have a blanket. Unfortunately for us, my spouse & I did not notice the lack until we went to bed, at which point there was no one at the front desk (staffed only 7a - 11p). I was able to get a blanket the following day, however I had to explain to the front desk staff that I was not asking for an EXTRA blanket, I was asking for ANY blanket. The room also was lacking in toilet paper - we were greeted with only half of one roll. Again, it was only with reluctance that I was given another roll of TP. Again, I was not asking for EXTRA. At that point we had NONE AT ALL and had had to supplement with kleenex. Our room was near the end of the hallway on the top floor. I'd guess the housekeeping staff had run out of stuff on the cart, and just couldn't be bothered to restock and return. For that reason, I feel no guilt about leaving poo-laden kleenex in the wastebasket. The ice-cube trays in the freezer were empty. There is no ice machine in the facility. We had to get ice from a nearby grocery. I was also underwhelmed by an ESA in Timonium; I'll likely avoid this chain in the future.

We needed a kitchen in our week stay with our dog and it filled the bill! Comfortable bed in a separate room and very bright! Kitchen was minimal with only small stovetop burners with a tiny microwave but a huge refrigerator and a dishwasher. Didn’t initially have dishes, pots or utensils in the room. You needed to ask the front desk. Otherwise a good visit.

We have stayed at this property several times in the past year and found it a good value. Our most recent stay, in late December 2023, was a shockingly different experience. The bathroom was dirty - not cleaned before we arrived. The sink was stopped, the toilet was stopped, I corrected these problems myself, because there was only one staff person on premises and, though kindly, she had no ability to remedy. There was poor lighting in the bathroom, a lamp with dangerously loose wiring next to the bed, a bicycle that could not be adjusted in the exercise room, no cleaning supplies in the exercise room. I did contact the general manager several times, as instructed to do by the front desk staff person, but have gotten no reply. Therefore, I am leaving this review. Don't know what to say. These are solvable problems.

It took us long to check in. Then the room is old and disgusting. The bath shows some nasty rest. No ice, no water fountain. Their breakfast is only coffee which is not good for kids. Check out also not convenient because the office open at 7:00AM and to check out before 7:00AM will be troublesome. Overall not happy my stay.

We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the property. The floors were noticeably sticky, the exhaust fan was inoperable, and despite our request, the front desk refused to clean, citing a bi-weekly cleaning policy

This hotel is not welcoming, not clean, and not safe for anyone to stay at. We had to ring the bell and call the hotel for several minutes to get front desk staff to arrive. After finally checking in and getting to our room, the room smelled and the air tasted of something rotting. The entire floor and the furniture was sticky. There was a brown substance--that looked like and smelled like leaking sewage--on the bedroom (NOT the bathroom) floor. It took forever to get the front desk staff back to assist and all they could do was to give us our money back but that would take 7-10 business days. AWFUL experience. Would not recommend. The public health department should shut this place down.

The property was disgusting. Took multiple minutes just to get somebody to the front to check in. Once we got to the room, there were stains all over the carpet, shower had mold and stains all over the walls, and the bathroom floor had disgusting residue everywhere. Would not recommend this place. Stay some where else!!

Bathroom needs to be updated especially the tub and enclosure. Dirty. Hair in tub.

Very dirty. Towels and bedding were stained and place had a sour smell. The bathtub has a big blood stain that could not be removed by maintenance, so no shower available. Sold out so we couldn’t change rooms. This room was way too expensive to be in such distress. Never again. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED

Had roaches and the room smelled really bad. The carpet had the worse smell to it. Honestly 1st and last time staying at an extended stay. Thank God it was only a day

the whole place SMELLS LIKE SMOKE. The head board and wall around it were stained and marked up. The metal in the shower, toilet and sink was stained brown and black. Adjacent rooms looked as if People were living there. Kids being picked up by the school bus in front and in the parking lot. Tried changing rooms bug found bugs and more issues in the 2nd rom. Checked out next morning. DO NOT STAY HERE

People were sleeping in the parking lot. The fridge and stove were rusty and looked like they’ve been there from the 1960s. There was hair on the floors and counters. The floor itself was sticky, the bed was disheveled, there was spray on the furniture, there were stains on the carpet area, the bathroom was rusted and unclean, you could hear people on the hallways yelling and fighting. There was gunk on the remote. I left and went to the Hilton. Will not stay there

Not a Hilton. Reserved a king room, they didnt have one at check-in, so we were given a queen. Not a huge deal, but after a long drive, waiting for them to figure that out was annoying. Room was a bit shabby. There were burn marks on counters and hairballs behind the doors. Linens and towels were definitely clean though! Tub was TORN UP with the bottom and sides flaking and chipping in huge chunks. For the price, you get what you pay for. There was a full fridge, stove top, and microwave, so that was nice, but I wouldnt have walked barefoot on the carpet. Whole place smells like weed, but honestly, not sure what they can do about that. Also, heads up, breakfast is granola bars, muffins, and packets of instant oatmeal. The coffee is horrendous but there's a Dunkin close by! Dillal (I think was his name) was super super nice and helpful so shout out to him.

This hotel is in rough condition. Things broken in the room, bathroom door latch was hard to open, very few plugs. Could use an update.

This property has been ridden hard and put away wet!! Bathtub drips and cannot be turned off. Toilet runs wasting water. Refrigerator shelves missing. Cupboards in rough condition. Linens are threadbare. Towels has trim hanging off and should have been thrown away,.bathroom countertops are worn out!! Bed was comfortable. Very disappointed!

This hotel was booked last minute and it was adequate overall. The lobby area was clean and the reservation process was smooth. The room was fairly clean but outdated. You'll need to request dishes and utensils from the front desk. The downside was that there was no hot water or water pressure in the shower. We had to use a local gym for showers and it was inconvenient. But overall, it's solid but no frills

Under the normal circumstances, I have no problem staying here however, this particular experience I get a room with a bed that’s only 14 inches off the ground, talking about its accessible, accessible to who? Even a little person would have problems getting out of that bed. So they switched me to a different room the couch look like Freddy Krueger got to it, and the TV was positioned so the two beds couldn’t see it so I had to MacGyver that so that I could watch TV. For the amount of money that I spent it just wasn’t worth the experience so unless I get this hotel at 50 or $60 a night it’s not worth the time and energy even for one night. You’re better off staying at the one closer to Columbia 100 Parkway or going to the one over in the corporate park down the road. Not staying here again.

The rooms were very worn - although it was indeed clean. Apparently the shower curtain rod was repaired. There was sawdust all over the floor and tub in the bathroom and no shower curtain. This was disconcerting. The room was advertised as including breakfast. As it turned out, breakfast included granola bars and oatmeal (very limited) and coffee. Not what normally was is expected when "breakfast included" is advertised. I will not be returning

I booked this hotel over a month ago to attend a concert at Merriweather. A few days before, I went on the trip, I looked at the reviews and they were really bad. I got worried. It was too late to cancel, so I had fingers crossed. I wouldn't give this place a really bad review, I have definitely seen worse. But it, overall, could definitely use some updating. The staff was really nice, especially the front desk. I wish i could remember his name, he was very helpful and frieny. The room was ok. The bathroom is probably the least desirable. The tub doesn't drain properly and the water pressure isn't great. The room was a bit dusty, but overall acceptable. I'm not really one to complain and we were only there one night. We were lucky it was quiet on our section of the 3rd floor. But I can see why some previous guests have complained about the noise. I could hear loud music and talking early in the morning when I got off of the elevator. That would piss me off. I would say overall, I would give it an OK/good review. For the price, I would like it to be a little more updated and maybe more breakfast. The location is ok. It's a little complicated figuring out how to get to Merriweather. I woukd also recommended bringing your own toiletries, there wasnt much in the room. Also, there was no blanket for the pull out couch.

The people shouting on my floor was extremely loud and was under construction with broken elevators

The property lighting needs plenty of work. Hallways have a strong smell of marijuana. The room was ok, bed needed upgrade and pillow replaced.

Two things irritated us about our stay. First, the kitchen counter was very small and difficult to use because the refrigerator stuck out too far from the counter. Second, there were no lights in the living room area. From the pictures, an end table and lamp were missing. I asked to get a light, but never did although we were in the room for 8 days. We looked at other rooms, but they did not have dressers for clothing.

Poor management.

This is my third time visiting this hotel in the past two months, it's a great value for your money, the staff very friendly, great location , I will stay again in the same hotel on my next visit . I wish they serve better coffee in the morning,

It was difficult to find help at the front desk. We could often hear voices in back, but it took forever before we saw a person. No daily towels, cleaning, trash, etc. I was told that we could haul our trash outside if it is full. Barely any food food for breakfast. There were two granola bars on a shelf, coffee, and hot water. No water, juice, nothing...... The hallways and room had an unpleasant odor.

The Extended Stay Columbia Corporate location has shown us outstanding customer service! The General Manager M.K , and his team Korin and Nasir! My family and I are Extending our stay!!

We showed up after a long day only to find out that the hotel had over-booked, and we had no place to stay. We were left looking for another hotel at midnight. Unsuccessfully. The people at the hotel were no help there either. Wound up driving two and a half hours home. Total disaster. Never again. Only upside: Expedia got me a refund quickly.

The front desk clerk was unable to check us in and after 40 minutes of her trying we left. There was another guest sitting in the lobby waiting as well who said she waited 90 minutes and was finally checked in but her key didn’t open the room. It was after midnight when we left and there were children running around in the hall and the clerk answered two phone calls with noise complaints while trying to check us in. Would NOT stay here.

The staff who checked me in was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. I wass expecting more from the grab & go breakfast. The bathroom area was short of expectation. The location is great....overall a decent experience

Quiet area. Refrigerator was dirty, food left in the microwave that stank badly and permeated the room. The room had an Oder. Old/ chipped tub. Walls were dusty. Staff friendly an accommodating.

Quiet, at least on my hallway. Had a grocery store about a minute away. Quiet and seemingly safe area outside of hotel. Staff was nice. Bed was comfortable. A/C worked great. Deep big fridge. Big bathtub. TV swivels! Cons: Bathroom wasn't cleaned enough. Still pee on toilet between toilet seat gap. In the bowl of the toilet was dirty. Hallways of hotel were dark. "Breakfast" seemed to only be oatmeal and coffee.

The rooms were large and the beds were clean and comfortable but the rooms were in need of repair. There was a mousetrap in the kitchen area of my room that my dog nearly got her nose stuck in and there were cockroaches in my friend's bathroom. Our rooms were directly beside the courtyard and the smell of smoke and weed was overpowering and there was a lot of noise at all hours. The front desk staff were very polite and the surrounding area had a lot of nice shops and restaurants but we wouldn't stay again.

This property is in a great location central to the hustle and bustle of Columbia. The issue I have with this property is that there are several people that live there that make the entire property their home. Not much you can do about it because they are in the common areas, but I did watch this dude‘s dog piss on the wall and that’s not something we want to see his dog because we are already limited as it is and that just makes it bad for everybody.

Close to merriweather post

The desk front was professional and helpful - Excellent location- Great Stay overnight will use again!!

There were roaches in our room. Old furniture. Stains and chipping on table. Water did not get hot. Advertised breakfast. Barely continental. Breakfast bar and coffee/tea.

It was a place to spend the night after a concert. I only spent 1 night at this hotel. The breakfast was marginal.

Employees were courteous. Their "breakfast" is anything but. A muffin and cup of coffee is all they have. Room was ok but bathroom light was pretty dim. I would stay here again if by myself but would not bring my family here.

The carpet was sticky, as was the kitchen floor. Only one of two burners worked. They provide no cups, basic kitchen stock, and the 'breakfast' is a joke. I can't believe there is a charge for it. The think bedspread had to be supplemented by the robe I brought. The tub was so old that I didn't bath in it. I reluctantly used the shower. The toilet was so stained it looked like a turd was in there.

Bugs in room. Breakfast was a joke. Oatmeal and muffins and lukewarm coffee. The only good thing was convenience to other restaurants and shopping centers.

The room had an odor to it. Esthetically the room looked very cheap and cheaply upgraded. There was no breakfast, just a couple of coffee pots and some granola bars. I dont expect much from this level of hotel but this was below those expectations.

Least amenities possible, grabs d go breakfast was a few trial size granola bars even at 715am. Very small bathroom for two double beds, tiny shampoo and soap, had to buy trial size at Walmart nearby. Towels not bath size. Disappointed will stay next store next time.
