Stayed 2 nights

The original room we reserved, while looking nice with nice newer beds and decor and updated bathroom, the toilet flusher was broken. The staff were able to change our rooms, and the new room was outdated, flimsy mattresses, outdated tiny bathroom, stink bugs everywhere(when informed staff about the bugs we were told “Nothing we can do about it”). Cracks and plastered over holes in the walls and half the outlets were missing covers. Because we had driven in over 8 hours and were exhausted and sick, we stayed. Did not even attempt to try complimentary breakfast. The last night we were there, someone had placed giant traps for critters along the back of the building. The bathroom shower had pubic hair already in the tub, the shower head was not very tall, so taking a shower look a lot like Will Ferrell’s character from Elf. For what the room was, it barely got the job done. Not a restful sleep due to the uncomfortable mattresses. If not for the change in rooms, I imagine the original room would have been great. The updated new room was subpar.

Upon arrival we could not turn on bedside lights or the TV. They were unplugged. We found that the outlets were behind furniture and could not be reached. A hotel assistant gladly moved the furniture and plugged the items in. There were tiny flies (smaller than a fruit fly) flying around the room. I killed several of them. The hotel is an older facility, built before the widespread use of hand-held devices that need to be charged. There are not enough outlets to work with or recharge these devices.

Room was absolutely disgusting, hair on the bed, holes in bathroom with black mold, cracked sink with mold , Chair had very questionable stains, and the floor was supposed to be red but was black from dirt and mold, entire place smelt like 40 years worth of cigarettes smoke…Not a place i would ever stay!!! Pictures adverted look nothing like the places at all!

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! I've heard about places like this before, but this was my first experience. Wow. We committed to a weekend event in Lynchburg at the last minute, and nothing was available in town on Friday night. This was the only thing available within 45 minutes of Lynchburg. I tried to prepare the family to not expect something nice, but this place was on another level. The guy at the front desk was nice enough, but there wasn't much he could do, given the condition of the place. It seemed like only about half the rooms were occupied, probably because the rest were in such disrepair that they couldn't put people in them. They shouldn't have put anyone in our room either. The whole area smelled like smoke (cigarette and otherwise), including the inside of the room. The smoke detector had a plastic bag taped over it! There were ashes and food on the floor, and even a cigarette on top of the shelf! We didn't dare open the beds. We hightailed it out of there. The guy said only one other room was available, but someone else just left that room for a similar reason as us. I'll be steering clear of ALL Days Inns, even if it means we have to book a hotel another 30 minutes farther away after midnight, like we did here. Yikes.

First I will complement Chrissy and John, the staff. they were helpful and did what they could...TV did not work , remote was missing. replacement remote did not work, cable did not work. I was able to turn TV on manually. Cable box was unplugged, cables were a jumble. able to resolve and get it working ( I was a PC tech for 25 years) WIFI was terrible, phone never connected. It did in the office. Laptop did connect, very poor signal and useless. Bed was old and very uncomfortable. I did not sleep the 1st night, bath area was fine, clean towels ok. Would not recommend at all . I advised staff I would do a bad review. again staff was fine and did what they could to help.
