You have to pay 12 bucks to park 1/4 mile away from the building. They charged me for two days even though I was only there for a day. They ended up refunding both anyway because of the trouble I had. Nice hotel - good staff - crappy building conditions led to a sleepless night. The staff is nice - but when I got woke up at 4 am by random noises outside the room - they moved me - but I still lost two hours of sleep because of the loud consistent grinding noises.

We were told early check-in was available at 2 PM, we were finally able to check-in at 4:15 after a 5 hr drive. $12 to park in their parking lot, which we paid and was not able to find a spot. We parked across the street. A bottle of water is $6 at the front desk. Refrigerator in room did not work and smelled awful. No vending machines. No hot tub. All were advertised. Indoor pool, the reason for choosing this hotel, was unbelievably dirty. You could not see the bottom. Pool was closed at 9 am for "cleaning", we were told by our neighbors they found worms in the pool. Upon cleaning before checking out, I found a zip lock bags of pills in the floor behind the curtain. Therefore, it is quite obvious our room was not properly cleaned. 0/10 do not recommended. Please go across the road and save your money.

The hot tub had been broken for over three years. They said Sunday they will fill it in rather than fixing it, yet they advertise having a hit tub and show it in their pictures. Also, at checkout they mention there is a $10 parking fee. Long lines at breakfast for a single cook to prepare everybody's breakfast.

The hotel was very nice but needs some updates with carpet and furniture. The hot tub was broken. The happy hour free drinks and snacks was nice. The breakfast buffet was good. They dont tell you its $10 to park until you check out, we thought for this type hotel it should be free, a little ridiculous. Peoria isnt big city like Chicago.

The uniqueness was the congestion around that whole area. Of course, the bridge construction next door didn't help but it is very confusing for a newcomer to find the way around. Also, was blindsided by the $10 per night parking fee. Don't think that was disclosed when making my reservation.

The stay was average. Nothing to write home about. Room was clean. My 8 year old son looked forward to seeing in the pool but said the bottom of the pool was dirty so he didn't stay in it You have to pay $10 for parking regardless of how long you stay. The $10 comes out of the $50 required incidental deposit. It's been 2 days and the money still hasn't debited back to my bank account. The decor and furniture in the rooms are at least 30 years old and long overdue for an update. You get a ticket for a free drink, alcoholic or non alcoholic, at the bar which I guess makes up for the $10 parking fee. I'd consider staying again.

I would come back, but they need to clean the hotel thoroughly. The carpets were stained , I'm pretty sure I saw black mold in my bathroom on the second day I was there, and some counter surfaces were just grimy. My keys never worked for the pool the whole 3 days I was there and they must have remade my keys at least six times. They kept saying they would reprogram the pool door but they never did. There was some kind of police convention, many of whom were drunk and singing and chanting until at least 1:00 a.m. in the morning in the main seating area of the hotel that all of the rooms face. Just do a better job of cleaning and I will be back.

There was mold growing under a shelf in shower and under the lip of the toilet. The AC didn’t seem to work very well either. Never got any cooler after turning it down.

The cleaning of the hotel was awful. The room was covered in spiderwebs, and the bathroom was never washed. The bathtub was filthy with built-up dirt and hair. The bedding was not clean and smelled like urine.

Our room was disgusting. A million different stains all over the floor, carpet felt almost wet/damp. I didn't even want to walk on the floor without shoes on and having little kids with made me want to barf thinking about them playing on the floor. Went to pull the pull out bed out and the cover had blood stains on it... And pulled it off to go tell front desk and mattress had huge huge stain on it. Husband went down to tell them and they luckily just said let's switch you rooms. New room was better but still kinda eh. Definitely everything is way outdated and kinda dirty. Won't stay here again.

I called earlier in the day to inform the hotel we would be arriving later in the evening for a reservation we made back in July. Was told, thank you, appreciate the call and we will not give your room away. Upon arriving at 11pm, not only was our room given away, they did not have any more double rooms available. They only had 2 king rooms available and neither were cleaned. We had to wait for them to clean a room and then a family of 4 had to cram into a king bed and a pull out bed, which we all know how comfy a bar in the middle of your back is all night. There was mold in the shower, the carpet was beyond dirty and for the price, it was unacceptable. Finally by midnight we were able to get into our room, there was no offer of we will not charge you for cancelling, pretty much you have to wait. I was intending to stay another evening however, I found a better hotel for half the price across the river and moved my there. I was very disappointed in the service and the hotel overall. Definitely in need of a makeover!

Went for our anniversary and couldn’t be more disappointed with our choice in hotels. Charge $12 to park in an open parking lot across the street. Facility is really outdated and carpets throughout were very dirty. Coffee maker dirty from previous occupants. Soap scum everywhere in the bathroom. $4 dollar water bottles in room. One of which was a random brand from a gas station. Curtains stained with something red.

The staff at check-in and check-out were very polite and helpful. They were the bright spot during the stay. However, they didn't have a solution to an obvious problem, or an explanation. The curtains in the bedroom don't close so the lights from outside the hotel show right through the shears. It makes it very difficult to sleep with so much light. The curtains in the front sitting room also don't close. So the shears allow anyone walking by in the hallway to see through when a light is on. They said they would make a note of it, but its obviously a long standing problem and I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you need a darker room to sleep.

Convenient, great views, friendly staff. The suite is large as Embassy Suites are. But the hotel needs to be redone. Dark and drab. The bathroom is large and clean, however, the tub area is in desperate need of re-caulking, in fact probably a new bathroom overall. Room very dated. No convenient outlets or usb for phone, computer etc.

Our room had a bad musty smell to it. Everything was very outdated. Couldn’t get the room to cool down. Dark dingy musty and very outdated. Our sink handle about fell off. Shower was not nice.

The chair and bed were both very uncomfortable. The air conditioning was effectively a placebo. It did nothing to cool the room. That made me request a fan the second evening. They didn't bring it up, after 45 minutes I went down to the desk. Otherwise, the staff was helpful at check in and at breakfast. The carpets were worn. They were missing threads in it room. Outside the room it was unstretched. The lobby and atrium were very attractive.

Trick- there is parking fees- huge parking lot- not even gated so anyone can park or walk through but still had to pay to park. Slow service- they only had 1 person at check in on a Friday night where they were full between a conference and a softball tournament; it took forever to get checked in. As a Hiton Honors was not offered a bag like we have in other hotels. The room was super hot despite the request to the thermostat. The bed was not comfortable and the sheets did not fit- they popped off the first time we sat on the bed. It was clean but very dated. Breakfast sounded good but waffle was rubbery, bacon way overcooked, scrambled eggs were super watery and cold and fruit was never restocked. The line for the omelette with only 1 cook on a busy Saturday morning was too long - we eat and the people at the table next to us were still in line for an omelette- no thanks. Slow service- they only had 1 person at check in on a Friday night where they were full between a conference and a softball tournament; it took forever to get checked in. As a Hiton Honors was not offered a bag like we have in other hotels. The room was super hot despite the request to the thermostat. The bed was not comfortable and the sheets did not fit- they popped off the first time we sat on the bed. It was clean but very dated. Breakfast sounded good but waffle was rubbery, bacon way overcooked, scrambled eggs were super watery and cold and fruit was never restocked. The line for the omelette with only 1 cook on a busy Saturday morning was too long - we eat and the people at the table next to us were still in line for an omelette- no thanks. Very easy check in with good parking. Lobby had plenty of areas for socializing and elevators and stairs very nicely situated. Breakfast was one of the best I have had in a hotel and included made to order omelette and waffles. Very good size room with comfortable enough bed. Pillows could be updated they were very flimsy. My wife and I arrived at the hotel at 8 PM after having flown 2000 miles in a cramped coach class seat. We were really looking forward to relaxing with a glass of wine at the hotel. We asked at the front desk and the clerk informed us that the bar was open and would remain so until 9PM. But, no, it wasn’t and didn’t. We entered the bar area at 8:15 on that Wednesday night and found that the bartender had closed up, turned out the lights, and left for home because she felt that “It wasn’t very busy.” I expressed my dissatisfaction to the clerk at the front desk. She made it quite clear that she was not interested in my needs, and was not going to do anything to correct the problem, or to make up for the issue in any way. I ask for and then spoke with the night manager, who repeated the “there’s nothing I can do” line. It was clear that we were expected to go simply go away. Eventually someone from the conference center came downstairs and poured a drink for us. As she did, five other customers with empty glasses came over, but they were refused service. I guess they had not made enough of a fuss. The next day I returned to my room after a full day’s work to find the room untouched by housekeeping. There were no dry towels, no soap, no coffee, no nothing. I spoke again with the clerk at the front desk, and she explained that it was hotel policy that no housekeeping services would be provided unless requested the day before. They are awful. First they tried to tell me my overnight room charge was the regular rate (about $325) I had to show them my hotel.com receipt. They then said part of the up charge was a pet fee if $75. We didn’t have a pet with us! They then asked if we brought a pet named Stella???? No. We did not. Then they asked if we took water from the mini fridge. Water? For $25?? No. There was NO water in our fridge. None. Next they added a $25 fee to my credit card at 3:22 am on Sunday. Asked about this and they told me they didn’t know what it was for and “couldn’t see anything” on my account for that. Even though I was showing them my credit card charge. I insisted on a receipt for the correct amount. Sadly this included an overnight parking fee for $12 to park in an uncovered parking lot adjacent to a steak and shake. I’d never stay there again. Someone is to steal from the till w bogus guest credit card charges. The staff was Stellar!! Every request was taken and responded within minutes - The gift /goody bags were such a treat! The staff was friendly and efficient. I can't say enough about this hotel and location - It's away from the Civic Center - so don't confuse their Convention Center w/the Civic Center - it's different. My son was at a competition at the civic center downtown Peoria, and it was only 5-minutes away.

I called earlier in the day to inform the hotel we would be arriving later in the evening for a reservation we made back in July. Was told, thank you, appreciate the call and we will not give your room away. Upon arriving at 11pm, not only was our room given away, they did not have any more double rooms available. They only had 2 king rooms available and neither were cleaned. We had to wait for them to clean a room and then a family of 4 had to cram into a king bed and a pull out bed, which we all know how comfy a bar in the middle of your back is all night. There was mold in the shower, the carpet was beyond dirty and for the price, it was unacceptable. Finally by midnight we were able to get into our room, there was no offer of we will not charge you for cancelling, pretty much you have to wait. I was intending to stay another evening however, I found a better hotel for half the price across the river and moved my there. I was very disappointed in the service and the hotel overall. Definitely in need of a makeover!

Jennifer at front desk was horribly rude and very unprofessional checking us in. I had to call my bank because of the way we were being charged deposits and she was rude because she said she was being inconvenienced and we should of taken care of this before our stay. I did not know that my bank would not authorize different deposits at the sametime. We will never stay there again because of how rude she was. My granddaughter has autism and she was so upset by the time we got in the room she just wanted to go home and not even stay it took me over an hour to calm her down. she can't take confortation and Jennifer's attitude was more than she could take. Also, we had kids knocking on our door and walls and it took over a half hour for someone to put a stop to it after we called the front desk three times. The air in the room had to be turned down to 55 before it cooled the room at all. two lights didn't work. we called three times to get clean sheets for the hide a bed and no one ever came so my grand son slept on the couch without making it out. unacceptable.

Convenient location near Super Walmart and casual dining. Free breakfast is a nice amenity and staff was super nice and accommodating. Rooms are spacious however the rooms are a bit older in decor and design. The microwave and refrigerator also add to the convenience of accommodations at Embassy. Parking is $10/day. Overall, very nice experience and would definitely consider Embassy again.

I brought my sister to a concert at the civic center for her birthday and booked this hotel for us. When we arrived we were blown away with the inside of the hotel because of its unique look and immersive feeling. When we checked in we dealt with the supervisor Justice who was amazing!! I am only 25 and this was my first time checking into a hotel and she upgraded us to a river walk view and got us onto the premium floor! She was incredibly kind and informative on what the hotel had to offer as well. I only stayed one night but I would 100% come back to this location! 10/10 would recommend!

The bar wasn’t open past 10:00 p.m. The cafe is open till 10:00 p.m. and we got back to the hotel and wanted to order food about 9:25 p.m. and the hostess/waitress said their last call was 9:30 p.m. and we could only order something that was easy. I got a chicken quesadilla and it was wonderful but my husband wasn’t able to get anything because he wanted a meal. Little disappointed.
