Property is very dated. Rooms were just reasonably clean. Built-up dust along the baseboards and in the corners. Did not like the way staff at the registration desk during check-in treated another customer - then apologized to me as if apologizing for the customer who was really just making a reasonable request. Breakfast was about what one would expect. The breakfast room is very crowded in the mornings.

To keep this brief: We were told by staff over the phone that we could check in early. We adjusted our plans. When we arrived we were told we could not. We were told l never called. I showed them the phone log. Blank stares. We adjusted our plans again. We returned to check in. I informed the new desk personnel what had transpired. She screamed at me because it wasn't her problem. OK. The next day l went to the desk to request additional bath towels. l returned to the room to discover they were floor towels. I asked for the wifi password. l was told that a password was not required. We spent the weekend with no wifi. This is the brief version. Nice shower pressure, though.

As soon as we entered the hotel hallway, we noticed a strong damp, musty smell. Unfortunately, our room had a noticeable moldy smell as well, especially when the AC was running. We also found visible mold around the shampoo bottles and shower head. The hotel has a rustic, log-cabin-style feel, which fits the setting, but the property and decor did seem a bit dated and could use some refreshing. Since the damp, musty smell seemed to be throughout the property, we decided not to request a different room and simply toughed it out. Aside from the smell and visible mold, our room appeared to be clean, and the rest of the property seemed reasonably well maintained. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool, but it looked like a fun area. The breakfast was also decent. Overall, there were some positives, but the strong musty smell, visible mold, and somewhat dated feel were disappointing and made our stay less comfortable than we had hoped.
