What guests think

At Scottish Inns Westcott Street, travelers describe a basic, budget-friendly stay with very clean, quiet rooms, strong air conditioning, and a convenient location near Memorial Park and highways for easy access to downtown.

Many praise the friendly, attentive staff and smooth check-in, though a few cite impolite service or a less welcoming self check-in experience. Rooms are small and cozy with comfortable beds and cold A/C, but the property is older and some guests noted dated finishes, peeling paint, or occasional odors. Parking is on-site and well lit, yet spaces can feel tight, and one report mentioned loitering and an attempted car break-in. Expect a straightforward, budget stay.

Someone tried to break into my car on the night of March 27th as the alarm was on when I checked the car in the morning of Mar 28. They never got into it. Good to better monitor the parking area

Front desk was short/rude. Property looked run down on arrival so asked to see room first. Refused and was very rude. I went into the room and it smelled of mold. Heavy. I told him I would not stay there and he switched me to another room. This one was much better but the overall grounds were low quality. There were people loitering in the parking lot all night. No one asked them to leave etc. overall the rooms are overpriced. Prices to compete with holiday inn Express but competed more with oyo quality.

As long as people are half-way decent and kind, this goes a long long way with me. The three people I interacted with were likely from the same family. They were apologetic when things did not work, willing to provide extras where they could with cheerfulness (an extra pillow, etc). The room was clean. The AC worked. If I needed something clarified, they clarified it. I will happily use this hotel in the future.
