The room was good for a budget hotel. It was clean with a nice sized bathroom. Hot water was immediate. Big screen tv we couldn’t figure out how to work without instructions. Staff friendly at front desk. Take your own water or go next door to the gas station. There wasn’t even a water cup in the room, and the hotel charges $9 for a small water bottle. The price gouging continued with the world’s worst designed parking garage. If you drive a pickup truck find another hotel, as the spaces are narrow and impossible to back into. It’s $25/night.

Elevator didn’t work in the parking garage so you walk up and down flights of steps. & the pool was disgusting and not maintained at all, & very cloudy. The elevators in the hotel didn’t work either only 2 out of 4 did. The hotel was a hotel I would NEVER recommend to anyone.

Our room was beautiful! Only downside staying here, the elevator in the parking garage wasn’t working and the entrance getting in and out was rough. Also, the girls at the front desk only activated one of our keys so my husband was locked out until someone let him in. Aside from all that, we loved it! The soap and lotion smells amazing 😍

My husband and I were issued a parking ticket from the kiosk before the gate opened and we parked in the garage. When we check in, the front desk receptionist gave us a parking pass and told us not to use the pass issued from the kiosk and not to worry about parking. The stay was fine, but I checked my banking app and was charged $24.99 for parking. I called the hotel several times only to be transferred to a voicemail and never received a call back. I had to call my bank to dispute the charge and receive a refund. Be careful with this hotel!

Lovely hotel, very quiet, comfortable beds. I was looking forward to the pool- it was closed. And the parking garage elevator broke after our 1st night. Very inconvenient with my mobility. They should have offered a parking refund or discount when this happened.

The property was located conveniently for us. The room temperature was warm, it doesn’t seem that you really have access to temperature regulation. The body wash was not filled. We went downstairs twice in the evening and it was never corrected, then asked again the morning and still wasn’t corrected. It was disappointing. Parking is $25, there is nowhere else to park other than paying.

I was very frustrated becsue tere were no fees indicated for parking at this propoerty and I was ccharged 25 per night -- I ould have stay one exit further at Doubletree without parking!@ ONKIY one in four elevtors worked and it was on it's last leg

I came to Houston for my anniversary vacation and was very disappointed in my stay. If i can rate a zero i def would because the rooms online did not add up with the rooms in person. Our first room which was a suite contained roaches. When you open the front door to the suite there was a roach above the door the size of my big toe. Mind you we just arrived from a long flight and it was after 8pm that we got there. I immediately went to the front to complain and manager by the name of LOLA showed no empathy or concern to anything. All she said was she could switch my room. I asked for a partial refund and she told me i can get a full refund if i leave. I’m not from Texas how inconvenient is it to have a guest leave in a state then know nothing of and try to find somewhere else to stay. We switched rooms and that was no better. Ants in my bed, me and my girlfriend also got bit so many times in our room i started to think there was bed bugs. Our sink was also broken, the handle on the bathroom sink was off and when we called front desk again they told us we can switch rooms. Seems like the only accommodation this place has is a constant switch of rooms but no real resolution. Our room was also a suite which contains a fridge and a microwave but we didnt get a microwave until the last night of our stay and maintenance took an hour after our call to the front to bring it. Overall i hated staying here and should not have to pay the full price for such terrible experience.

It was convenient to the hospital the lady who checked me in a friendly. We had a lot of trouble with the parking garage infact got stuck the arms would not lift up for us to leave. Hair was left in the shower. And a lot of noise in the hall

The room was clean enough. We immediately noticed that there was no body wash or shampoo, no ironing board either. Cleaning staff need training or better management that actually care about their jobs. There were stains on the wall you’d think the cleaning staff would see and clean up. The refrigerator in the lobby was locked so I couldn’t buy the item I wanted My wife thought the bed was comfortable, I thought so as well but I noticed immediately that the mattress had springs in it. I liked that they had what looked to be a restaurant in the lobby that serves breakfast and dinner, along with a full bar if that’s your thing.

Hotel was very outdated and overpriced. Honestly expected better from a crowne plaza. There was also what seemed a water leak which made the whole floor smell like mildew the entirety of our stay. AC did not work at full potential as well.

From the beginning of my trip I had to switch rooms because it smelled like mold, had to go purchase my own fresheners. The breakfast was so horrible I wish I never included it in my stay, everyone does their own thing some days one thing is allowed the next day it’s not once again went and purchased my own avocados with egg since the line cook is there some days and not the other days. Smoked salmon being a option one day and not the next day on the buffet. The pool never gets cleaned I personally cleaned myself before I got in it, I have videos of broken rails and steps in the pool. The elevators don’t work in the garage and 2/4 work in the hotel. They don’t clean the rooms even when asked to change sheets they use the same ones, customer service is so horrible they brought sheets and expected me to change my own bedding after saying house keeping wasn’t there . There’s so much more I can honestly say about this place but to finish this review the key card for the room wasn’t working the whole stay for me, security was called to open the door majority of the time because his card worked for my room but my own card that just got issued didn't. I wouldn’t recommend or ever stay here again, parking garage has overflowing garbage for over 4 days causing cockroaches, very disgusting maybe consider health department.

Horrible experience for my 2-day stay. I've stayed at this property many times and this will be my last. Had to move rooms the first day because the AC wasnt working. New room... AC still not working (79° in the room), toilet does not properly flush, water is luke warm at best. Garage access kept disconnecting and had to call support multiple times. Staff was courteous but there was nothing they could do. The night front desk rep on my last night was full of attitude and rude. Came to learn that the AC issue was the entire building and was never resolved during my stay.

Location is fairly central, easy to get to things. The hotel itself feels run down and old. The elevator was dirty and didn’t feel reliable. Room was good size clean, bed was confortable, but the room did feel dated as well.

The hotel is kind of in its own in a somewhat busy area, but wasn't hard getting in or out. The parking garage is attached, big plus. Once in the lobby, it's big and spacious. The limited number of elevators (4) only comes into play at checkout. The elevators are old, but functional. Once in a room, you'll find it very large with a couch, desk, bed, dresser, and large TV. The bed was incredibly comfortable.

Check in was at 4. We were in a line of people trying to check in at 4 and was told no rooms available. They all needed clean. We had a concert to get to and needed to get ready. Staff were very rude and told us they would call us when a room was clean. Said it would be an hour or two.

Crown Plaza Hotel has been, by far, the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Not only was the service completely unaccommodating, but the staff also showed little interest in resolving even the simplest issues. When I booked my stay, my reservation clearly stated that breakfast was included in the rate (which we paid $21,999). However, upon arrival, we were told otherwise. Even after showing the confirmation email and screenshot with the breakfast inclusion, the staff dismissed it without any effort to verify or assist. During my three-night stay, I also requested a late checkout — first the evening before my departure, and again early in the morning around 9 a.m. Both times, my request was ignored, and no one followed up. The front desk was impossible to reach, as the in-room phone didn’t work the entire stay. To make matters worse, the room was never cleaned or refreshed, and we never received clean towels. For a hotel that carries the Crown Plaza name, this was beyond disappointing. As someone who travels frequently, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable or memorable stay. Expect more frustration than satisfaction.

Reserved the room almost 2 weeks prior to stay. When we arrived check -in took an hour. We stayed during the Morgan Wallen concert. They only had one employee checking in, which I would think they would/could of prepared a little better.

This hotel is well located. I loved the look, the staff, the easy access to other places, it was a great stay. The room was very comfortable and spacious. I just loved that your car is safe inside their parking garage which has easy access to the lobby. Would stay at this hotel again for sure.

Great spot to spend a couple days and explore Houston. Not right on top of the museum district but definitely close enough. Room felt very clean and housekeeping came daily to take towels and straighten up. The location is very convenient and a short walk to Levy Park if you have children. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

The location is great as well as the staff. A few minutes away from Rice University. There’s plenty of parking space and safe. The bed is comfortable. There’s a bar in the lobby with a friendly bar tender.

Was a good stay. Stayed one night only, two queen beds, without breakfast. Very clean and updated. Great staff. The only thing is ceiling kind of too low. Old building, outside looks really old. Inside seems like everything is updated. Looks very nice! Great location! Best price through Expedia. Highly recommend!

Bathroom shower head was strange. I paid over $400 for two nights, which is not the price I thought I was getting. I was told breakfast was included for my stay then told it actually wasn’t. The $25 a night hidden fee for parking was also unexpected. I will choose elsewhere next time.

The food in the restaurant for breakfast was pitiful. Denny's is far superior to what they served there. Food was cold, dried out and just not good. I had shrimp tacos one night and the grease that ran out of them filled the bottom of the dish. I have stayed in Crown Plaza hotels in Kuwait and compared to this one they were a 10 and this one was a minus 5.

For a older property, its well maintained. Kristin was attentive to my needs. Staff in the dining room for breakfast were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was great. The bed was perfect, and the water pressure was fantastic. i took my own king size pillow and unfortunate for me left it behind. (so sad)

Location was convenient, however parking wasn’t explained very well and kind of confusing. The dining options were also not explained well and didn’t see they gave us a breakfast card and it stuck to the door key so paid for breakfast only to have them had to refund it. Staff was helpful getting things corrected for us.

Front desk staff were friendly and courteous. Price wise it was a good deal but that’s about where the good stopped. The breakfast buffet had mushy watery eggs, no milk out and half cooked bacon. The waitress really could have used some help so assuming they were short staffed. Then the parking garage gates had issues to where we had to use the help button to be able to exit. We likely won’t be back.
