La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Houston Hobby Airport

Disappointed the TV in the room did not work. The Jacuzzi did not heat up. When we call the front desk for assistance, they advised us, it did not work. There was no sign indicating Out of Order. The lobby door to the pool area did not work. If you went out to the pool area, you had to put a rock in the door to get back in. The pool had lots of dead bugs in it. The gym equipment did not work. Overall, the hotel can use update on some of the amenities.

Everything was good,the room ,parking ,except the ice machine. One of three worked, my luck it was the last one !

Difficult to find property. Small sign on Airport Blvd. then finding building is difficult. Parking is difficult. Not optimum location.

What I did not like, it seemed as if a series of items just stopped working at the same time. The TV went offline, the elevator stopped working, and one of the machines in the gym was out of order. Someone began working to repair the elevator immediately along with the TV, however it was an inconvenience for a minute or two. Yet, I enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to stay at this property again.

It was great. Pool could be cleaner.

The Property is clean and staff is nice. Only issue was the jacuzzi is dirty and didn’t work.

Went outside to view pool and it was locked. When we tried to reenter, the building door key didn't work and we were trapped between metal gate and door. We banged on door for a while and was lucky to have a patron walk out to check pool and let us in. Also hot tub was broken and tv remote was broken.

Hotel is nice. One problem was the pool area was dirty and saw cockroaches.

There was one person at the front desk, 2 people trying to check in in front of me. Two people upset in the lobby given dirty rooms. The lady said they were booked, if so they should have scheduled enough employees to run the hotel. The hot tub was broken and the pool was full of debris. The lobby was clean and our room was updated. The tub was peeling white stuff. I'm guessing it was some kind of refinish that didn't work.

The room had a moldy smell that air conditioning system had mold under it and around it the pillows were very small. It was not worth the money.

My room was marked as a nonsmoking room and so is the hotel in general but it reeks of cigarette smoke and mildew. The pool was disgustingly dirty filled with bugs and dirt. My room must have mold problem in the bathroom because as soon as i stepped in the shower, my partner and I were sneezing and sniffling like crazy. Looked at the shower liner and yep, there was mold on it. The carpet in the rooms smell ATROCIOUS. The staff need to change out the carpet or do a deep cleaning. The cleaning staff were friendly but theres a man that stares at everyone and stalks you in the main lobby who I am assuming either manages the place. He was very unfriendly and was giving ugly looks - just unwelcoming. The breakfast was tasty but messed up my stomach afterward. Overall, the hotel was just not up to date in terms of quality maintenance and renovation wise. It is stinky and molded.

Tub did not drain. Room was not clean. Tub was cracking wnd paint chips falling off as you showered. Shower spout was very nasty. TV remote did not work. Floor not clean at all.

Cleanliness was the biggest issue. Our room smelled very musty, since we needed a place to sleep we stayed. Once we started getting for bed is when we noticed hairs in the shower & mold. You could tell the chalked over the mold and it came right out. The place is close the airport, but the airplane noise weren’t an issue it was noise coming from the hallway. As soon as we woke up we took off to the airport.

Cockroaches on the walls by the bed and on the bathroom floor not nice.

I saw a cockroach walking on my bed and the electricity turned off in the building the next day. It turned on after about a minute had passed.

Room was very dirty

This is one of the most run down, filthy hotel I have ever stayed in. Painting falling off the walls, AC never cool room and ran all night. Moldy shower enclosure and paint coming off old tub!

A big roach was on the wall and the sheets were stained!!!!

Hotel room and closet doors don’t work properly. Difficult to open and close if they work at all. Pillows are the bed were so small and there were only 3 of them. Room didn’t look like the photos. Front desk didn’t tell us how to find our room. Won’t be staying here again.

Rooms Keys don't work TV in the room - several news channel not working Had to switch rooms

Had to switch room because TV didn't work. New room TV lost signal for about 6 hours.

We got off a cruise ship in Galveston at 9:30 AM and didn't think the hotel would let us check in at 11:00, but they did! So grateful we didn't have to sit in the lobby for 5 hours! Nice sized room with a frig and a microwave! Unfortunately, we didn't have a car to get around and the restaurants in the area (that were walkable) were few and far between. The breakfast in the morning was pretty good:eggs, sausage patty, bagels, toast, muffins, cereal and waffle irons. AND, a free shuttle to the airport. It really did have everything you needed, although the hotel itself is a little worn out. Nice front desk staff, too!

Room was well kept and clean. Breakfast was good. It's near the airport, so you hear planes.

Convenient to airport. Confusing driveway connection to other hotel. Hotel needs to update doors/locks as our keys didn't work unless the door was held in a specific way. Hotel staff should let guests know this upon check in.

The breakfast staff was very friendly. The woman who checked us is was very nice, too, but the woman who worked the late night shift just sat there without so much as a slight grin. The breakfast food was ok. Fresh oatmeal and maybe some potatoes would make it better. The king size bed was very uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on boxes of refrigerators with a blanket thrown on top. That was the worst part.

Room had a musty damp smell. The furniture and carpet was outdated and full of stains. Several light switches and the desk plug did not work. Sheets were scratchy and the bed felt like I was sleeping on a concrete floor. I had stayed at La Quinta several years ago in California and enjoyed my stay. However, my last two recent stays at La Quinta have been very disappointing. I probably won't be staying at a La Quinta again anytime soon.

Older property with uncomfortable bed and tiny, flat pillows

There was a dog on my floor, he bark all night.

We have enjoyed our stay so far. Started with the courteous phone conversation with Valencia when we ordered the free shuttle; then the friendly and personable driver, Mark. The ride was very short and we did not have to wait long. The receptionist, Valencia was very warm, friendly, and helpful. The "quiet room" we requested is on the third floor and is indeed quiet and cleaned. We haven't had breakfast yet, but the breakfast area looks well equipped with the waffle makers, beverage dispensers and neatly arranged table and chairs. We are glad we chose La Quinta.

Cannot check in. Nobody was at the lobby.

They ask for $100 deposit and never return it.

Staff very friendly. Shuttle drive was excellent.

We arrived at 530pm and the lobby was empty.The person at the front desk was AWEFUL. I first noticed the hard plastic clear panels that were hanging in front of the desk, top to bottom which disabled using the front desk counter altogether - very impractical setup. The woman behind the counter - a front desk customer service person I would think - completely ignored me when I stepped up with a "Good Afternoon". She had ear buds on and was in an intense clearly private conversation. She looked right through me with a very annoyed facial expression. She finally stood up and said very rudely "Can I help you?". I handed her my ID and told her I have a reservation. She said "Credit Card". I handed her everything and she gave me a paper to initial and sign with military like instructions she barked at me. It was difficult to sign the paper as the counter was blocked by the clear plastic panels. She handed me key and all my cards back and told me the room number and where the elevators are. The entire transaction was horrible. The room was fine. My girls want to the pool but there were no towels. Upon asking the front desk for towels they were barked at by the same woman - she told them the towels better be back with her after use or we will be charged for them - like we want to steal pool towels? The next morning we gathered the towels and brought them to the front desk where another rude person was working. She was upset I brought the towels and insisted we leave them in our room

I did not like that we were given a room that was already occupied. I tried to say that above when I tapped the "Other" box. Staff was friendly & nice.

We had a lady across from our room she was disruptive, yelling and fighting with her boyfriend, I called the front desk and never came it happened twice , the first time it happened at 3:00 AM and another time at 8:00 am and another person was putting LOUD music in the room and no one ever came to tell them about the noise again early this was around 7:00 am , so this is not a quiet hotel.

Staff messed up rooms when we check in. We got the room key and opened the door of the room ,there was already a guy in the room. The breakfast service in the first day was also not good. There's no warm breakfast such as egg and sausages. Serving tables were also messy.

Street access is a little confusing, but the Lyft driver was able to find it.

It’s very close to airport and car rental, but not walkable to many restaurants. Although it was so close to the airport, it was surprisingly quiet. The bed was comfortable, it was clean and they offer breakfast. I booked through Expedia and wasn’t aware that there would be a $100 deposit in addition.

I liked that it was a mile away from the airport.

Great place to stay for the price! Pool was nice. Only downside was the location. Nothing was in walking distance.

The room was lovely, the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot with plenty of water pressure. The staff were generally unpleasant but not quite rude. The location is terrible. We walked through a very sketchy neighborhood to get to any food choices at all.

Very close to rental car return. Shuttle to the airport is every half hour. Probably time for a new shuttle van. Rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable

Convenient location next to Houston Hobby Airport. Breakfast times should be extended past 9 am to accommodate us travelers from the west coast.

The room was clean and fine, the check in lady was ghetto, not very welcoming. We had to several minutes before she came out maybe from the bathroom, but no smile, no sorry for the wait and most importantly no hello. I was at the best western by mistake first because you can’t see la Quinta behind the best western, wish I would’ve stayed there instead, they were more welcoming.

I was looking for a hotel providing breakfast and choose this hotel. But I was disappointed. Food was not sufficiently stocked from starting time.

the check-in after midnight was seamless and friendly. room very comfortable. though i disnt het tonise iy, the pool.and fitness room looked beckoning. only wish weekday breakfast lasted later than 9, since it made for inadequate amount of sleep.for me when i had a later flught to catch

Very clean, nice hotel. Much nicer than I expected. Rooms looked new, everything clean and fresh. Beds were soft and fresh smelling. Bathroom good. Lobby was very nice, and free breakfast was good. 2 miles from Hobby airport.

My entire stay was fabulous! From the check-in process, to my room being clean and comfortable, to delicious, complementary breakfast to coffee available all day… The stuff was wonderful. And the transfer to the airport was organized and seamless. My next stay in Houston, will be at this same location!

Hotel was nice and clean. Rooms were spacious. Housekeeping came by daily. We stayed 3 nights primarily to sleep. It was in a good location, close to expressway. Breakfast was basic- coffee was good and available all day. Some noice in the hallways.
