My stay here was adequate. Room was clean, staff was helpful. Free breakfast was...free. Not much selection, but it was free. The most frustrating part was the approach into the lobby. Very difficult to pull in to due to a steep incline, especially if you're pulling a trailer. Do not park in the front lot, otherwise if you need something from your car you'll have descend a very long and tedious staircase or a slippery asphalt ramp. Someone really screwed the pooch when they designed this.

The stay overall was good. The people at the service desk were really helpful and nice. However, I booked this particular hotel because of its breakfast and gym. The gym was trash. It only had three pieces of equipment in the gym which all three pieces were broken. Other than that the breakfast was amazing.

Close to Walnut Creek amphitheater is the only pro of this hotel. The entire hotel is due for a remodel. Reeks of cigarettes and dirty feet when you walk in the lobby. The hotel room itself is decently sized. The room and hall also smell of smoke and dirty old carpet. The floors were not clean/mopped as there was spilled sticky drink when we stepped in the door. Bathroom was clean. Desk had dried on mascara. Shower creaked loudly. For what we paid, I had higher expectations.

The staff was really nice. Looked like an old building that had a facelift, but nothing else. They cleaned, but smell wet musty like the carpets needed to fully dry. If an adult stays that’s fine, if you have kids not the best because can hear through the walls apparently.

Nice double room with a sofa, desk and two queen beds. Room also had a large flat-screen TV with lots of channels, a mini-fridge to keep cold things, coffeemaker and a microwave. Conveniently located just off I-440 in north Raleigh. Though it's located juts off a main road, the room was very quiet.

Perhaps the walls amplify noise, as there seemed to be a mandatory slamming of the door to the pantry next to our room, which shook the furniture each time. Outside noise is a problem, too. Perhaps they can put up some dampeners of some sort, like you see on highways next to the road beside the property. Breakfast in all of these places just gets worse and worse as it costs money, and that hurts executive bonuses.

Unpleasant check in with staff on duty. We arrived after 10:30 pm (front door lock without room key). Checked in received room key, returned to vehicle to get luggage - room key did no work on door. Front desk assumed I didn’t understand how to place the key. NO, it was the room key - he had not done something correctly. He had to rekey it. After that disappointed engagement. The rest of trip was ok. Possibly because I didn’t see his FACE again— thank goodness,

Everything about this stay was great. The lady at the front desk was very professional, friendly and helpful. She gave us a great room on the first floor. We really enjoyed it. When I asked, she told me about numerous places to eat near the hotel. When chose to eat at Mike's Pizza across the street in an old shopping center and it was delicious. So, delicious that we went back twice. There was still plenty of parking even with a large party of bikers staying there that weekend. There wasn't a lot of noise. Everything was great!

Disappointing Booking Experience I recently booked a stay at Comfort Suites Raleigh Walnut Creek through Expedia, but when I arrived, the staff informed me that they had no record of my online reservation. I was forced to pay for a room again on-site despite already being charged by Expedia. When I reached out to Expedia for assistance, they stated that the hotel management was responsible for the refund. However, I was told that all the managers were unavailable and that I should call back the next day. This experience was frustrating and inconvenient. I hope the hotel can improve their communication and booking processes to prevent this from happening to future guests.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! There is a gas station right in front of the hotel where people loiter. They come into the hotel parking lot. It is an extremely unsafe environment and the manager doesn’t care. Had my back car window busted out by one of these people. Desk clerk told me I could park my car under the canopy overnight. Manager showed up later and told me I had to move it because I was blocking other people from getting in and out then proceeded to park right where I was. No care, concern, or empathy whatsoever for what had just happened.
