Comfort Suites Central Valley - Woodbury

Great hotel, convenient to restaurants and to West Point. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Gave great recs for dinner.

Unfortunately, this was an awful hotel experience and I would not recommend staying here. As soon as we walked through the hallways, there was a terrible rotten smell. When we entered our room, it looked as though someone had already slept in the beds. The sheets were extremely wrinkled and did not appear fresh or properly changed. I went to the front desk and asked to be moved to another room, but unfortunately the second room was exactly the same. When I raised my concerns, the attendant simply said that the sheets were wrinkled. However, based on their appearance, I was genuinely concerned that they may not have been changed. The room also had only very light blinds that you could see through, with no proper blackout blinds or drapes. The lights outside were extremely bright and came directly into the room throughout the night, making it almost impossible to sleep. On top of that, the room smelled unpleasant and the air-conditioning unit was extremely noisy. Between the smell, the condition of the beds, the bright lights coming through the blinds, and the noisy air conditioner, I barely slept all night. For what you expect from a Comfort Suites, this was extremely disappointing. Clean bedding, a fresh-smelling room, reasonable privacy, and the ability to sleep comfortably are basic expectations at any hotel. Unfortunately, this property fell far below those expectations.

It’s probably newly renovated, the whole room smells of dusty and paint. We checked in for 2 nights, the conditioner and body lotion were empty. There was only half roll of toilet paper, and the paper holder was not non existent. The shower was even more interesting. The stream was so strong that it hurts our face and it pretty much sprayed everywhere outside of the tub. The property looks not fully done. The hallways always had bags of garbage or dirty linens. While the place looks decent on the outside, it was not definitely worth a premium price we paid.

Great stay, breakfast was good, can’t wait until the pool is back in order.
