What guests think

At La Quinta by Wyndham Clarksville, travelers highlight a convenient just-off-the-interstate location, generally clean, comfortable rooms, and a free hot breakfast that ranges from very good to average depending on the day and selection.

Service is often praised as warm and accommodating. Common drawbacks include highway and hallway noise, firm mattresses and squeaky frames, and aging or loud AC units. Facilities like the pool, hot tub and small gym are handy, though the hot tub can be closed or noisy and the pool area occasionally needs attention. Overall, expect a convenient, pet-friendly stop with friendly service and variable room quiet and upkeep.

Everything was great, however one of the reasons we picked Laquinta is because it had a hot tub. After a long drive, we were looking forward to soaking in it , however it was out of order. Also a smart TV in the room would be great .

Check on was a breeze and staff was friendly but unfortunately the room smelled like cigarette smoke. The window still was covered in coffee stains, the A/C unit was very noisy (we slept with headphones on) and there was no fan in the bathroom which caused a lot of moisture in the room after showering (there was some mold in the shower as well due to no ventilation). Beds were comfortable but unfortunately I woke up with bed bug bites. When we checked out I mentioned the issues but all we got was an apology. We've stayed in multiple La Quinta hotels but this one did definitely not meet our expectations.

The hotel was great. It was in a perfect location to everything and it was just off the interstate. The room was spacious and had everything I needed. Overall, the hotel was really nice but when i got there around 11pm, there was no one to be found to check us in. I waited about 20 minutes at the counter and then even tried to call to see if someone would answer the phone with no luck. Finally after waiting about 30 minutes, someone came up. The bed sits on a metal frame so every time you moved in bed, it was very noisy. There was also a lot of traffic noise from the outside. my room was on the 2nd floor and outside my door was a balcony overlooking the lobby which created a lot of noise in the morning when everyone was down for breakfast so sleeping past 6am was not happening.

Property was easy to get to from the interstate. Hotel was decent, elevators are not air conditioned though. AC was not on in the room so it took a bit to cool down. The beds are tall, so if you are a short person they are hard to get into. Beds were okay for one night, more than that, we would have had a back ache. If you like pretty firm mattresses, you will love them. Nice pool area and breakfast was the usual fare. Scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, cereal etc. due to the location, you could hear road noise and also people in the hall. All in all, a decent place to stay.

This hotel is clean but it is loud. You can hear every door slam, walking, talking and rolling items in the hall. We heard the alarm clock in the next room. Its just not a quite place. A few of the staff were amazing. Head maint.person was quick to fix our broken microwave & the chef/breakfest server was polite & kind every morning! BUT not the case with the front clerks. I was not greeted when I arrived for check in. Waited aprox 5 mins before i was direcrly spoken to and the first statement was: Name? I will add that that same staff member was very helpful the next morning! The night clerk (1st night) was absolutly horrible!!! He posesses zero customer service skills. We had an issue with barking dogs on our floor that woke us up. Went on for 25 mins. The clerk should have advised us as to how he was handling the situation (we were not the only ones to complain, it effected quite a few that night). Instead, thing like: Go back to your room, i dont have to talk with you, I have guest at the front desk, what am i suppose to do, and go back to your room or i will lock your room card, call the cop and have you removed. Never have we been threatened for requesting a solution to a noise problem so we could sleep at a hotel we were paying for. The next morning the manager was contacted & we were offered compensation for the night.

The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Our travel got delayed and they did a check-in over the phone ensuring we had a pet-friendly room as well. All we basically had to do is stop at the desk and pickup our room keys. We didn't arrive until late at night and after 14 hours of driving it was a relief to just go straight to the room.

Interesting certainly. Drunk, flashing guests, police showing up…gave me a giggle when I was so exhausted. Breakfast was meh, the usual hotel breakfast included. The mini-honey buns were cold but really soft & fresh & the coffee was good. Did not try hot foods. The breakfast staff was awesome! Super nice-felt like I could have almost asked him to make me a omelette. Service was truly great. With the check-in entertainment provided, the staff maintained their professional presence and attitude-I.e., did not share deets directly with guests, but we did get to hear the report to the responding officer. Truly impressive. And no dogs barking! Got to get my doggie lovin’ with a couple of cocker spaniels (I have cats). So all in all, I’d recommend it!
