Stayed 2 nights

Unfortunately, I did not get the restful stay I was hoping for. There was a significant gap around the door with no proper seal, which allowed a lot of hallway light into the room at night and also made it very easy to hear everything outside. I could hear the ice machine around 2 a.m., employees talking loudly in the staff-only area across from my room starting around 7 a.m., and a dog barking repeatedly a couple of rooms away. Then around 8 a.m., landscaping started mowing directly outside my window. We had returned from an event close to midnight, and I didn’t finally fall asleep until around 2 a.m., so being woken up so early by multiple sources of noise was especially frustrating. I mentioned the problems to the front desk, including the issue with the door, but the only response I received was essentially “thank you for letting us know.” I would have appreciated a little more concern or an attempt to address the issue, especially since the lack of a proper door seal contributed to both the light and noise problems. There literally was a gap at the bottom of about 3” because it was missing the sweep. The room itself may have been fine otherwise, but if you are a light sleeper or hoping to sleep in, the noise and lack of soundproofing could definitely be an issue.

The toilet and bed were clean which is what I care about the most, but almost everything else was dirty and run down. There were a lot of chips and cracks in the paint, and stains on the carpet and walls. Our shower had a wall hook meant for conditioner but the bottle was missing so we only had shampoo and body wash, and the water in both the shower and sink was always hot. The AC unit made a loud rattling noise the entire time it was running. The staff was not particularly kind or unkind; they just got the job done.
