The buffet was pretty good, the service was friendly, but really slow. I'm not sure if they were short staffed. We enjoyed our meals The bed was very comfortable, we slept great. The pool was very refreshing. Glas it was not heated, it was very soothing.

Nice property. Loved the room and cleanliness. Recommend valet because of proximity of valet parking/security. Shuttle service into downtown with drop off and pickup totally FREE is a major plus! Only negative thing I have to say is there are several homeless people that hang around the lobby doors outside making it look sketchy. Would definitely stay again…

Great facility with some good amenities. Has a restaurant inside that has breakfast, dinner and live music. Also has a coffee shop and a spacious lobby. The free shuttle to downtown was very convenient! Room was clean and comfortable

We had a great experience and would definitely book again. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and shared lots of info about the area that made our visit very enjoyable. The free shuttle was a great bonus helping us avoid lots of traffic and additional costs in parking fees. I must let it be known though to consider the fluctuating daily room rates (our rate for Tuesday was more than double the rate of the previous two days of our stay), the daily parking fee and the numerous taxes and fees that will greatly increase the total charges for your stay.

Amazing staff, so kind and helpful. I was in town to visit my daughter who attends Vanderbilt. Ousman, Kyle, and Brian went above and beyond to help us. I have some disabilities and had recent hip and knee replacements. Even the shuttle driver, Mosley, helped get me on the shuttle. A staff member helping with the cars. He has only one arm yet he saw I was struggling and helped grab my walker out of the car and opened it up for me! My mother was so impressed. Thank you Nashville Holiday Inn Vanderbilt Dwn Town. The only issue was the carpet in my room left my clean white socks filthy black. The carpet needs cleaning bad! Thank you, Karen

I arrived around 9pm after work. Checked in went to my room and there were wet towels on the floor. Toilet not flushed, wrappers and more towels throughout. I told front desk, they did offer upgrade but I was to exhausted and luckily the bed was made so I was ok with just staying in that room. Next morning housekeeping just used a key and opened my door! Luckily I had the lock on. Front desk called and asked if they were speaking to me or I’m assuming the guest prior. Come to find out, house keeping never finished cleaning my room. They apologized and the front desk lady said to make up for it she would set me up a log in for their points and give me 10,000 point for my inconvenience. Which I never got. No offer to take money off. A little dissatisfied in that. I know I turned down the room upgrade at first but since the house keeping almost walking into my room I’d assume they would try harder than 10,000 points to make it correct.

The hotel was fine. Lobby staff were excellent. Our room was not. It was mistly meh. The carpet was not clean, it blackened my socks. The room smelled of sewer and mildew? But the room did have a window we could open, so we were able to air it out. When we needed room supplies, they came very quickly.

Booked a room with a view of centennial park back in February for our trip in June. They gave the room away and we are looking at the parking lot. They gave us a reduced price on the parking the charge for and is just an open lot. This place is also not clean. Just saying for a place to that was intended to help break up a drive from KY to AL; this place makes me think I should have just drove the extra 2hrs.

Over night stay: The Carpet in room was old, dirty and very worn. Bathroom sink fixtures were stocked and clean but shower walls and floor was dirty. Base of commode was dirty as well. I didnt feel comfortable walking on the floors even in house shoes. In a corner over the bed was a spider web. I had an exhausting day due to health procedures at a nearby hospital and didnt feel well enough to notify anyone of the conditions or even take a picture. I had expected more of this facility because of the location and reviews. It was an Expedia recommendation. A very bad experience for me.

We had a nice stay. The location is amazing. There were some yellow stains on our room ceiling that were not pleasant to look at (room 523). Our bathroom was tiny which was a bit disappointing for having a king room. But overall, it's a friendly and comfortable property with great location. Lobby has some nice aspects to it, and the pool was nice.

The bed was very uncomfortable. The TV channels was very poor. Couldnt find any good channels to watch while trying to rest. The door in the bathroom was sticking and was difficult to shut and then open. Our room was next to the stair well and could hear the door opening until late. Probably wont be staying there again. The worst nights sleep my husband and I have had in a long time.

Overall stay was exellent. Staff was pleasant and accomodating. Coffee in lobby is great and food in Commodore restaurant is delicious. I had several packages sent beginning mid July. Staff was terrific about items until our arrival but one of the packages was lost and could not be found Amazon will not reimburse/credit me for the item b/c they said it was delivered successfully.

Hervie and the other ladies on staff were exceptional throughout our stay. Their kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care ensured we felt truly welcomed and supported. From check-in to check-out, every moment was smooth and enjoyable. The shuttle service was a game-changer—reliable, timely, and the drivers offered great advice for exploring the city. Although I missed one of my tours, I still had a wonderful experience, and I’ll absolutely return to this location in the future.

My overall stay was good. My only bad review would be my check in experience. We arrived Sunday evening and the woman at the front desk was not very welcoming or informative. I felt like I was bothering her and after a 12+ hour drive that was not appreciated. She also was not very helpful on another occasion when I had a question. I would like to note all the people in the Commodore Grille were very pleasant and helpful and all the other employees at the hotel who I came in contact with, especially at the front door, were very nice and professional. Thank you.

Nice property, convenient shuttle, clean rooms. Poor service front desk staff. (P) specifically. Really poor service skills. You could stand in front of Her 10 minutes and she wouldn’t even look up and acknowledge you. Expert at ignoring people and giving attitude. Good luck getting phone call answered as well.

Poor service the staff not good not friendly She gave us wrong room twice and when we went there was someone inside the room we were keep going up and down with our bags and 2 kids. She charged us twice for parking and she said ok will refund you when you check out ok it’s your mistake why you won’t refund it to us? I asked to talk to manger and he never came they said he’s on break @ 10pm wow manger on break while the customers need to deal with bad service .

I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Nashville and I've stayed downtown for business on occasion. Once business was over and I wanted to stay a few more days I'd head to this hotel. The location is out of downtown with a user friendly shuttle anytime you'd like. It's within walking distance to the campus of beautiful Vanderbilt University and the Athens of the South Parthenon and the park that surrounds it. The Commodore Grill with the nightly live music of songwriters is really special.

Valet front desk personnel were excellent. Room was clean and great except for the A/C was not at adequate. Shuttle service along with the drivers were great. Commodore Restaurant staff waitresses were as was the food. The prices for dinner are a bit pricey for what you are getting but worth it consider it is conveniently located. The 18.00 Breakfast buffet was a rip off as when booking the hotel I was led to believe it was a free breakfast buffet. I got a small portion of scramble eggs, 2 slices of bacon and a small bowl of fruit with a glass of water and on my way out I was told I owe 18 and some change because I don't have a voucher. I was never informed I needed a voucher from the hotel or restaurant prior to eating. Needless to say I was not happy as there are other nearby options for breakfast that would have had better options and prices.

Location is really Close to Vanderbilt and Broadway but Yes You Still have to Pay for Breakfast unless you our very specific but very Comfortable and it is a very expensive room service. The Cook for Breakfast is really good had hash brown casserole had to get a 2nd helping

So this property needs to have a little bit more convenient for as far as food choices. The snack center is awful I thought and the coffee shop was cute but they need to have more enticing, muffins and cookies and stuff that people actually want to buy some people. They were very very friendly and the restaurant needs to have better tasting food.
