Everything was perfect but I have to take away a star because of parking. Not great if you have a full size SUV or pickup. If I would have known, I would have driven a smaller vehicle. Everything else was great.

Room was nice and clean. Felt like a safe area and isn’t feel like I was on edge in the room. Standard rooms large with lots of amenities. The BAD I was charged 50$ for parking when the sign said 40, at around midnight my card was randomly charged for 20$ which we were still there so it’s not like they could charge us for anything in the room, which we didn’t use anyhow.

Great hotel! I've stayed there twice & love it. Lots of space in the rooms, clean, great service & close to the DC Metro. They also have a shuttle that will take you within a mile of the hotel, which is great for getting to Old Towne Alexandria. Just a couple of blocks from the trolley if you prefer a walk. Wonderful kitchen area in the suites too.

Easy to check-in, even for late evening. Room was reasonably clean; front desk staff was very cheerful. Note: the Hotels.com website allows you to book daily parking for additional $10. This IS NOT supported by this Marriott, which charges $45. If you explain to front desk, they may be able to waive it due to no fault of your own.

Rooms were nice and clean and the hotel is conveniently located in/near Old Town. As others have mentioned, the parking is completely unrealistic. The spaces are way too small and there is no where that a larger vehicle can park without expecting door dings and body damage due to super tight spaces. That will be a tough sell if we return.

This hotel is clean and quiet. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. I only wish the bed was king size. But it’s not a huge problem. The only other issue is that the bathroom sink is located right by the bed and it’s difficult to get ready while your partner is trying to sleep. Overall a nice hotel and I would stay there again.

Expected a separate bedroom like every other RI I've visited. My son secured a room of his own instead of us sharing a suite. I was expecting a suite just based on past experiences. As I was booking the room I noticed 'bed and sofa bed'.... took it anyway but disappointed to find it wasn't a suite. Staff very friendly and the facility looks very nice.

Not up to Marriott standards. Carpet in room worn and frayed. Dishwasher racks rusted. Window sashes broken. No hot water on separate days of a 10 day stay. Parking was convenient but overpriced. Upper level had a key entry gate but open access to lower level nullified any security. Sofa bed mattress and springs were terrible. Previous Marriot stay at the YUL airport was excellent. Very disappointed in Alexandria property.

Bed was listed as Queen but felt smaller, also was collapsing toward the middle which was weird because I was on one side and my partner on the other, neither of us were in the middle. The pillows were really bad, felt lumpy and were all too flat. Worst of all there was no comforter! Just a regular sheet on the bed. I couldn’t believe that. I didn’t sleep well. Breakfast was fine and the shuttle service was great, location was good too.

We loved this hotel! Everyone was so nice, friendly and helpful! Location is perfect, rooms are huge and having a full kitchen was terrific! It felt like we had borrowed a friend’s apartment for the weekend!! Will definitely come back! We love Old Town!! Le Refuge is our favorite restaurant and going to DC on the Metro was so easy!!!

I don't think I have stayed in a friendlier hotel. Everyone member of staff offered a welcoming "hello" whatever the time of day. I think the rooms are better than the photos imply - i was bit nervous of depressing colours and wear and tear. My own negative feedback would be that the shower over the bath lacked pressure (leaked into the tub via the tap) and the air conditioning on the loud side (but very welcome).

The room was clean and nicely decorated. I appreciated a comfortable bed and good lighting next to it. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They also went out of their way to accommodate me. One example occurred at breakfast. I needed a tray but I didn't see any. I asked a staff member for one and said with a smile, "of course." She got immediately. This was my first stay at a Residence Inn, and I'm now a big fan.

The staff really make this hotel great. The room was as expected, clean and comfortable, spacious by normal hotel standards. I arrived on a Friday after midnight and the night manager was dealing with a few issues when I came in. It was clearly a busy night but he was warm, gracious, and efficient. I wish I could remember his name to call him out individually! It was a trend, every staff member I came across was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place.

The Residence Inn was a wonderful choice for a quick getaway to Old Town Alexandria. The rooms were great and clean, the staff was amazing: we got a complimentary upgrade, had a pack and play brought to our room for our infant, and were treated with the utmost care. We also used the shuttle service and the complimentary breakfast, both were also amazing.

Great location near metro station and in the heart of Old town Alexandria. The hotel can use an upgrade but overall is in good condition. Walking distance to shops and restaurants also have a shuttle that takes you around and picks you up as late as 11 pm I believe. Near Whole Foods and cvs.

Great hotel in a beautiful neighborhood. Free daily breakfast with plenty of options. Easy walk to Metro and train stations. Easy commute to DC. A couple blocks away from King Street and the free Old Town Trolley. Check out the Saturday farmers market at city hall.

I really enjoyed my stay at Residence Inn by Marriott Alexandria, the rooms were spacious, clean and had a small kitchen if needed. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Great amenities like the gym and covered parking, good breakfast with different options, very well located close to supermarkets and Old Town, and loved that we had access to a shuttle taking us to Old Town in case we didn’t feel like walking. I will definitively stay here again, totally recommended!

Prime location close to DC, and the National Harbor with on-site parking. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious and clean. We had a minor issue with the TV but it was quickly resolved. The continental breakfast was good and they have room service as well. I would most definitely return in the future.
