Jet noise from arrivals at ALB until just after midnight. EV charging stations on the east side are non-functional if that is a factor. Room was clean and functional. Good for an overnight.

It was fine! The room was clean, bed was comfortable. The only issue i had was the ice machine was broken and my room had no refrigerator so i to keep buying something cold to drink. Conveniently there was a gas station convenient store a short walk from the hotel so wasnt too bad as well as plenty place places to eat. The housekeeper was very friendly and helpful and so was the front desk staff.

It was advertised as a free shuttle to the airport. When called he said sure he would take me then tried to charge $ 20 for a mile and a half to the airport. Room didn’t look like the photos.

We have stayed at this hotel several times, but it is not been well kept. The room was cold enough and the bed was nice, but the toilet stopped up and they could not get it unstopped. The gentleman who worked on it said he would tell them to give me another room but 35 minutes later we had not been contacted and had to go down and get another room. The liquid soap and shampoo dispensers were empty. The worst thing was this; we found a dead bug in our bed, and there was lint from someone else’s feet/socks on the bed under the sheet which indicated to me that the bed had never been changed since the last occupant.

This property is horrible DONT BOOK IT! There was mold on the bed, bathroom ceiling, the chair was cover in grime, there was blood on one of the pillows, the bathroom fan sounded like it was going to explode and it smelled horrible. The air conditioner was stuffed with dust and mold. I ended up leaving after the first night from a mold reaction and they only gave me a refund for 3/5dayss. BEWARE!

This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The room was absolutely disgusting the moment I walked in. • The walls and ceilings had stains, cracks, and what looked like water damage and mold. • The furniture was filthy — the chair had huge stains that made me not even want to touch it. • The bathroom was gross, with mold around the tub, broken shelving, and grime everywhere. • The entire room smelled like mildew, and to make it worse, the stench of marijuana from other rooms was overwhelming. I didn’t even spend the night because it was that bad. When I went to the front desk, they refused to give me a refund. That tells you everything you need to know about how little they care about guests. This place should be shut down. Save yourself the nightmare and stay literally anywhere else.

The place upon arrival was extremely dirty! Bedding looked used, stains on carpet and bathtub was very dirty. I only stayed here overnight for five hours and still felt very disgusted in the room. It was close to the airport. I found dog hairs on the bedding, mainly by the headboard. There was a gap in the door which allowed the cold in. They should consider replacing the lining in the door frame. The space in the shower and toilet area was small. I tried to call the front desk to tell them of the lines going across the TV screen but the room phone did not work. When attempted to call from my cell phone, there was no answer at the front desk. I called the corporate line and they had the same issue when calling the front desk. The lobby was hard to find when the only sign for it is under an overhang. There should be signage along the roadway directing people to the lobby for check-in. The bedding was very thin for the area of the country it was located. It was like having 2 sheets as a bed covering.

It was a decent hotel. There were several maintenance issues like a loose wall outlet that the AC was plugged into (the outlet was able to be pulled out of the wall, exposing the wires on the back side), the toilet had a very weak flushing action (would not survive Taco Tuesday), there were obvious cleanliness hits on the fittings, electric cords, and mirrors. The room was serviceable but the outlet is a glaring maintenance issue. I saw a maintenance crew performing work on the concrete sidewalks around the building so I'm hopeful the work will continue with the rooms as well.

The place was perfectly fine. I'd stay here again. Albany isn't a terribly busy airport but the Red Roof is right under the arrivals flight path; some airliners sound like they'd land in the roof! Ample on-site parking.

The property is dated and had such things as rust in the bathtub and no stopper in the bathtub. The water pressure was good and the temperature of the water was very good. The beds were comfortable, but the whole property could use a slight upgrade.

Rude staff. Understaffed. My key card wasn’t activated and it took over 15 minutes for me to get it resolved because there was no one at the front desk. The front counter attendant was very unprofessional and rude. Room had dead bugs and smelled like cigarettes. Opened dresser drawer and the front came off. This was a terrible experience. On top of that, our neighbors were super loud the entire night and barely got any rest at all. 0/10 experience. Don’t book here.

Only one clerk was working on the particular Friday night I was there. A 2nd person was definitely needed. The notification button didn't work on the phone in my room. I had to have a wake up call. The clerk said she wouldn't be able to give me one. I was not happy and told her that if I missed my flight out of Albany, I would be contacting corporate headquarters. She came back to the room and said she would have someone knock on the door to wake me up. I finally got my phone to work so it wasn't necessary. I will not stay in the Red Roof again in Albany, NY nor will I recommend it to anyone I know.

Scam alert!!!!!! Do not stay here when you arrive they will have you sign a form for what they will call a deposit. When I corrected the lady and said, do you mean incidentals she said no deposit I thought it was just different wording for the same thing. Days after my stay, I called to see why the $100 deposit has not been refunded yet. I was told that if you did not check out to the front desk in person you will not receive that $100 back. I ended up having to call corporate to get this refunded. They explained to me that it is not their policy for this to happen. The property is scamming customers $100 at a time. How many people have not noticed this. If you Google this, it will come up with complaints from the Better Business Bureau and other trip booking sites. Now for the room conditions Read all the negative reviews about this hotel. They are all true. Hotel is very loud from the highway and the planes that fly directly over. Room smelled like mold, and had mold in the shower. No breakfast at all just cold coffee. Stayed for an entire week no room service I had to go find my own towels and toilet paper from the front desk. Huge gaps underneath wall heater and on door. Room was freezing. There are much better budget options on Wolf Road.

I can write about how comfortable and clean the room was (which it certainly was!), but I think more credit should be given to the great staff at the hotel. I had a little hiccup with a hotel reservation the day I arrived in Albany and had to find another place to stay. I didn't get the name of the person who was running the front desk that day, but they were incredibly friendly and helpful with setting up a last minute reservation and getting me settled. It certainly set the tone for my stay, and everyone else I spoke with was just as personable and good spirited. Would definitely stay again!

I felt very safe. It was a little loud for a minimum of time - but I noticed only because I worked the night shift. Will opt for 3rd floor next time. That's right, I will be checking in again. The area was very nice and walkability was excellent.

I was in town for a four day craft show at the Hudson Valley community college so I just needed a place for an affordable price and this fit the bill. I’ve never stayed at a red roof inn but it met my needs because I would leave at 8 o’clock in the morning and come back around 8 o’clock at night. It’s not the Ritz Carlton, but I need a place with a bed in the shower and it had a microwave, a safe and a refrigerator so it met my needs for this particular trip. Wolf Avenue is a very safe street with lots of dining options from as simple as a local establishment or Chili’s to as expensive as a Ruth Chris steakhouse.

I like that the room has lots of draws for my clothes! I like the countertops in the outside of the bathroom where I can leave my make-up and things like toothpaste, brush and comb. The bed was kind of lumpy on the left side of the bed. Did not like the coffee they offer because it was too strong for my taste and they only had powder creamer.
