I would have been more understanding of the site condition if the pictures were accurate-they are not even close. The price was in the lower range but previous experience with Wyndham properties was decent. Looking at the list of amenities and photos it looked good. Upon arrival it was obvious those pictures are from the actual property, but are likely from many years ago. A pool is advertised, but when you find the indoor pool it is filled with green algae water and looks as if it has not been used in years. Probably a health hazard being stagnant standing water. The advertised bar and restaurant were non-existent and the "breakfast" consisted of a coffee cake square, some toast, or a hard boiled egg served from a man behind an outdoor yard fence lattice. The room itself was mediocre with what seemed like mostly clean sheets, the corners of the room had dust filled cobwebs that obviously had not been cleaned in a long & time-minimal effort in cleaning overall. We also stepped on a piece of broken glass on the carpet. Bathroom fixtures leaked and seemingly had not been maintained in some time. I would not consider staying here in the future. My biggest recommendation would be to require an update of the amenities and property photos because they are not accurate and it is unfair to advertise this as what to expect. I do not understand why Hotels.COM allows this to be advertised this way when users have reported this. Shame on me for booking in a hurry w/o reading reviews.

No Internet, pool not functional

Key card didn’t work 2x I had to get it fixed The pool was closed for repairs the whole time The breakfast was a little strange with needing a ticket to hand to a lady to get waffles??? I expected more than just basic staples since the webpage showed a big dining room with full spread breakfast bar the Fairfield Marriott in Albany at my last stay had a full spread and all you can eat no question ask .. I felt like a little kid handing a lunch lady a ticket it a bit strange ….

False advertising-no airport shuttle,no workout room, no pool, breakfast buffet was at 7:00 not 6:00 as advertised. We had no breakfast. I’m shocked that Expedia still advertises this hotel! If I had read the comments I would never have booked this hotel. It needs a major overhaul.

I booked this hotel to use the pool & relax for the night, prior to a flight to Florida, the next day. The photo in the ad was so inviting, I could not pass it up. Of course, when I checked in, I found out that the pool was not open. There should not be a photo of a pool. They shouldn’t advertise a pool, if there isn’t one. It can’t be that difficult to have the correct listing in the ad. Not acceptable!

I didn’t have any issues, but this is not the kind of hotel you expect from a Ramada. It needs a major facelift, from the rusty signs, potholes in the parking lot, tattered flags, chipped and worn furniture, etc. Looks like it was probably really nice at one time, but that time was probably 1987.

There were only two amenities that were advertised that they actually had. Free breakfast and elevators. They wouldn't allow me to use the fitness center and I doubt the pool even existed.

The pictures were not truthful... no fitness spot, pool "closed", breakfast laughable, no business centre (a room full of junk)... street people of all types just outside the building tapping into the WIFI. The staff was friendly and the location is right off the major highway.

Web site is NOT up to date. Shows two pools and both are CLOSED. clerk said they were closed a couple of days ago but the outdoor pool had a tarp over it and all was dirty around it. Proving that it had been closed for quite a while. Probly since covid!!!!!!! False representation on web site

Pool is under construction. Wifi didn’t work well on upper floors. Very bad smell in the elevators. However staff were very nice.

This Ramada Albany was no doubt the worst hotel I’ve ever been to!! It was filthy, rundown, and smelled so bad from the minute we walked in. There were old stained ceiling tiles in the lobby and all through the entire facility. Including our room. My husband and I arrived to our room and found it to smell overwhelming of old cigarettes. The outlet covers and lighting fixtures were stained brown and dripping with tobacco residue. There were visible burns on the bathtub and inside the bathtub that looked like cigarettes were left unattended. The smell in the room was putrid. The smell was so strong that it triggered an allergic reaction in me. I must also mention that there was one bath towel and two flat pillows on a king size bed that looked slept in. When we walked into the room the television was on, and it looked like somebody had been laying on the bed. My husband and I picked up our belongings, went to the front desk and told the attendant that the room was horrible. All they said was “we’re sorry”. I reached out out to hotels.com. I was assured they would help me to get a refund given this horrific experience. Today I received a email from Hotels.com the Ramada is sticking to their refund policy and I would not get my money back. They said they know this is disappointing. Yes, I am disappointed. and will never use this Hotels.com to book again. And a warning to all- definitely never stay at this Ramada!!!!

This place was gross. There was trash piled up in the corner by the elevator, I just shrugged it off thinking they were just getting it together. We found small bloodstains on the sheet in one bed, then moved to the second bed. Next morning we saw a bed bug on the blanket. It’s been a week and now my partner and I have bed bug bites. Absolutely disgusting. DO NOT STAY HERE. Pay extra for quality cause I know I will next time.

The property is disgusting. Our room smelled of urine and all the lights in the bathroom were burned out. We immediately left and got a full refund from Expedia and the hotel

The hotel was permeated with the smell of cigarettes despite a document needed to sign at check in prohibiting smoking. When I entered my room it was clearly dirty and smelled badly. The TV was on and it appeared as though someone was watching tv on the bed prior to my arrival. The last straw was seeing cockroaches, I left before staying the night.

First they don’t accept your bookings,I had to end up staying in a friends room.the rooms were filthy cigarette burns in the blankets ,mold all over the bathroom,toilet stopped working,some of the breakfast cakes were moldy

The first room, (601), I was offered smelled heavily of smoke, and I needed to ask for a new room. The second room (402), was unclean. I found a ball of hair in the bed. The furniture was banged up and damaged. The light on the right side of the bed didn't have a plug for power. The bathroom had a hole in the ceiling tile directly over the shower. I checked for a camera, and though there wasn't one, I'm sure it had been there at one point, and the tile was never replaced. I checked out a day early because I had requested room service to clean the room and provide new towels, but it never happened, and I didn't want to stay another day. The continental breakfast that was included offered scrambled eggs, sausage, 3 kinds of bread, 3 kinds of cereal, and the employee wanted a tip for a free breakfast.

The non smoking room was very hot and smelled so strongly of smoke that we couldn’t breathe. Furniture was all broken, mirror in bathroom broken. Everything filthy, paint stains on bedding, and ROACHES in the bathroom. at the front desk they had the nerve to act like they didn’t know they had bugs!!!! Now I have to fight to get my money back. Will not be using Expedia anymore.

Smell of trash and weed permeated the entire building. Dirty sticky carpets. No tissues, no in room coffee station, no USB charging ports in room, no phone or alarm clock in room. Ice bucket with no liner and no cups. Bedside lamp did not work. Shower only has scalding hot water, you can adjust at the faucet but once you turn on the shower head it’s straight hot. Shower curtain would not stay shut. Shower floor joist broken. Shower head extremely low, uncomfortable for 6’ husband. Hair on shower walls. Do not stay here!

The breakfast wasn’t awful, the attendant was pleasant and helpful, making the food worth it, even though it was sub par. He was doing his best. The breakfast area could use a revamp though for sure for better accessibility and such. Again, the area may affect this—I come from a small city in Maine, so may not compare to Albany.

The shower would not drain

There were black flies flying around in my room. The shower had to be repaired before it would work.

My son and I stayed here to catch the train to NYC the next morning. At first glance the hotel was very dated and in need of some TLC. The front staff was pleasant enough, check in was fine. When going to the elevator it had a very odd odor. Almost like a musty cleaning liquid mixed with essential oils. The room looked like it was falling apart. The bathroom was dingy and looked like it had stains. It also had this odd hole in the tile above the shower that I plugged with tissue because it looked questionable. The pillows on the bed look like they were made for toddlers and each bed had two, but they were about the thickness of a cracker. When I called down asking for more pillows, I was told by a woman that they “don’t give out pillows” which is something I have never heard of. Needless to say it was a very uncomfortable, sleepless night. This is somewhere we would never stay again and would not recommend. I’ve stayed in many places in this area and have never been to one like this.

Place looks like a haunted mansion. Dark, GPS said you've arrived but couldn't enen see the place. One ice maker for entire building and by 7:45 it was empty. Toilet so low almost killed us. Like a preschool toilet. Cheap enough. Never again.

There were people smoking weeds all around the building in the yard and parking lot;

The hotel seemed to have many transient people living in it. Our room was very musty and smelled like smoke.

The lights did not work in the first room I was assigned and it smelled of cigarette smoke. The second room was a bit better but also smelled of cigarette smoke. I will not be staying at a Ramada any time soon.

The overall condition of the hotel was disappointing. The room looked like there had been several leaks in the room that hadn’t been fixed. The shower curtain had several holes in it. The liner of the tub was separating from the tub as you could feel it when you stepped into the tub. There was no door on the closet and the room was very dark.

My room didn’t have a phone so I had to search for the number on my cell in order to call the front desk. Bed spread had cigarette holes. I had to go back to the desk because my keys didn’t work to open the room. Staff was very professional & courteous.

First of all door key is not working properly. It is very difficult for me to open the door. A/C was not working. Then I went in the front desk for change my room but from desk lady said no room are available at this time. I have no choice rather than stay with that condition. Sorry to say front desk lady was so rude and unprofessional.

Worse experience ever from check in to check out their credit card machine wasn’t working and got charged twice and they won’t return the money. Awful smell

More patches in the walls than original wall material. Heater was non functional, only cold air. Hot water took a long time. Morning staff(especially breakfast attendant) were unfriendly/aggressive. Bathroom was not cleaned. Furniture is falling apart. Keys always de-magnetized. Not a good experience.

I would not stay here again as part of the perk of staying was an included breakfast. The staff had vice like control over dishing/serving and was not very nice while serving. Eggs were so runny and unappealing that putting ketchup on the turned them to chunky soup

The bed was comfortable and clean. Aside from that, my room had obviously not been dusted in a long time and the furniture, bathtub and toilet were very old and it showed. The place is really rundown and an embarrassment to the Ramada Inn/Wyndham brand. The staff were all pleasant.

Declining property, unfriendly staff, room not clean, the checkin in clerk was real slow , took 20 minutes to check us in , he acted unprofessional and rude to other guests, no offer of water glass , cup , tea or coffee in room, a negative experience, Not worth the low price

Good Staff. Sometimes the room would not have heat; however the staff would change my room immediately.

Hotel does not look like pictures. Took an hour to check in. By the time I got to my room our food was cold. The whole floor smelled of smoke the room was dirty. Questionable substance left on the table. The walls were leaking, an employee knocked in on the door waking us up to work on it. I asked to be moved because the smell was overwhelming so they sent us to another room on another floor, wasn’t much better than the first. This hotel has so much potential but no upkeep. Would not recommend.

This place was just dirty and sketchy. Just pay 20$ more for a cleaner and more comfortable place elsewhere

I stayed on my own for one night. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. There were a lot of security guards there, which seemed a bit off but I didn't mind having extra security around. I was told that politicians stay there, as it is close to the capital buildings. Everything went well during my stay.

It was an average room. Clean and convenient to the highway. Average breakfast. Great for the price.

Isolated - next to highway. You need a car to get anywhere.

Ionically saying this property needs to be shut down and cleaned up. They spent more money on security than anything else. Which of course I appreciate since Im guessing but then I'm took neighborhood, I just kind of wish I was known that. But I would never stay there again and I would recommend someone else either

Clean & comfy bed to rest as my husband and I were in town to see a show! The bathtub had a steady leak which was a bit of an annoyance, and we left before breakfast was ready so I can’t speak to that. For the price we paid for a queen bed room, and our short stay, it was very comfortable, affordable and convenient to travel to the MVP arena.

Horrible hotel in terrible condition. Dark, dank and dirty overall. This hotel is right off the highway and located in a business park area. Very sketchy. Security cameras everywhere which likely points to lots of trouble in the past.

We are so disappointed with this hotel, it is a dump. Took some photos. Tub ran continuously you could not stop the water. I wouldn’t wash my dog in that tub or shower. The worst thing is we have another night there, on Friday night the Sept. 22nd. The only reason we booked there was because it was close to the car rental. Hotel houses a lot of immigrants on work programs. Wen we arrived all hovering outside. Very intimidating.

Used for migrant crisis. Room is worn down. Didn’t have any dead bugs as others noted. Picked because of location. Other than that I will use other hotel.

Liked:The bed was comfortable. Disliked: when we entered the room they had the heat on set at 85°F, it was like 85 outside. The bathtub tap had a steady drip. The set up for breakfast was annoying. Every place that had a complimentary breakfast was self serve. This was weird. It was part self serve and part was served.

I found 3 roaches in the hotel their breakfast was not what i expected it was a bagle 1 cup of coffee a waffle and some sugar cerial to choose from
